http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/28/alexferguson1396427c.jpg/

Sir Alex Ferguson has not endured the best of season's with Aston Villa, but Randy Lerner proved today he is still willing to back his manager by offering Fergie a 2 year contract extension worth in the reason of £54,000 a week. Fergie who at the moment has his sights set on survival felt it was the right to sign. 'We need the last 3 games to be like cup finals, if we survive this season next season will be a big one in the Premier League.'

Randy Lerner was ecstatic that Sir Alex has agreed to stay on, 'I am thrilled that Sir Alex has Stayed on with us for another 2 years, and regardless of what division we will be in he is on a mission here.

Ron Vlaar, the club captain has also expressed his delight that Villa will stick by there manager and hopes this will also serve as a morale boost to get Villa to safety.
Glad to see you getting a new contract :)

Hello and welcome to a very special edition of Soccer Saturday. Today we are going to be focussing on the Relegation battle. Two of Swansea, Wigan and Aston Villa will go down. Villa play Stoke, Wigan play Chelsea and Swansea play West Brom. At the Man City play Sunderland and Tottenham play Norwich to see who will be champions.

Lets first go to Paul who is watching Aston Villa vs Stoke. Is there team news yet Paul.

[color=#3465A4]Jordan Bowery partners Christian Benteke up front too. Stoke team is yet to be released and these are the only two we know about Villa too.

Phil can you see Wigan getting anything out of Chelsea?
No Way Jeff Chelsea are in good form at the end of the season. If they do I will Eat my hat.

Matt you have Swansea and West Brom, can Swansea get the win needed here?

I think they can Jeff they know a draw is definately not enough because Villa have not let that many in they have just struggled to score.

Ok all the action after this break.

Welcome back and the games are just kicking off for this important day in the season for the teams involved in the top end of the table and the bottom end of the table.
Villa name Ayew in the team as his suspension doesnt start yet. Aiden McGeady comes in, and Stoke name a very very defensive team. 4 at the back 2 defensive midfielders Walters and Crouch up front.

So the matches have started!
10th min: Penalty!!!! There is a penalty in the Chelsea match but who has it gone to Phil Thompson?

It is to chelsea and it is as cast iron penalty as you would get. Oscar ran with the ball in the box and was took down by Schaner who also got a yellow card. It is Hazard to step up....GOALLLLLLL He fires it straight down the middle and Wigan are definatly going down at the moment.

21st min: GOALLLLL Over to Phil again whos got it this time?
http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/90/wiganathleticfans594x32.jpg/

It has gone to Wigan and Schaner was provider this time as his cross shot bizarely hit Craig Gardner to equilize and its game on again.

[color=#EF2929]25th min: Paul have Villa shown any chance of a win here?

No absolutely not Crouch just hit the post with a bullet header and Vlaar and Jagielka are playing there socks off.

30th min: Matt you have a sending off in your game
Yes double footed challenge by Brunt on Michu was horrible and could have ended his career but fortunatly Michu saw it coming.
So at the moment doesn't matter if Villa lose there superier goal difference will keep them up.

43rd min: Goal over here Jeff!
Crouch has finally got his goal he deserved and Villa are all over the place, Walters whipped a ball in and Crouch out jumped 2 players to head in. 1-0 Stoke but Villa still going to survive

Half Time and Villa still surviving but this is The Premier LEague and you never know

51st min: Penalty again in the Chelsea game Phil?
Yes its to Chelsea again and Schaner lucky to still be on the field he bought down the impressive Ba this time but the Ref was lenient. Hazard to take again.............GOAL top right corner and thats how you convert a Pen!

62nd min: Over to Paul here for a injury
Yes and Jordan Bowery has gone off after a challenge with Shawcross. It looked worse than it was though but hes replaced by Lopez.

71st min: PENALTY again!
Scharner has finally been sent off after a synical lunch on Hazard, who steps up confidently and scores!!!! Hat trick of Pens for the midfielder and that must surely be Wigan Down.

72nd min: OOOOOOOOO over to Matt
Michu misses a Penalty! He put it wide after he was fouled in the box Swansea know Villa are losing but that might have been there best chance!

73rd min: GOALLLLLLLLLLL for Chelsea
Oscar scores as Hazard becomes architect and drills a low cross which Oscar totally unmarked sends Wigan Down

92nd Min: GOALLLLLLLL over to Paul is it Villa Paul?
No Stoke lead now 2-0 but Villa have survived because its all over at Swansea!!!

Villa are still in the Premier League Sir Alex will have a Press conference tomorrow
Swansea will rue the missed Penalty but for Villa beating Newcastle 3-0 was the decider!
Congrats! Lucky with the missed peno though! :D

Ferguson Signs Baines!!!

http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/694/bainesgetty2329655b.jpg/

Aston Villa have pulled off what can only be described as a Coup, Leighton Baines has signed for them for £15.75m on a 4 year deal worth £74k a week. Baines who was transfer listed at Goodison Park has said he cant wait to join up with the squad and look to help improve the position of 17th last season. Baines will become the regular Left back with Aaron Cressell and £15m flop Felipe being moved on. Luke Shaw who will be the long term successor for Baines will continue to push for the first team.

Ferguson who has been promised around £45m to spend on players has said he only wants 3 or 4 players to come in and is looking to keep it mainly British because there is a lot of youngsters coming through at Villa but they need a Striker and a right back in Fergies view.

'I have targets in mind said Sir Alex and they are ambitious targets but look we signed Wesley Sneijder last season so expect a top class right back to come in too as Matty Lowton and Carlo (Jenkinson) need a experianced player to learn off.

Villa Fans are still hopeful of Sir Alex wielding his magic as Carl Frump of the official Fanzine states in his column. 'With the signing of Baines and Fergie promised funds I expect a marked improvement next season.'

Fergie has also said that 90% of his Backroom staff are going and he will put his own stamp on things.
Great signing. Amazes me that all these players want to join such a lowly placed club :P

Congrats on staying up. Baines a signal of change this season maybe?
I am taking advantage of them not wanting to stay at there clubs
Good signing in Baines, really good. I'm surprised Villa is capable of signing such high profile players, but I understand that they were really desperate to leave :P

Three More In At Villa

Today Sir Alex Ferguson added yet more talent to his squad, with the summer clear out in oporation too, Felipe the £15m flop had left for Juventus for £11.5m. Aaron Cresswell has also left the club on loan for a season. But in comes Swansea Winger Nathan Dyer and Mexican Giovanni Dos Santos to join Leighton Baines. Also joining though is another Southampton man Nathanial Clyne.
http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/196/nathanielclyne2812830.jpg/
Clyne joins this young and exciting Villa team for £10.25m, which although seems a lot Sir Alex is not concerned. 'He is a immense talent and will eventually be a integral part of this team. Him and Luke Shaw are the future of Aston Villa.

http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/507/54764553nathanget.jpg/
Next in is Nathan Dyer from Swansea for £13m. Dyer has impressed a lot of clubs over the last 2 or 3 season's and sees Villa moving up a lot next season. 'Villa are a big club' said Dyer. 'And although I dont expect to play straight away, with Maloney, Nem and Grealish coming back I will be pushing them all the way for a starting spot. With Swansea going down, I also had to make sure that I was playing Premier League football next season.'

The last signing is former Tottenham play Geovanni Dos Santos, in what seem like a interesting move, Sir Alex has again swooped for a player who was relegated with his team, Real Mallorca. He has signed a 5 year deal for £9.25m and Sir Alex said this of him. 'Mallorca went down last season and he scored 17 goals that is a incredible return and he will do very well at this club and it is now the right time to bring him back to England.'

http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/547/234551.png/
So Aston Villa say there will be NO more deals bringing players in but there will still be some departures, Aiden McGeady, voted the worse signing of the season is leaving, Felipe who got third has already left and rumours that Agbonlahor will be shown the door too, which this space.
2013-06-12 08:32#111501 Akash : Good signing in Baines, really good. I'm surprised Villa is capable of signing such high profile players, but I understand that they were really desperate to leave :P

I literally acted so quick no other team got a look in lol
2013-06-11 20:19#111395 KingPadster : Congrats on staying up. Baines a signal of change this season maybe?

Just part of Fergies long term plan :) aiming for top half rather than a relegation battle

Vlaar Scoops Villa Player Of The Year

http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/29/ronvlaarcelebftreadingv.jpg/

The Aston Villa fans voted Ron Vlaar as the Villa player of the season. He was up against Gary Gardner, Andre Ayew, Christian Benteke and Shaun Maloney. However it was a none contest as the Aston Villa Captain got 78% of the vote to beat Maloney with 9% of the vote for second.

At accepting the award he paid tribute to Boss Sir Alex Ferguson and said that fans should watch this space for next season because Villa are aiming for the top 6!
Great updates mate, Next season will be much better for the villains!
