Nice update, nice signings! Bruno Martins Indi has eyes like Ozil :))

Nedved talks about the departure and arrivals

After being handed an extra £20 million, Juventus manager, Pavel Nedved has talked up on who they signed, and most importantly, who they let go..

Nedved said,"This month was perhaps the toughest, as we played 7 matches and had to keep an eye on the transfer window. Players like Arturito (Vidal), Giorgio (Chiellini) and Paul (Pogba) were injured and I had my sights on a defender, whether it was on a loan or a permanent transfer." The Juve manager continued,"We assessed all the options throughout the window, which were either signing Marquinhos or Capuano on permanent, or go into the cheaper way, which was a loan." The unbeaten manager went further by saying,"With Nicolas Pareja, Papa Gueye and Fernando Amorebieta all loan listed and transfer listed, I chose experience, as we might need either of those players to rotate." Before revealing who the player who was signed he said," I prefer someone who is like Chiellini. He isn't the fastest defender in the world, but he is secure. That's the reason we haven't conceded so much this year." Nedved finally said," That's why I chose Amorebieta. He has plenty of national experience, as well as a lot of club experience. I was very surprised when I saw him available." Revealing how the deal went, Nedved said,"It was very tough to convince Amorebieta that Juve should be where he should be. He wasn't getting any playing time at Bilbao, which is weird for a player of his calibre. I told him that if he performed adequately, we should be signing him, which is a small fee of £1.5 million, which is a bargain for what Amorebieta brings to the table."

Not long after, youngster Hordur Magnusson was seen leaving the first-team training, and heading out to Pisa, where Nedved told us that he was leaving on loan.

He said,"Magnusson is a player that we used on a rotational basis in the Coppa Italia, in the league and the Champions League. However, he wasn't getting enough time and the staff recommended me to loan him out." Nedved continued,"He's a fantastic talent, whenever he came on, he was secure and I can definitely see him breaking into the team in a couple of years."

Responding to what reporters said about speculation on Capuano Nedved said,"I already said that we are looking into Marco (Capuano). He's a player I can see being a future Juventus captain or maybe vice-captain, depending on how he does. He might stay at Pescara if they keep their Serie A status, but a player of his quality shouldn't be there. It's simple.

Beautiful Update, yours always are to a high standard. Some decent players you have been linked to, definitely sign Capuano, he is fantastic!
Great update, I totally agree with Nath. I will be following!
Great update mate, Amorebieta is a great player! Capuano alaso is a very good player, it would be great if you sign him!
@Seni: Not nice that you are criticizing your player's looks! Lmfao though. imo he has a rape face.

@Nathaniel: Thanks! Might sign him when Pescara get relegated!

@TV: What I said to Nath ^.

@AAN: Thanks, I signed them late into the transfer window! Brings some squad depth! Capuano is slowly rising in my game!

January: Hardest Month Yet

Parma 2 - 4 Juventus F.C.

Sunday 6th January 2013 – Serie A TIM – Ennio Tardini, Parma – Att. 22,454

Juventus starting XI (3-1-4-2) Buffon, Sakho, Chiellini, Bonucci, Pirlo, Marchisio, Pogba, Pepe, Isla, Vucinic, Cavani

Mauricio Isla (12) Mirko Vucinic (14) Mamadou Sakho (22) and Andrea Pirlo (70)

Subs Padoin and Immobile

Andrea Pirlo (8.5)

To start the year against Parma, who were over-achieving this season, wasn't good at all. But, when we started the game, I knew that Juventus was going to win. Isla, Vucinic and Sakho all got into the scoresheet, which emphasized what I felt early on, but as the team got confident, we conceded two quick goals from Galloppa and Morrone. It was then I saw Biabany as their key man. He would drift out and in during the match, but when he was in good form, so was their team. During half-time, I signalled my team to shut out Biabany, and they did. As we controlled the game, Parma conceded a penalty, and Pirlo, confident as always, chips the ball. The game was back on our hands and before you knew it, the ref had finished the game.

Juventus F.C. 3 - 1 Napoli

Wednesday 9th January 2013 – Coppa Italia Quarter Final – Juventus Stadium, Turin – Att. 38,089

Juventus starting XI (3-1-4-2) Buffon, Sakho, Chiellini, Bonucci, Pirlo, Marchisio, Bertolacci, Giovinco, Pepe, Jovetic, Cavani

Stevan Jovetic (88,95,105+1)

Subs Marrone, Isla and Pogba

Edinson Cavani (8.8)

This match and the next were going to be against Napoli, at home. Without Lichsteiner (injury) and Asamoah (African Cup of Nations) I fielded Pepe and Giovinco, players that were more offensive minded than defensive. Even though I had Padoin, Giovinco deserved it, as he impressed during the training ground. Facing Napoli is never easy, and after Giovinco made a mistake, Hamsik capitalized it, scoring early on. It was the 70th minute and I thought to myself, this is where it ends. Our 28 unbeaten match would end. However, after watching Cavani struggling to score. I communicated with Jovetic to switch from a target man to a poacher. The last few minutes were all nervous, but the debutant, Jovetic, scored a hat-trick to win us the game.

Juventus 1 - 1 Inter

Sunday 13th January 2013 – Serie A TIM – Juventus Stadium, Turin – Att. 37,726

Juventus starting XI (3-1-4-2) Buffon, Peluso, Chiellini, Bonucci, Pirlo, Marchisio, Bertolacci, Vidal, Padoin, Jovetic, Cavani

Claudio Marchisio (71)

Subs Pepe, Magnusson and Pogba

Lorenzo Insigne (8.1)

After beating Napoli at extra time during the last game, I made some changes. However, my attackers were the same, except of some slight accomodations. However, again, we started losing against Napoli, but we always were in control of the match. That's when Jovetic, handled the ball, and passed it to Marchisio who fired away to De Sanctis's goal, where he couldn't do much. The match ended controversially, as Cavani was brought down in the penalty area, and no penalty was awarded.

Delfini Pescara 0 - 2 Juventus F.C.

Wednesday 16th January 2013 – Serie A TIM – Juventus Stadium, Turin – Att. 39,062

Juventus starting XI (3-1-4-2) Buffon, Sakho, Caceres, Peluso, Pogba, Marrone, Bertolacci, Pepe, Padoin, Jovetic, Cavani

Stevan Jovetic (26) and Simone Padoin (53)

Subs Padoin and Vidal

Mamadou Sakho (9.9)

With our team having great players waiting to get their chance, I decided to field a lot of our youngsters against Pescara to impress me and the away fans. Plus, I wanted to show how much of squad depth I had to the other rivals. However, I wasn't going into the field with on-fire Stevan Jovetic, and he scored another goal, this time in the 26th minute. Dominating for the rest of the match, Simone Padoin scored a freak goal, as he took a chance when Perin misplaced a pass.

Juventus F.C. 4 - 1 Chievo Verona

Saturday 19th January 2013 – Serie A TIM – Olimpico, Turin – Att. 37,818

Juventus starting XI (3-1-4-2) Buffon, Bonucci, Chiellini, Sakho, Pirlo, Vidal, Marchisio, Asamoah, Isla, Vucinic, Cavani

Mirko Vucinic (9) Simone Pepe (23,50) Edinson Cavani (47)

Subs None

Simone Pepe (9.4)

Chievo are simply a team that weren't up to the challenge. They came into the game without any effort to win it, which the team capitalized. After Vucinic and the Pepe goals, Cavani scored. When Cavani scored that 47th minute goal, I was ecstatic. His bad form, which carried into an 11 hour goal drought, made him feel better. How he celebrated that goal, pointing it to me, was just emotional. An easy match for the team.

Palermo 2 - 2 Juventus F.C.

Wednesday 23rd January 2013 – Coppa Italia Semi-Final First Leg – Renzo Barbera - La Favorita, Palermo – Att. 36,349

Juventus starting XI (3-1-4-2) Buffon, Caceres, Caceres, Bonucci, Pirlo, Marchisio, Vidal, Pepe, Isla, Vucinic, Cavani

Arturo Vidal (61) Andrea Bertolacci Cavani (87)

Subs Pogba, Bertolacci and Padoin

Palermo were having a dream cup season, as they had beaten Siena, Parma and AC Milan to get to the semis. We knew that they were a team that would be stubborn, so I fielded a decent side against them. After Miccoli beat Buffon, I talked to the team. I asked them,"Do you want to win the Coppa Italia? Because surely you don't seem like a team that doesn't want it." They got into the 2nd half and scored immediately. When Bertolacci was about to get subbed in, I told him,"No worries, we are drawing away, but you can crack a shot if you can see it." Bertolacci didn't get much of a chance throughout the 30 minutes he played, but in the final minutes, he fired a cracker of a goal to give us the lead.. temporarily.

Catania 1 - 1 Juventus F.C.

Saturday 26th January 2013 – Serie A TIM – Cibali, Catania – Att. 19,468

Juventus starting XI (3-1-4-2) Buffon, Caceres, Chiellini, Bonucci, Pirlo, Bertolacci, Vidal, Pepe, Isla, Vucinic, Jovetic

Stevan Jovetic (40)

Subs Marrone and Marchisio

Catania were perhaps one of the teams that I thought we would win easily. However, with Alejandro Gomez, you can expect the unexpectable. But, as soon as the ref pointed to the penalty spot, Jovetic asked for the penalty to be his, so he would score his 6th goal of the season. Even if we took a point home, we would still be on top.

Juventus F.C. 5 - 2 Palermo

Wednesday 30th January 2013 – Coppa Italia Semi-Final Second Leg – Juventus Stadium, Turin – Att. 36,349

Juventus starting XI (3-1-4-2) Buffon, Caceres, Chiellini, Bonucci, Pirlo, Marchisio, Vidal, Pepe, Isla, Vucinic, Jovetic

Simone Pepe (5) Stevan Jovetic (6,45+3, 47) and Mamadou Sakho (23)

Subs Pogba, Bertolacci and Padoin

After drawing them in the first leg, I fielded the strongest team possible, and boy, did it pay back nicely. We beat them 5-2, which we shouldn't have conceded in all truths. With a hat-trick of Jovetic and goals from Pepe and Sakho, we won the semi-finals, and headed into the long-awaited final against AS Roma. As the team flooded into the Juventus Stadium pitch, I looked hard to the team and I thought, we deserve this.

Player of the Month

The player of the month is none other than our new striker, Stevan Jovetic, who scored an impressive 8 goals 4 appearances. He saved us multiple times, most importantly against Palermo and Napoli, which we had seemed that we were losing our first match of the season, who were the hardest team to beat in this month.
You still could not beat my beloved Inter :P

Champions League Knockout Round

F.C. Barcelona vs Juventus F.C. – Champions League Knockout Round First Leg 20.02.2013

In a surprising line-up, Tito Vilanova hasn't put on his best players, Messi, Xavi and Carles Puyol on the starting eleven, as they will miss out on injury. Whether they make it to the second leg in Turin, remains unknown. All we know that Juventus chances have boosted after these news.

We're here in Catalunya in the Camp Nou for the first Knockout Round of this year's Champions League edition. This extraordinary match will be held at Camp Nou and perhaps the biggest game of the season and the first for already proven manager, Pavel Nedved. The former Juventus player has taken Juventus new heights, not losing a game since he has been in charge, even in the pre-season. The team led by Tito Vilanova haven't taken any chances and has put up a great team. Both line-ups are below.

Juventus however, will pose a tough task for Barcelona, as their star player, Lionel Messi moved is out injured. It will be interesting how Barcelona will cope without Messi.

Here are the lineups for both teams:

Juventus F.C. (3-1-4-2): Buffon, Bonucci, Chiellini, Sakho, Pirlo, Vidal, Marchisio, Isla, Asamoah, Vucinic, Jovetic.

F.C. Barcelona (4-3-3): Valdes, Alves, Pique, Song, Alba, Mascherano, Busquets, Fabregas, Iniesta, Pedro, Villa.

Strong lineups for both teams here. This match could be tense.

Commentary from Fabio Carressa

1': Barcelona get us underway here in the First Leg in the Knockout Round fixture of Barca vs Juve!

3': Barcelona, as always start dominating. Vucinic tackles Pique in an awful way! Certainly a yellow card? Yes, Vucinic has been given a yellow card only into the 3rd minute!

3' Mirko Vucinic

10': Busquets plays it to Fabregas. Fabregas controls the ball and he sees Pedro run! He passes it to Pedro aaand.. Offside! A nice try for Barcelona, but they'll need to do better in order to beat Juventus!

15': Chiellini to take the long throw-in. Bonucci can't beat Song. Song clears away and the ball is back into Juve's hands. Asamoah whips the cross and Sakho meets the ball! GOAL FOR JUVENTUS! Sakho. 1-0.

15' Mamadou Sakho

45: Half Time here at Camp Nou! It's been an interesting match for the first 45 minutes where we have seen the ball hit the back of the net once.

45': Juventus start the second half.

53' Alba throws the ball to Pique. Pique loses control to the Isla where he passes it to Vucinic! Vucinic is 1v1 with Valdes!! He shoots! GOAAL! Juve up by two goals, away! Barca are definitely missing Messi! Vucinic 2-0.

53' Mirko Vucinic 2-0

56' After Alba scored a field goal, Buffon will start the game again with a goal-kick. He passes the ball to Sakho. Sakho passes it back to Chiellini. Chiellini passes it to Bonucci. Bonucci passes it to Mascherano! Mascherano shoots! Buffon saves! Oh no, Villa has the rebound! Goal for Barca! Villa 2-1

56' David Villa 2-1

66' Asamoah jumps for the ball! He loses it but seems to be injured. Looking back at the replay, Asamoah seems to have fallen awkwardly on his ankle. Seems painful and will definitely have to come off.

66' Kwadwo Asamoah

66' Looks like Juventus will make a substitution with the injury. Injured player, Kwadwo Asamoah, will be replaced by Simone Padoin.

66' Simone Padoin

Looks like midfield maestro Andrea Pirlo will be changed as he showed signs of exhaustion. Nedved has decided to bring in Bertolacci. Will Vidal be slotted into Pirlo's role? It seems so as Vidal has been put into a deeper role.

74' Andrea Bertolacci

Nedved wants an extra goal as he is taking off Jovetic, who has been under-performing in this match! Cavani has entered the game.

80' Edinson Cavani

90(+2)' Maybe the last attack for Barcelona who are looking for an equalizer! Villa heads the ball to Deulofeu who crosses the ball straight to Rafinha's head and BARCELONA SCORE! IT'S EQUAL HERE AT CAMP NOU! Rafinha 2-2

90(+2)' Rafinha

FT: Final time here at Camp Nou where Nedved's team, Juventus have done an amazing job away against Barcelona! Fantastic by both of the teams!

F.C. Barcelona 2-2 Juventus F.C. – Champions League Knockout Round First Leg 20.02.2013

I really need to comment on your stories more Pauker, the layout and writing is so honest and it also great.

Unlucky result versus Barca, but to get that result at the Camp Nou is still commendable, keep it up.

Press Conference After Barcelona Draw

After the Barcelona draw, the Juventus manager spoke to varied media outlets, including Goal, Marca and World Soccer..

When he was asked about how the match went, the manager said,"We played some great football during the first half and the early stages of the second half. You could see that Barcelona capitalized in a mistake (Bonucci's) like we did with Pique's, but if we can fix that, we can surely go on to the Quarter Finals." When Goal reporter, Greg Stobart, asked on fielding the Montegrin forward, Jovetic ahead of Cavani, Nedved answered,"Well, it's clear how things work here at Juve. If Jovetic is in better form than Cavani, he will be ahead of him. It was the same thing with Padoin and Pepe. Padoin was in a better shape and form than Pepe and that's why I chose him over Pepe when Kwadwo (Asamoah) needed to be off." After a series of questions, Marca reporter, Antonio Caballero, asked about the injury of Asamoah, Nedved answered by saying,"Following a series of tests and examinations, we have found out that Asamoah is okay, and that he will be out from 5-6 days, but I will make him wait another extra days so he gets into perfect shape." As the questions kept going, Nedved called a halt to the conference and went back to the hotel, where he would think of the endless posibilities of how the match could've ended.

Well, I just caught up on all your last updates....brilliant writing style it has to be said. Amorebieta looks a decent signing, not a big fan of him irl but he should be fine for cover. Pretty awesome results in the league, a few too many draws but still unbeaten. That Barcelona result really is guttering though, show the f*ckers in the 2nd leg for me!
Fufilling My Comment Every Update Promise

Nice update. I hate Barça, please murder them for me :)
