Group C should be a fun group of death! Your group looks easy, though, you should qualify with ease
August: Strong Start To The Season
Juventus F.C. 4 - 0 Catania
Saturday 20th August 2013 – Serie A TIM – Juventus Stadium, Turin – Att. 40,334
Juventus starting XI (3-1-4-2) Buffon, Martinez, Chiellini, Bonucci, Pirlo, Vidal, Marchisio, Asamoah, Lichsteiner, Cavani, Llorente
Fernando Llorente (17) Pablo Armero (51) Stephan Lichsteiner (55) and Edinson Cavani (74)
Subs Verratti, Isla and Armero
Fernando Llorente (8.3)
A pretty tricky fixture to open the season, and tonight was the match that would either help us forget the departure of Vucinic, or make the team realize that we needed him back. However, that was not the case. We dominated the Catania side, in which we scored in the first-half thanks to a header from Fernando Llorente, who scored his first goal at the Juventus Stadium. The first-half didn't bring much chances, but as we brought up Isla, Armero and summer signing Marco Verratti, the fresh legs rejuvenated the team. Soon, Armero would go on to the left wing and score on his official debut in the Juventus shirt, and get rid of the partial Juventus fans who thought he wasn't up to the challenge. However, before going off, Lichsteiner got a goal for himself. After the game settled down a bit, Cavani went on a 1v1 against Catania's goalkeeper, Andujar, and scored a fantastic chip goal. Up top in the table, we started the Serie A TIM in a fantastic way.
Player of the Month
The first month is where most of the players need to impress, and our solid centre-back, Leonardo Bonucci, has impressed once again. Very consistent last season, he is up in the pecking order than Giorgio Chiellini, Juventus's vice-captain. Whether the player will maintain a tight-knit defense throughout the season, will be only found out once the curtains come down.

Commentary from Fabio Carressa
1': Spartak Moscow get us underway here in the European Super Cup!
A boring looking half in Russia. Surely this will change?
44' Romulo has the ball, he fakes the pass to Kallstorm, but he is fouled by Vidal! It looked tough! What will the ref give? RED CARD FOR VIDAL!
44' Arturo Vidal
Half time here at Eden, where Juventus have one man off the pitch, thanks to Vidal's red card. Will Spartak Moscow take advantage of this?
45': Juventus start the second half.
53' Armero is going very active in the left wing. He crosses the ball, where Llorente nods the ball and it's a GOAL! GOAL FOR JUVENTUS! Fernando Llorente 1-0
53' Fernando Llorente
54' Spartak Moscow will restart the game.
60' Looks like Pavel Nedved will sub out Andrea Pirlo, who looks to have a knock.
60' Paul Pogba
75' Looks like Juventus defender Inigo Martinez has asked to be subbed out.. Pavel Nedved sends Greek defender Kyriakos Papadopoulos to warm up once again.
77' Kyriakos Papadopoulos
Four minutes added by the officials.
90(+1)' The ref ends the game! Juventus have done it! Juventus have done the quadruple, by winning the Serie A, Italian Super Cup Final, Coppa Italia and the European crown, the Champions League!
FT: Final time here at the Eden Stadium where the favourites, Juventus dominated Spartak Moscow the whole game. Even after Vidal's red card, Juventus striker, Llorente scored with a fantastic header. However, Pavel Nedved will be disappointed with the performances from Arturo Vidal and Edinson Cavani, who failed to make a mark in the game.
Spartak Moscow 0-1 Juventus F.C. – European Super Cup - 30.08.2013
@Neal: I was surprised, since the team actually played better (wake-up call) after Vidal was sent off.
