Transfers and Other News

- Youth striker Lyle Hawkes signed a professional contract with FC Halifax, 110 pounds a week until the end of the 2016-2017 season.
- English left back Paul Hecker, formerly of West Brom, has signed to Halifax for 75 pounds a week until the end of the 2016-2017 season. The plan is to put him in reserves and train him hard and he should be ready for prime time during the 2016-2017 season.
- Defender Tom Beadling sold to Stafford for free. He was unsettled at the club and it puts him out of BSN.
- Right midfielder Chris Sutherland loaned to Halifax from Grimsby for 3 months; Halifax has 0% wage obligation.

Injuries

December 21: In his very first reserve match, Paul Hecker suffers cracked ribs and will miss 2 months.
December 23: Jonathan Wafula tore his hamstring against Nuneaton and will miss 3 to 4 months.
December 29: Lyle Hawkes suffered a back strain and will be out 5-6 weeks.

Standings

Only one point out of the playoffs, which is amazing considering our slip ups this month. Still, those bastards in Boston think they're going to make the playoffs, they got another thing coming!
Under eb's guidance Paul Hecker will become a world class fullback.
Tough result against Nuneaton, but otherwise strong in the league. Decent singing too, just have to win your game in hand and you'll earn yourself a play-off spot! :D

I like the way you're presenting the results, it's not really like what I've seen before on stories.

If you continue getting good results, I can see you in the playoff spots by the end of the season.

The Dream is Over

FC Halifax battled as long as they could in the FA Carlsberg Trophy tournament, even forcing a replay against Blue Square Premier side Stockport, but Stockport's home advantage was too much to overcome as Stockport defeated FC Halifax 2-0 in what can be described as a lucky effort for them, since their goals came with only 2 shots on goal. Halifax had the run of play, but Stockport had the better of the chances. Halifax manager Shylo Elliott was interviewed after the game and said "One of my dreams was for us to play a game at Wembley Stadium in the final, and I really thought we could get there, but it's been taken from us. Still, I'm happy to see that my team battled well throughout the tournament, and our experience with bigger sides should help us in our own league."
Disappointing, but you can take heart from your strong performances. Keep fighting, and one day you'll play at Wembley :)

yuttra, I've borrowed some of the elements of my presentation from other users. I'm not too great at writing stories, although I am including more of a story element with my mini-updates, and I think showing off match statistics and team sheets gives a lot of insight.

Jon Nolan to Halifax

Amidst Halifax's midfielder woes, they have taken in Chester center midfielder Jon Nolan on loan until the end of the 2015 season. FC Halifax beat out Solihull Moors and Hereford to capture the player. Nolan was formerly of Stockport and Premier side Everton.

January 1: Center back Tom Anderson, assistant manager Danny Spiller, chief scout Robbie Kember, and head physio Terry Baker all signed new contracts that will keep them on through the 2016 season.
Janusry 2: Coaches Craig Farley and Callum Khan, midfielder Adriano Moke, and scout Gareth McClelland all signed new contracts with Halifax that will keep them until the end of the 2016 season.
January 20: English right midfielder Steffan Rimmel has been signed until the end of the 2016 season for 95 pounds a week.

Injuries

January 17: Steven Leslie suffered a twisted knee and will be out 4 weeks.
January 30: Albert Rusnak suffered a damaged elbow and will be out 3 weeks.

Standings

An automatic promotion is realistically too far off in the distance, but the playoff race is still very close. I need to find a way to keep grabbing the wins. Boston United is still in the playoff race and it could come down to a playoff match against them or fighting for a playoff spot against them.
Disappointing results but still going strong! The play-offs are not lost yet! :)

Good Luck in your battle with Boston

Standings

We're finally back in the playoff picture! We still have several fixtures left, and it is important to win, if not all of them, as many as we are capable of. We're still behind Boston, but I'll fix that soon enough!
