The Results

Sorry about the lack of updates guys, haven't had as much time recently.

There will be an update tonight of recent months, have had internet trouble recently so they this update wont be in the same layout as the last few.

January

Preston continue to shine under Gary Neville as their attractive football produced some fine results. A draw against league leaders Crystal Palace showed everyone that Neville's men could compete with the best. A comfortable win against fellow playoff hopefuls Charlton put the Lilywhites in a commanding position before finishing a great month with a dissapointing home defeat to Coventry.

We managed to close the gap on the automatic promotion places by a point and it would be a mean feat to finish their after taking over when we were 17th. I would happily settle for a playoff spot but who knows?

Preston Nearing Crisis

Preston North End chairman Lee Brooker today has announced that the club are in financial difficulty. The announcement comes after the board held their monthly financial update. This is the statement published by Lee Brooker on the clubs website.

Lee Brooker : "I am deeply disappointed to announce that Preston North End are living far beyond our means. Our expenditure is far too high for our income and I accept that it is my fault for giving manager Gary Neville the funds to challenge for promotion.



We need any income available to have a prosperous future. I am expecting Gary to cut down the wage bill and he must now achieve promotion, we need extra income. If he and the lads cannot achieve that this season, then we may be unfortunately forced to change personal as he is also one of the top earners at the club"

So Lee Brooker has given Gary Neville an ultimatum, promotion or be axed. Nick Collins,Sky Sports.

Ouch tough problem with the finances mate! Will defo be useful to get promoted :p

Hey guys want your advice, Im thinking of starting a new story which I may devote more time to. Do you want me to keep this up and continue on or would you be happy to see a change?
