That is a bloody brilliant comeback from Chelsea! I suppose home advantage really rules sometimes :)

Moyes Delays New Contract Offer

David Moyes has today delayed a contract offer from Manchester United. David Moyes joined at the start of the season, taking over from Sir Alex Ferguson, but was only given a one year contract. Moyes earned £23,500 per week in his one year deal, and Manchester United promised that, if he bought success, or had a good start, his contract would be improved.

David Moyes was seen meeting up with chairman Malcolm Glazer and managing director Oliver Gill to discuss his future at the club. Moyes was offered a contract lasting four years instead of the one. Although the wage is not known exactly, it is estimated David would earn around £57,000 per week. The reasons as to why Moyes did not immediately accept are unknown, but the club allowed the Scot to delay the offer until the end of the season.

This could mean the Premier League winner could be looking for a way out, seeing what other possible clubs he could join. On the other hand, others think Moyes isn't that sort of manager. After a long spell at Everton, it would be foolish to leave a club like Manchester United after just one year. David Moyes will announce what will happen with the contract offer on 1st July 2013, with all Manchester United fans wanting him to stay after his success.

With Everton down in 14th place under the management of Tony Pulis, some footballing sites on the internet suggest Moyes may return to Merseyside to sort the club out, often fighting for a place in Europe under his reign, rather than to simply stay out of the relegation zone. Although Fellaini and Baines joined United, Moyes has stated he feels Everton should not be that far down the table. Roberto Martinez took over Moyes' role, but was sacked in December.

Manchester United have praised David Moyes for his success in the Barclays Premier League and the Capital One Cup, and are hoping he may be able to do the quadruple, which has never been won by an English side, even in just his first season.
Will be interesting too see if you stay or go!
Seni: It will be.. very interesting :P

Van Der Sar: "Squad Better Than The '08 Team"

2008 UEFA Champions League winner Edwin Van Der Sar has today boosted the confidence of many Manchester United players, saying their squad is better than the side that won the Champions League Final against Chelsea in 2008. Edwin Van Der Sar was the hero of the night, saving penalties from both John Terry and Nicolas Anelka to give Manchester United the trophy.

Edwin Van Der Sar spoke to journalists about his possible future as a coach, but mentioned the upcoming Champions League Final, saying: David Moyes has worked wonders with the clubs. He's made some excellent signings, and is really developing the young stars, it's brilliant. Now, the team is much better than we were in 2008. Me, Brown, Rio, Vidic, Evra, Hargreaves, Scholes, Carrick, Ronaldo, Rooney and Tevez. The team of 2008. Sure, we were good, but compared to the side now, we're average. Lewandowski, RVP, Fellaini, Baines, Hernandez. All players like them make them a better team now.

They can go all the way. They've beaten Barcelona, Real Madrid and FC Bayern, three of the best teams in the world. Chelsea are sitting midtable, and have lost players like Drogba, Makelele and Ballack. United can go out, in front of all the fans at Wembley and treat them to one more magnificent display of football, to end the season perfectly. This United team could be unbeatable in a few years, and they can show that during the Final later this month.

Edwin Van Der Sar joined Manchester United in 2005, and won multiple trophies, including the Champions League before retiring in 2011. He also said David De Gea is a world class keeper, and could be the best in the world. Many said Van Der Sar was the best United keeper since the days of 1999 and Peter Schmeichel, also being irreplaceable for years to come. Edwin countered that saying they have found him in De Gea, and that he will go a long way.

Edwin Van Der Sar is due to take up multiple goalkeeping coaching courses, and has been linked to a role at Manchester United.
Strong words from VDS! Is that a hint about Moye's future?
Seni: I'm not saying anything... ;)
Great update getting VDS involved. My favourite goalkeeper ever ;) Can't wait for the revelation about Moyes' future!
John Ruddy though;)
OnTheBall: Thanks mate, it will be interesting.

TCO: Oh dear :P

May 2013 Results

The ending to the season, the last three games. United may have already won the league, but with the cup finals to play, how would Moyes play the games? A strong side taking the points? A weaker side maybe only picking up one thing. He knew won thing though, United were Champions!

West Bromwich Albion 1-1 Manchester United

Saturday 4th May 2013 - Barclays Premier League - The Hawthorns - Att. 26,445

United Starting XI - De Gea, Baines, Jones, Evans, Smalling, Scholes, Smolka, Giggs, Lewandowski, Powell, Antoine SUBS - Adan, Pereira, Ferdinand, Cleverley, Carrick, Rafael, Vidic

SUBS - Pereira

GOALS - Lewandowski (13)

MOTM - Phil Jones

Resting a lot of big names for the upcoming finals meant even Nick Powell got a game up front. As a result, a point from this is great, as West Brom have been on pretty good form lately. Phil Jones played well to get the Man of the Match award too!

Manchester United 0-1 Arsenal FC

Wednesday 8th May 2013 - Barclays Premier League - Old Trafford - Att. 75,765

United Starting XI - De Gea, Baines, Evans, Jones, Smalling, Fellaini, Smolka, Giggs, Fletcher, Powell, Antoine SUBS - Adan Pereira, Ferdinand, Cleverley, Carrick, Rafael, Vidic

SUBS - None

GOALS - None

MOTM - Jonny Evans

It was going to be a tough game with a weak side, and only conceding the one wasn't bad. Unfortunately, our very long unbeaten run has ended, but it hasn't dampened spirits too much. However, I felt we were unlucky to not score.
