He looks like he will be quality!
Tomasi looks like he'll be top quality, but you've got a ways to go to beat my 12.5m euro signing of a 17 year old xP
Good god he looks amazing, hope he lives up to his potential! :D

Tomkins Signs On For The Villa!

http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/834/61327281jamestomkinsemp.jpg/

Aston Villa manager Sir Alex Ferguson has said that he just couldn't resist delving into the transfer market just one more time. James Tomkins who was relegated with West Ham last season is joining Villa on a 5 year deal worth £49,000 a week. Tomkins is very happy to be joining an Aston Villa team which he says is 'Very exciting'.

Tomkins joins Leighton Baines, Nathanial Clyne and Nathan Dyer in joining the Villans. Tomkins will compete for his place in the team with Vlaar the captain so you would expect Vlaar to be a automatic starter for Villa so it will be one of Jagielka, Tasci or Tomkins for the last place in the team.

Sir Alex has gone on record and said he can not wait to play this season and is looking now for a Europa League place. but then also stormed out of the Press conference when The Sun and The Mirror Newspapers said don't you think 12m is a lot of money to spend on a defender who got relegated. Fergie responded by saying that he was player of the year for West Ham and that you should judge him on his performances not his team. He then told The Sun to Fuck Off. That is yet another enemy Fergie has gone and made.

Villa Start Better Than Last Season

Sir Alex had a lot to smile about this month. Despite losing to Cardiff first match there was a lot to smile about as the new signings started to gel. The second match saw Villa show they can fight against Burnley. The the Capital One Cup. Now last season the cup runs were over before they started, but not this time although they were scared by there opponents.
In other news Jordan Bowery, who played a fair bit last season has gone to Leeds for 1 season and been told, perform well there and you will be a regular next season for Villa.

McGeady Finally Leaves

In what was voted the worse signing of last season Aiden McGeady has gone on his merry way to Stoke City, however Aston Villa will still pay him £9,000 a week for the next four years! Manager Sir Alex has stated that the morale in the dressing room is a lot healthier now.

Some good updates mate hopefully Villa have a better season!

Welcome to Transfer deadline day. There are expected deals at Villa Park.

10am: Aston Villa have had 2 bids accepted for Mattheus and Will Hughes. Mattheus is thought to have been £9.5m and Hughes is thought to be £12.25m. Rumours are that there will be 3 or 4 more youngsters moving to Villa Park.

11.15am

Hughes and Mattheus Join Villa

http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/801/cnhx.jpg/
Mattheus has join Aston Villa on a 4 year contract for £9,500,000 from Flamengo in Brazil. Mattheus who had been watched 11 times last year in the Brazzilian League by Mel Melchin highly recommended the youngster and is convinced he can challenge for a first team place very, very quickly.

Joining him is Will Hughes for £12,250,000 from Derby. The highly rated youngster said that Villa's drive and determination to win sealed his move to the Birmingham based club. 'I am very excited with what will happen in the next 3 or 4 years' said Hughes who is looking forward to working with Sir Alex Ferguson. The Under 21 international midfielder will have a big chance of going straight into the team but acknowledges competing with Sneijder, Ayew and Craif Gardner will be tough.

1pm: Aston Villa have a £4,600,000 offer rejected by Spartak Moscow for there highly rated youngster Jano. Aston Villa have submitted a new offer of 5,250,000 for Jano pictured below.

1.45pm: Aston Villa have a offer of £475,000 accepted for Kenedy the Brizilian playmaker, 16.
Leeds United accept a offer of £7,000,000 for Sam Byron. Byron who plays at right back is a young upcoming star. He is yet to accept a contract however.

3pm:

Byron deal falls through!

Sam Byron's move to Aston Villa is dead as he asked for too much money according to the AVFC official website. They blamed the Agent involved and said he was ridiculous and has spoiled a big move for his player.

5.30pm: Villa drop out of trying to buy Jano. Spartak Moscow wanted £27,000,000 and Aston Villa were definately not willing to pay that much for the player.

8.30pm: Aston Villa launch £10,000,000 bid for Kurt Zouma from AS st. Ettienne. It is thought that Zouma would go straight out on loan if the bid is successful.

9pm: Kenedy Signs for Villa for £475,000 but it will not be finalised until the end of the season.

10pm: Kurt Zouma signs for Villa for £14m but with Add Ons and incentives it could be upto £26,000,000, Zouma is immediately offered out for loan.

16 Year Old Arturo Tomasi joins Genoa on loan until the end of the season and Eric Lichaj joins Wigan on loan until the end of the season.

10.15pm: 19 year old Lewis Kinsella moves to Cambridge on loan until the end of the season.
So Aston Villa had a mega busy transfer deadline day with players bought in but also players departing. The 3 big signings for Aston Villa are Will Hughes, Mattheus and Kurt Zouma, no team wanted him on loan either so he will be fighting for his place.

This is the team that will try and keep Villa up the upper reaches of the Premiership Table
