I think it's really cool that you went into detail about a signing. I might have to steal that idea for next season when I've got some money :P. I think you should include a screenshot of his attributes and information so people know how good he is and how old though.

Fantastic work Jason!

New Goalie Arrives At Villa

Aston Villa Boss Sir Alex had to do something as Aston Villa have been leaking more goals than the Titanic leaked water. So he has in signing Federico Marchetti from Lazio for £22.5m equalling the club record that Aston Villa paid for Aiden McGeady. Marchetti pictured below,
http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/268/federicomarchetti10.jpg/

has said that the chance to play in the Premier League influenced his decision and explained that he wanted to help Frenchman Ahamada become a top class keeper, but he has to learn watching him play, this says that Marchetti is coming over to play as Number One, this remains to be seen but I can not see it any other way.

Who is Federico Marchetti

Federico Marchetti born 7 February 1983 in Bassano del Grappa, is an Italian footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Serie A club Lazio. He has also represented the Italian national team, most notably making three appearances after Gianluigi Buffon's injury at the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa.

Torino

A Torino youth system trainee, Marchetti made his professional debut on loan to Pro Vercelli, being then loaned to a number of other Serie C1 and Serie C2 teams in the following years: he spent the 2003–04 season as second choice keeper with Crotone and later Treviso, without making a single appearance with any of these teams. He started the 2004–05 season as third-choice keeper Torino, making a single appearance in his time with the granata as a substitute; he then asked to be transferred in January 2005, after Torino signed another keeper, Gianluca Berti, and he was subsequently loaned to Pro Vercelli for the remainder of the season.
AlbinoLeffe

In mid-2005, Torino which originally promoted to Serie A, went bankrupt and a new team started again in Serie B as successor, and all of the old Torino player were allowed to leave for free. He was signed by AlbinoLeffe and left for Biellese in co-ownership deal.

On June 2006, he was bought back by Serie B club AlbinoLeffe, initially as reserve to Paolo Acerbis. In his first season with the celeste, he made 13 appearances, being successively promoted as first choice keeper the following season.

During the 2007–08 season, his performances proved to be instrumental in AlbinoLeffe's historic first qualification to the promotion playoffs, where his club narrowly missed promotion to Lecce. He subsequently won the Serie B best goalkeeper award, thus raising significant interest from top flight teams.

Cagliari

In July 2008, Cagliari agreed a loan bid with AlbinoLeffe for the goalkeeper, with Cagliari having an option to buy 50% of players' rights to an agreed price.

In his first season in the Serie A, Marchetti confirmed his performances, firmly ensuring a place in the starting lineup, his performances being praised by several football pundits, being also defined by Gianluigi Buffon as his favourite Italian young goalkeeper. On 1 February 2010, Cagliari bought the remain rights from AlbinoLeffe.

However, he was frozen by the club in 2010–11 season, as his transfer request denied. He became the third keeper, behind Michael Agazzi and Ivan Pelizzoli. He was unfrozen on 3 April 2011, winning Genoa as unused bench.

Lazio

Following the departure of their Uruguay international Fernando Muslera at the end of the 2010–11 season, Marchetti joined Lazio. President Claudio Lotito activated Marchetti's €5.2 million release clause. Marchetti arrived in Rome on 5 July to undertake a medical and sign a five-year contract. He described his move to Lazio as "the end of a nightmare". Marchetti played a terrific season for Lazio and his presence and command over the defence together with his numerous saves helped Lazio achieve two consecutive Europa League qualifications placing Lazio on 5th and 4th spot respectively in 2010–11 and 2011–12 season campaigns.

Federico Marchetti has continued on with his form early in the 2012–13 season and is proving to be one of the protagonists in Lazio once again. Italian national squad selectors have once again focused their attention onto the former Italian International.

On May 26th 2013 he wins the Coppa Italia with Lazio in a historic derby against Roma, the first ever to assign a trophy, entering into the Pantheon of Lazio's players.
International career

In May 2009, following his impressive performances with Cagliari, Marchetti received his first call-up to Marcello Lippi's Italian national team for a friendly game versus Northern Ireland. He was featured in the game as a starter, and played the whole match, also keeping a clean sheet in a clear 3–0 win for the azzurri. Marchetti surprisingly made his World Cup debut in South Africa when he replaced the injured Gianluigi Buffon at half time during Italy's Group F clash with Paraguay. Marchetti kept a clean sheet, as Italy were already 1–0 down at the time of his introduction. In Marchetti's next two matches, he allowed in four goals out of five shots on goal.
Christ, you're not short on cash are you? :P Marchetti is such a good goalkeeper. He'll do wonders for the team. :)

Major Coup: Sneijder Signs For Villa!

Wesley Sneijder who fell out with Galatasaray has finally got his move away. Sneijder, 28 has moved to Aston Villa for £19,000,000 but could raise as high as £28,000,000.

Sneijder pictured above was able to move to Villa because N Zogbia moved to Lyon for £11.5m. This is a major coup for Villa who also added Lopez to the striking options too.
Sneijder has said he can't wait to work with Alex Ferguson and help move Villa up the table.

Who is Wesley Sneijder

Wesley Sneijder, born 9 June 1984) is a Dutch footballer who plays for Turkish Süper Lig club Galatasaray and the Dutch national team, of which he is captain. He was named UEFA midfielder of the season and one of the three best midfielders in the world for 2010 by FIFA. A product of the AFC Ajax Academy, he previously played for AFC Ajax, with whom he won seven trophies and was awarded the Johan Cruijff Award in 2004. He was sold to Real Madrid for €27 million in 2007, winning La Liga in his first season with the club and later being sold to Internazionale for €15 million. At Inter, he won Serie A, the UEFA Champions League, the Club World Cup, and the Coppa Italia twice. After being sold to Galatasaray for €7.5 million in 2013, he helped the club win the Süper Lig in his first season.

Sneijder previously represented various youth squads for the Netherlands. He is now a regular player for the Dutch national team, having made his debut in April 2003 at the age of 18, and having represented his country at the World Cup in 2006 and 2010 (reaching the finals) as well as UEFA Euro 2004 and 2008. Individually, he was awarded the 2010 Bronze Boot, the 2010 Silver Ball, and included in the team of the tournament for UEFA Euro 2008 and the 2010 FIFA World Cup, as well as named man of the match for six out of eleven games played by the Oranje at these two tournaments.

Wesley Sneijder was born on 9 June 1984 in Utrecht into a football family: his father was a player, his older brother Jeffrey played for Stormvogels Telstar, and his younger brother Rodney plays for RKC Waalwijk.

Ajax

Sneijder started his career in AFC Ajax's famous youth academy. Following his older brother's footsteps, he signed for Ajax, initially on trial but subsequently impressed enough to be signed on a permanent basis. He first made the bench as an unused substitute for Ajax in a 2–0 win at SBV Excelsior on 22 December 2002 when manager Ronald Koeman, troubled by an injury-filled squad, called him up, advised by Danny Blind, the then-coach of the Ajax youth squad. He then made his official Ajax debut against Willem II after the winter break on 2 February 2003 in a 6–0 win. He rapidly established himself in the role of midfield general and occasional left winger.

On 12 August 2007, Ajax agreed to sell Sneijder to Real Madrid for €27 million, according to the club's website, making him the second most expensive Dutch football player.

Real Madrid

Sneijder was the second of three Dutchmen to sign for Real Madrid 2007–08 season, joining Royston Drenthe and Arjen Robben. He also was given the number 23, which had been previously worn by David Beckham for four seasons at Real. In his first La Liga match for Real, he scored the winner in the Madrid Derby against Atlético Madrid. On the second matchday, he scored two goals against Villarreal CF, one of them on a direct free-kick. Sneijder capped a fine first season in Spain by hitting a stunning free kick in the last game of the season against Levante UD at the Santiago Bernabéu, taking his goal tally to nine in the La Liga season, a season which also saw Real retain their league title.
On 3 August 2008, Sneijder was stretchered off in the pre-season friendly at Arsenal with a suspected cruciate ligament injury after a collision with Abou Diaby. Sneijder had an MRI which confirmed the extent of the injury to be not as bad as first feared. It was expected that he would be out for at least three months. He managed, however, to recover in time and was included in the starting XI for the Champions League clash against Juventus in Turin.

On 2 September 2008, AS reported that after Robinho's departure to Manchester City for €42 million, Sneijder would now be Real Madrid's new number 10. One day later, Real Madrid confirmed on their web site Sneijder's new number — 10. His previous number, 23, was taken over by his fellow Dutchman Rafael van der Vaart, whose preferred number is 23.

Internazionale

2009–10
On 27 August 2009, Sneijder was bought by Internazionale from Real Madrid for a reported fee of €15 million. He was given the number 10 shirt and made his debut a day after he signed the contract. He made an immediate impact by being on the winning side in the Milan Derby (4–0) against Milan. On 3 October 2009, he scored his first, decisive goal in the 92nd minute against Udinese in a 2–1 win. His second goal was scored on 24 October 2009 against Catania, directly from free kick, and he scored his first UEFA Champions League goal for Inter in a dramatic 2–1 win against Dynamo Kyiv in the 89th minute. His next goal was also scored off a hard-swerving free kick in a Coppa Italia game against Livorno.

On 9 January 2010, he scored two stunning free kicks against Siena in the game which Inter won 4–3. On 24 January, he received a straight red card in the Milan derby. On 6 April, Sneijder scored a free kick against CSKA Moscow in the UEFA Champions League quarter-final in the sixth minute, making it 2–0 on aggregate to Inter. On 20 April, he scored Inter's equalising goal during their UEFA Champions League semi-final first leg against defending champions FC Barcelona. He leveled the game by firing in right-footed from a Diego Milito pass. Inter went on to win the game 3–1. Sneijder was given the nickname "The Sniper" by the media for his ability to deliver perfect passes and score from impressive distances.

On 22 May, Inter won the Champions League Final against Bayern Munich by a score of 2–0. Both goals were scored by Diego Milito, with Sneijder supplying the assist for the first goal.
2010–11

On 21 August 2010, Inter started the 2010–11 season by winning the 2010 Italian Super Cup with a 3–1 win against Roma. On 26 August, Sneijder was named by UEFA as the best club midfielder of the Champions League 2009–10 season. The day after, in Monaco, Inter lost to UEFA Europa League winners Atlético Madrid in the 2010 UEFA Super Cup. He scored his first goal of the season in a 2–2 draw against FC Twente in the Champions League on 14 September, and followed that up with another goal in Inter's second game against Werder Bremen in a 4–0 win at the San Siro on 29 September. On 26 October, Sneijder was shortlisted for the 2010 FIFA Ballon d'Or award, which Barcelona's Lionel Messi won. On 28 October, Sneijder signed a five-year contract extension with Inter, tying him to the club until 2015. Inter finished second in Group A of the Champions League and were drawn against Bayern Munich (whom they had beaten in the previous season's final) in the Round of 16. In the first leg, Sneijder and Inter were uninspired and lost 1–0 to a late Mario Gómez goal at the San Siro. On 15 March 2011, Sneijder helped Inter turn it around scoring in the 63rd minute leading to a 3–2 win (3–3 on aggregate, Inter progressing on away goals) at the Allianz Arena, booking a place in the quarter-final against Germany's Schalke 04. The first leg of that quarter-final ended 5–2 to Schalke. Sneijder also played in the second leg of the tie but could not prevent his team from losing 2–1 and 7–3 on aggregate.

Galatasaray

After reportedly falling out of favour with Inter due to contract renewal issues, on 20 January 2013, Sneijder agreed a three-and-a-half-year deal with Turkish club Galatasaray for a fee of €7.5 million worth a minimum of €4.5 million per season. Thousands of Galatasaray fans welcomed the Dutch international at the Istanbul Atatürk Airport as soon as Sneijder's exact arrival time was announced by the club on their official website. Sneijder signed the official contract on 21 January at the Türk Telekom Arena, home of Galatasaray. During the press conference, regarding the questions about Gala legend Gheorghe Hagi, Sneijder said, "He was a legend, and I want to become a legend." Later, he appeared on the club's official TV station Galatasaray TV, where he answered several questions about his transfer to Galatasaray and personal life. He also sent out a message addressing the Galatasaray fans: "Thank you for the support. I'm really proud, and I will make you guys even more proud. I'm happy to be here, and I can't wait to play my first game for you guys."

On 27 January, Sneijder made his debut, coming on as a substitute in a 2–1 win against rivals Be?ikta?. Sneijder received a warm reception when he replaced Emre Çolak. He scored his first goal on 25 February in a 4–2 home win against Orduspor, where he produced a finesse shot from the edge of the box, turning the game back on for the home side as Galatasaray were down by two goals. Sneijder scored his second goal in the league against Kayserispor at the Kadir Has Stadium on 17 March.
What a signing!
Wow, Brilliant signing :O Keep it up!

Woeful Villa Keep Dissapointing

Today Sir Alex Furguson has blamed his staff for failing the Aston Villa players. The squad which would probably be up in the top 6 for personnal but they just need to gel. Sir Alex is going to be looking into new members for the backroom team.

The month has been dismal played 3 lost 3, lost 4-1 to Man Utd and it wasnt a happy homecoming for Sir Alex. The 2-1 defeat to wigan was dreadful because wigan had 2 shots on goal to Aston Villa's 36. and they were outplayed by sunderland.

They lie in 17th place in the table.

This update is terrible but it has been that long since one that i will do the normal style later on for next month.

Nem Signs A Contract Extension

Wellington Nem, who signed for Villa at the start of the season today signed a 3 year extension to his deal.

http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/703/wellingtonnem2028429.jpg/

Nem, 21 signed from Fluminese in Brazil said its his love for manager and fans that convinced him this is the place to stay. Nem who has now learnt english said at a press conference 'if you look at all the players the gaffer has bought in, this is a club that will survive this season and go places next season. Nem who picked up the man of the match award against Southampton is looking forward to many more years at Villa.

Villa's Woeful Form Continues As Villa Slide Down The Table

Aston Villa have yet again performed way below standard this month and find themselves now in the relegated zone. Although they only lost twice this month they failed to pick up a win. Sir Alex Ferguson has said if Villa go down the players will go down with them as none of them have a release clause in there contracts.

It is obvious that Villa should not be there this season but they have performed awfully. Players like Wesley Sneijder have not performed since coming in and they are going to have to for the end of the season.

League Table

As you can see Aston Villa are really are struggling. Van Persie is the top scorer and Lambert is a distant second.

It is going to be a big last 3 games for Aston Villa
I've never ever seen Van Persie score that many goals, ever on an FM game :O
Good luck for your remaining games, It's definitely not quality that you're lacking! :)
