Aston Villa Make Club History!

http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/268/bpu7.jpg/

Today Aston Villa defeated League Leaders Manchester City 3-2 to make club history. There previous record was in the 1992-1993 season when they went 14 games unbeaten, this however is not the case now as they are now 15 games unbeaten. This was a match and a half too. Aston Villa raced into a two goal league after Andre Ayew missed a penalty but Will Hughes scored 3 minutes later. Gabby Agbonlahor then scored a second and Man City were dyer in the first half. A inspirational second half though saw Man City claw it back to 2-2. Eugene Konoplyanka was then sent on and crossed for Agbonlahor to score. Aston Villa manager Sir Alex said he wants to go undefeated all the way through to the end of the season now.
Great run of form, you've done very well and deserve to be breaking these records :)
@Rab - Thanks My team is feeling good at the moment and they are young and can only get better. Sniejder is on the way out too

@wellsy - Thanks I will try to keep it going

@Justice - What can I say I found the formation and i finally fitted round pegs into round holes. Elliott Bennett and Will Hughes are providing Dos Santos and Agbonlahor the goals and Mattheus is the unsung hero :)
What an excellent month! Seems you're finally getting in the groove there mate :D
Great work to set the new unbeaten record in club history. Keep this form up and a Europa League spot might be a possibility!
Congratulations on the club record Jason! Keep this form up and it will be a very successful season for you!

Fergie Fumes at refereeing Howler As The Month of April Comes To An Ebrupt End

http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/854/4sy4.jpg/

Aston Villa manager Alex Ferguson could not hide his emotions this month as Aston Villa were knocked out of the F.A Cup Semi Final at Wembley. Man City midfielder Samir Nasri scored a penalty that never was. James Tomkins a January signing from West Ham was alledged to have bought Edin Dzeko down on the edge of the box. The Ref Howard Webb firstly astonishingly gave the foul but even more surprising he gave it as a Penalty. Alex Furguson went mad and after Nasri had scored the half time whistle went and Fergie was already screaming at Mancini.

Fergie though went into the dressing room and told his Villa team to throw everything at Man City. The controversy didn't stop though with Webb ruling out a goal on the 64th minute for an alledged foul which not even Man City appealed for. Gabby Agbonlahor then hit the post in the 2nd minute of time added on. Villa went out and City went through.

The rest of the month Villa carried on undefeated and the last game in particular saw Villa take on Liverpool. Luis Suarez saw red in the 14th minute for a second bookable offence when he dived looking for a penalty but the Ref was not tricked and he got a second yellow card and was given his marching orders. The Liverpool players were in disbelief the rest of the teams wishes he would leave the premier league.

Aston Villa have it all to play for with the last three games but instead of fighting relegation, which they were last season they are now just 5 points off 6th spot and that could mean a Europa League spot next season. We will see what happens.

Saturday 5th April
Aston Villa 5-1 Fulham

Agbonlahor (17)
Agbonlahor (37)
Ayew (pen 33)
Bennett (78)
Agbonlahor

Attendance: 40,089
Aston Villa have continued there fine run of form by demolishing Fulham 5-1. Elliott Bennett and Gabby Agbonlahor continued there fine form with 3 of the 5 goals between them. Add James Tomkins and Andre Ayew's penalty and Fulham were soundly beaten.

Saturday 12th April
Live On BT Sport
Aston Villa 3-2 Manchester City
Hughes (9)
Agbonlahor (45+1)
Agbonlahor (69)
Venue: Villa Park
Attendance: 42,034
Aston Villa went in at half time 2-0 up. Roberto Mancini sent his team out early for the second half and Carlos Tevez scored twice to level things up but Gabby Agbonlahor who has seen all these forwards get signed in Tony Watt, Lisandro Lopez and Giovanni Dos Santos (who does play Attacking Midfield now) and has not been fazed to still be Villa's leading marksman this season popped up to bag a well deserved winner.

Wednesday 16th April
West Bromwich Albion 0-3 Aston Villa
Hughes (52)
Vlaar (65)
Olsson (o.g 85)
Venue: The Hawthorns
Attendance: 19,492
West Brom hardly filled there stadium here with the team languishing down in 20th and last place and on there way down they did not show much desire here today. This time last season Sir Alex was struggling with his Villa team but they showed desire and got themselves out of trouble West Brom played like a team already relegated.

Aston Villa might be out of the F.A Cup but they are still striding in the League as they took Liverpool apart in this Premier League encouter. Luis Suarez sent off and Lucas Leiva sent off too but Villa were already 2-0 up before Suarez got his marching orders. and Liverpool got one back through coutinho but Sir Alex Ferguson's team just gets stronger and stronger and stronger.

Premier League Table

Aston Villa are in a dog fight for a possible European place. They need to win there last three matches, which is possible with the run they have been on in the Premier League and hope Liverpool and Arsenal slip up only time will tell.

Awards

Player Of The Month

Ron Vlaar came Runner Up in the Player Of The Month. Vlaar has had a fantastic season at Villa and this is well deserved.

Young Player Of The Month

Can Anyone stop Will Hughes at the moment??? He finishes with the award again for the second month running and must think hes played his way into the voting for Young Player Of The Season. Mattheus also started to show his promise with 3rd place. Mattheus has forced a partnership with Andre Ayew that has cast doubt over Wesley Sneijders Villa career.

Manager Of The Month

Sir Alex has done it again another month undefeated in the Premiership and Villa are on the way to gatecrash the Europa League Party.
Damn refs :P
Unlucky in the cup mate, but the league form has been second to none!
Howard Webb always favors Manchester teams

Villa Finish The Season unbeaten since February!

Aston Villa Manager Sir Alex Ferguson has said that this season has been a success. It started slow for Villa, up until the new year it looked like a relegation Dogfight again but a couple of excellent signings in Elliott Bennett, Tom Ince and Eugene Konoplyanka and the outstanding form of William Hughes and Gabriel Agbonlahor meant Villa surged up the table and to the F.A Cup Semi Final.

'My team can be very, very proud of this season.' Said a delighted Sir Alex. We have the World Cup in Brazil upcoming now and a few of our guys are in the prelimary squads(more on England at the end of this report!)

This month was a poor month by our standards. Norwich seem to be my bogey team as Villa Manager and we got a draw there and Sunderland hit us late with there equaliser but in both cases the draw was the fair result.

England Prelimary Squad Announced

The England prelimary squad was announced today and there are SEVEN Villa players in it and 2 are uncapped. Leighton Baines and Gabby Agbonlahor should be in the final 23. Will Hughes and James Tomkins have been capped by Hodgson this season and also should be in the 23 but the other 3 have a chance. Tom Ince has been capped once since switching to Villa. Elliott Bennetts form has earnt him a call up to the 30 man squad along with Right Back Nathanial Clyne it will be interesting to see who gets the nod!

Saturday 3rd May

Agbonlahor (79)
Venue: Stadium Of Light

Aston Villa were lucky to get out of this match with a point and almost won it. Sunderland wasted chance after chance. Gabby Agbonlahor who was awesome this season took his one chance but Sessengnon scored at the death.

So Villa have a strong finish but it will only be worth it if they buy and sell well and move up even further next season.
Oooh so close to europe, a couple of key wins could have seen you there next season. Nice to finish in the top half though, well in mate.
Good luck for next season :) Definitely a season to build on here.
