Aston Villa Awards Dinner

(I have made 3 Awards up)

Aston Villa held there annual Awards Dinner this evening. Awards being won tonight were The Fans Player Of The Year, The Manager Player Of The Year, The Managers Young Player Of The Year and The Special Recognition Award for someone who goes above and beyond the call of duty for Aston Villa.
The first Award is the Fans Player Of The Year Presented by Chairman Randy Lerner.

The Nominees

Ron Vlaar

Ron has been the rock and Captain of Villa again this season. He is one of the first names on the teamsheet for Sir Alex and we always see why. He puts his body on the line for this team and he gets the recognition he deserves and is also trying to hold onto his title.

James Tomkins

James tomkins was a signing for last season. He came in expecting to have to fight for his place against the highly rated Kurt Zouma. But from day one he linked up with Captain Ron Vlaar from the start and now he is up against Ron for the Fans Player Of The Season. He also got his first England Cap and has gone on to make another 3 appearances for England

Gabby Agbonlahor

Gabby Agbonlahor has played most the season up from on his own. This has not stopped him from netting 14 goals this season which is good show by the English forward. He was dropped by Roy Hodgson but forced his way back into the England fold and is going to the World Cup. He is Mr. Aston Villa

Will Hughes

Will came into this season on the back of a summer move from Derby. He started life at Villa playing Central Midfield but Sir Alex wasn't getting the best out of him that is until he switched to Attacking Midfield and was made playmaker. These made him in a hot property and he has just signed a new deal and throughally deserves to be named on the shortlist.

And the Winner is......... Ron Vlaar! Ron please come up and say a few words.

'Wow I was not expecting this' said a shocked looking Vlaar. 'That shortlis was so strong. Gabby has been prolific this season and Will has showed he is utter qulity but I thought James had a storming season, however thanks for picking me and next season we will celebrate breaking the top 4 if this squad has anything to do with it!'

Ok I will now hand over to Manager Sir Alex Ferguson for the rest of the awards.

'Thanks Randy' said a happy Sir Alex. 'We have had a good season this season but we can do better because next season we will challenge for the top 4. I know this will be tough but we have the squad to do it! Hulk and Theo have now come in and are here tonight, I want them welcomed with open arms because this team is going places!

Ok my first awad is for the Young Player Of The Season. There were so many players that could have got this. Nathanial you have been amazing this season as have you Mattheus but for me there is only one winner and that is Will Hughes.

'Thanks Boss' says a shocked Hughes. 'What a season I have had I broke the England team although I am not going to the World Cup maybe Eliiott will get injured and open up a space for me! Thanks for this award and I look forward to helping this team get back where they belong and that is europe.'

The next award is my player of the season and again there could have been several players who deserve this award. Gabby you have been amazing this season, Giovanni you have had an amazing debut season but I am going to give this award to Elliott Bennett!

'Oh my fucking god' Laughed Bennett. 'Really!!!!???? I have this award, it has been a roller coaster ride for me over the last 2 or 3 years, I have gone from being dumped into the reserves at Norwich to moving here and getting capped by England and also going to Brazil, Will I am never getting injured for that sorry. thanks so much everyone'

My Special Achievement award goes to Scout Mel Melchin. He has been at Villa since the dark ages it seems but he always finds these players that will come to join Villa. Bennett, Hughes, Hulk and Marchetti just to name four but also he is one of the most likable people around.

Ferguson Rewarded

Aston Villa chairman Randy Lerner today rewarded Sir Alex for his impressive season with a new 2 year contract worth around £79,000 a week. Players and fans alike from Villa have praised Lerners decision with Captain Ron Vlaar tweeting 'So glad we have hung on to the legend for atleast 2 more years' and Agbonlahor posting on his site 'glad Fergie is staying.

Sir Alex was happy to put pen to paper. 'I have a challenge to win the Premier League with Aston Villa and I am not going anywhere until that is done and we have had a crack at the Champions League.'

Other News

In other bisnuess Aston villa have offered new contracts to Gabby Agbonlahor, Jordan Bowery, Gary Gardner and Jack Grealish. They all deserve them so have been offered them.

Villa Sign Fernando

Aston Villa manager Sir Alex Ferguson said if one more player became available then the board would back his judgement and they have done exactly that. Aston Villa have signed 22 year old Fernando from Gremio in Brazil for £29,500,000. He is a current Brazilian International. In making the signing Sir Alex said this was only able to happen because I had got rid of the deadwood for this season. He will compete with Mattheus, Ayew, Gardner, Ki and Bacuna for one of 2 starting spot but this squad is good because if anyone gets injured we will most definately have cover.

Who is Fernando

Fernando Lucas Martins (born March 3, 1992), more commonly known as Fernando, is a Brazilian footballer who plays as defensive midfielder for Gremio.

The Bookies have been mega impressed with Aston Villa's form at the end of the season and the 3 main players Villa have bought in, this has made them 6-1 for the title. William Hill spokesperson Emma Jacob has said ' Villa have signed Hulk, Walcott and Willian once added to what they already have and this is a exciting team for next season.' Manchester City who won the title last season are again favourites at Evens, Chelsea are 3-1, Managerless Manchester United who have just been taken over too are 5-1 then come Villa 6-1 with Spurs and Liverpool 12-1 and 16-1 respectively.
