I second that JK, I said before something about this story was different, hope it wins the June Story of the Month! (No disrespect to k1rups)

Moyes: "We Have The Luck Of The Draw"

After finding out Brighton and Hove Albion had beaten Manchester City in a shock result in the FA Cup Semi Final, David Moyes spoke to Manchester Evening News about the draw for the final, and how he felt Manchester United had got 'the luck of the draw'. Manchester United only had to face one team battling in the top half of the Premier League in the route to the final.

First, United drew Swansea City, a side struggling in the Barclays Premier League, which would be simple for Moyes. Leicester City were drawn next, a Championship side, proving no issue for Moyes' Boys. Huddersfield Town, another Championship side, could not compete with the likes of Manchester United, leading to a draw against Arsenal. Arsenal were the toughest side Manchester United had to face, but still managed a comfortable win. Peterborough United could not defeat the Red Devils in the semi final, and now the reds have avoided a tough fixture against rivals City.

David spoke to Manchester Evening News, saying: We have certainly had the luck of the draw throughout the tournament. We were worried about the semi-final. We had alot of games to worry about, and decided to focus away from the cup, putting out a stronger side for priorities. When I found out we got Peterborough, I was very happy. We didn't have to play our strongest side, and could focus on other things [the Champions League]. However, I still wanted other trophies more, and was expecting Manchester City in the final, and I knew we wouldn't win. Nevertheless, now we have Brighton, I feel we could win both, and maybe win a treble, wait, a quadruple with the Capital One Cup.

Although they may be a weaker side, they have beaten Manchester City, meaning they can beat us. Yes, I may want the Champions League more, but I will play a strong side for this. The board wanted me to reach the final of this cup, but I want to win it. Manchester United have had tough times over the last few years in the FA Cup, it seems like the one trophy they struggle to win. I want to change that. For the players. For the club. For Sir Alex. We will win this, and the luck of the draw will help us.

David Moyes has previously stated at Everton that he prefers European competitions to domestic competitions, in which Everton faced tough times in both the Europa League and the FA Cup, before he left to join Manchester United for the 2012/13 season.
MrJK: Thanks, nice to know you don't think it's just another United story. :P Will do. :)

TCO: Thanks mate, really means a lot. Truthfully, I felt k1rups deserved it last month, but I feel with the season ending and important events taking place, I could do better than in the first month.
Very favourable draw. Will we be seeing yet more silverware? :O

April 2013 Results Part 2

This was the tough part of the month. Four games, against four great teams. Manchester City away from home, our rivals. Two fixtures, both home and away, against German giants FC Bayern Munchen, and a home fixture against historic rivals Liverpool. Four wins would be brilliant, unlikely, but brilliant. Staying unbeaten through the month would be great.

Manchester United 1-0 Liverpool FC

Saturday 20th April 2013 - Barclays Premier League - Old Trafford - Att. 75,765

United Starting XI - De Gea, Baines, Vidic, Ferdinand, Rafael, Fellaini, Carrick, Giggs, Lewandowski, Rooney, Hernandez SUBS - Adan, Powell, Pereira, Smolka, Antoine, Fletcher, Smalling

SUBS - None

GOALS - Rooney (90+2)

MOTM - Rio Ferdinand

Wahey! Another goal in Fergie Time, and against our historic rivals! The team played brilliantly, and were unlucky to not get a goal earlier, so I'm glad we managed to get the win. Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic were rocks at the back, with Liverpool only getting 5 shots away the entire game, so it looked like one we'd never lose!

Manchester United 3-0 FC Bayern Munchen

Wednesday 24th April 2013 - UCL Semi Final Leg 1 - Old Trafford - Att. 75,765

United Starting XI - De Gea, Baines, Vidic, Ferdinand, Rafael, Fellaini, Carrick, Giggs, Lewandowski, Rooney, Hernandez SUBS - Adan, Powell, Pereira, Smolka, Cleverley, Evans, Smalling

SUBS - None

GOALS - Rooney (46, 64, 87 pen)

MOTM - Wayne Rooney

What a performance! Although it's only the first leg, I can't see us throwing this away now. Three goals will be great, and just one away goal in the second leg will be crucial for us. It's brilliant for Wayne to get the hat-trick, something I feel he has deserved for a while now. We're definitely one step closer to the final now, and just need to finish the job.

Manchester City 2-2 Manchester United

Saturday 27th April 2013 - Barclays Premier League - Etihad Stadium - Att. 47,405

United Starting XI - De Gea, Baines, Vidic, Evans, Smalling, Jones, Fellaini, Cleverley, Lewandowski, Rooney, Hernandez SUBS - Adan, Powell, Pereira, Smolka, Carrick, Ferdinand, Rafael

SUBS - None

GOALS - Hernandez (7) Evans (78)

MOTM - David Silva

A result I'm more than happy to take. A draw away is great, especially when Manchester City needed the maximum points so much more than us. Hernandez got us off to a great start, and defender Jonny Evans came in with a great goal to finish it off. The title should be ours now!

FC Bayern 1-1 Man. United (United win 4-1 on agg.)

Tuesday 30th April 2013 - UCL Semi Final Leg 2 - Allianz-Arena - Att. 68,000

United Starting XI - De Gea, Buttner, Smalling, Evans, Rafael, Carrick, Pereira, Januzaj, Hernandez, Rooney, Powell SUBS - Adan, Jones, Ferdinand, Vidic, Cleverley, Smolka, Fellaini

SUBS - Smolka

GOALS - Rooney (10)

MOTM - Jonny Evans

We've done it! We are in the Champions League Final! Rooney hit his fourth goal over the games to almost secure the game with the away goal. Toni Kroos did pull one back, and Robben missed a penalty, but we could still reach the final. Hopefully we can go on and win it now, it would be fabulous!

League Table

We are storming it! Swansea seem to be trying to creep out of the relegation battle, and could survive. Norwich and Southampton have both done well this season, hopefully they can stay there until the end. Come on United!

Player of the Month

Wayne Rooney. Wayne Rooney had a great month. 5 goals in 4 games, including 4 against Bayern Munich sending us into the final. He got the last minute goal against Liverpool to give us the win too, showing Rooney really has won us the points this year!
I didn't realize you'd signed Shrek ;)
Fantastic results against Bayern, even though the fixture list screwed you over with games against City and Liverpool in the same period. Great to see Smolka getting the go ahead in such a big occasion too. :) Look forward to next updates. GGMU

CHAMP20NS!

Following the 2-2 draw away to rivals Manchester City, Manchester United were declared Champions for a record 20th. Taking a point, and with City losing two possible points, United have enough to win the Barclays Premier League with four games remaining. Sir Alex Ferguson was unable to lead his Manchester side to the 20th Premier League title before his retirement, thanks to the last minute goal of Sergio Aguero, against QPR. However, David Moyes got one back over their local rivals, claiming, this one was for Fergie.

David Moyes took over at the start of the 2012/2013 season, and has only lost one league game throughout the season, against Norwich in October, losing 1-0 away from home. From this, many knew United would be in the running for the title, and managed to pipped City to the title. The victory will be even sweeter having won the title at their rivals ground.

However, the Manchester United squad won't be allowed to lift the trophy until their last home game of the season, which also happens to be the very last game of the season, in which Manchester United will entertain Reading FC. Nevertheless, the players and staff will start their celebrations tonight, partying through the night, celebrating their new record.

The news on the winning of the title will be released further towards the end of the season once the trophy has been lifted. David Moyes has said he is ecstatic to win the league for the first time with the Reds, an achievement he couldn't managed at Everton. Moyes will make an end of season statement regarding the title victory once the title has been lifted.

Manchester United, Premier League Champions.
20th Top Division Win! 13th Premier League title! 20|13 CHAMP20NS!

Jamesg237: Thanks pal. It's fine, eight place isn't that bad for Liverpool right? :P

k1rups: It's a brilliant place to win it! Champions League glory could be, but it will be tough. Thanks :)

2013 UEFA Champions League Final Final Opponents

Following Manchster United's victory over FC Bayern Munchen, it was to be an all-english final, played in England. What could be better. But Arsenal and Chelsea were still fighting for that last spot over two legs. How did they get on? Who will play Manchester United at Wembley?

Leg One:

Arsenal take the home advantage for the first leg. Chelsea beat Arsenal 2-0 in the Premier League just four days ago here, can they do it again?

0 min: Arsenal kick off for an exciting first leg at the Emirates Stadium

49 min: Wilshere plays it out to Kieran Gibbs, who cuts inside, shoots, and scores! Right in the bottom corner smashed past Petr Cech. Arsenal take the lead early in the second half. 1-0.

57 min: Nico Yennaris controls the ball in the middle, runs through the defense and shoots. Crossbar! But Jack Wilshere finishes up on the rebound, and what a goal! 2-0 to Arsenal.

90 min: Full Time, and Arsenal lead 3-0 over rivals Chelsea. One away goal in the next leg could be vital, which will look like an amazing game.

Arsenal FC 3-0 Chelsea FC

Leg Two:

After Chelsea were destroyed by Arsenal in the first leg, they bring the game to Stamford Bridge to try and overturn the results. Arsenal will just have to defend this game to ensure the win.

0 min: Chelsea kick off the game here today, needing at least four goals.

36 min: Frank Lampard plays it to Ramires on the edge of the box, who scores! 1-0 to Chelsea, could this be the comeback they need. Chelsea lead.

43 min: Eden Hazard extends the lead! He scores directly from a 25 yard free kick, while Szczesny can only watch the ball fly into the net.

54 min: Fernando Torres cuts across Monreal in the box, and goes down.. Penalty! Torres steps up to take the penalty, and goal! Straight down the middle. 3-0, could this be one of the great comebacks?

79 min: GOAL! Chelsea take the lead over the two games, thanks to ex Manchester United winger Antonio Valencia. At this moment in time, Chelsea will go through. Arsenal need a goal, and that would change everything.

90 min: Full time. Chelsea have done the impossible and scored four to reach the Champions League Final. Could they retain the title, after winning last year too? Only Manchester United can stop them now.

Chelsea FC 4-0 Arsenal FC

FINAL SCORE: Chelsea FC 4-3 Arsenal FC

The final, at Wembley Stadium, would be played between Manchester United and Chelsea FC. After their recent league success, Manchester United will be raring to add to their collection, while Chelsea will want to win the European cup once again, for just their second time. Manchester United and Chelsea also met in the final of the 2008 UEFA Champions League, with the reds coming out on top after a dramatic penalty shootout, a horrific miss by Terry, and an outstanding performance from Edwin van Der Sar.

The game will be played at Wembley Stadium on Saturday 25th May 2013.
