December 2014 Update

Matches

FC Halifax 5 @ Gloucester 0

FC Halifax 4 @ Workington 5

Brackley 3 @ FC Halifax 1

Harrogate 1 @ FC Halifax 5

FC Halifax 2 @ Solihull Moors 1

Transfers

- Midfielder Malcolm Melvin requests a transfer. Since I haven't been using him much I'll oblige, but I doubt I'll find any takers.
- Adriano Moke and Danny Gardner signed new contracts with Halifax. Gardner will be on 30,500 per year and Moke will be on 35,000 per year, each for two more years.
- Coach Craig Farley signed a new contract to stay with Halifax, 9,000 pounds a year for 2 more years.

Injuries and Other News

- Right midfielder Danny Gardner suffered broken ribs during the match against Solihull Moors and will be out 4-5 weeks.

Standings

We've only moved up two places, but we're only 6 points out of the playoff discussion. We were really goal-friendly this month but also absolutely deadly in front of the other team's goal. 3-0-2 this month isn't bad at all, even though it should have been 4-0-1.
We have important fixtures next month, we play Boston United and Nuneaton again, and it will be very important to do well in both of those, and I really want to avenge the 7-0 beating Nuneaton laid on us.
Great update Eb! The playoffs is certainly within your grasp :)
By the way what is the name of the skin you use?

I use Steklo X3 skin; edited so that the scoreboard and clock are Digital-7 font (Google it). The clock is 255 red, 0 green, and 0 blue.

January 2015 Update

- Defender Liam Wakefield signed a new contract with Halifax, he will be on for 2 more years at 25,500 pounds a year.
- Scout Gareth McClellan signed a new contract with Halifax, he will be on for 2 more years at 9,000 pounds a year.
- Lee Gregory was paid 5,000 pounds for scoring 15 goals in the Blue Square North, as agreed to in his contract, after the game against Histon.

- Striker Luke Booker twisted his ankle during a match against Hartlepool Reserves on January 28 and will be out 6-7 weeks.

Standings

It was a long month, but with four big wins, two draws, including one with Nuneaton, and only one loss, we are on the outside looking in, and the door is creaked open! Billy Bricknell's return to play has really helped us out a lot.
Going strong, now time for a play-off push! Can't believe Boston are that far down either! :O
2013-06-03 23:21#108604 Okikos : Love the way you've journeyed from club to club in search of something worth committing to. :) Under what circumstances, do you think, you'd find yourself in a lengthier relationship with a club you're managing?

Also, slow and steady start! The season is still very much beginning though, and you can definitely enjoy some success in future. Keep up the good work! And of course, 'Good Luck'!

I was looking through the thread and I saw this post that I overlooked. Thank you, Okikos. Truth is, you say that like Boston didn't force me out. I really wanted to stay with them. If Kettering Town weren't being relegated to an unplayable league, I would have stuck around if they would have me, too. Thankfully FC Halifax took a chance on me, because I really feel at home there. I want to stay at Halifax for as long as possible.

February 2015 Update

Matches

Vauxhall 2 @ FC Halifax 1

FC United 1 @ FC Halifax 2

FC Halifax 4 @ Ashton United 1

Transfers, Resignings, Etc.

- Hull have loaned English striker Jack Barlow to FC Halifax for 3 months on 0% wages; there is also a free future transfer clause.

Injuries

- None

Standings

Dropped a rank, but not that much further back in terms of promotion. Only three points out of it, but we're running out of fixtures and we can't keep making missteps.
You drew Nuneaton! Big step up from 7-0 haha. Close to the playoff spots mate, you can do it!!

March 2015 Update

Matches

FC Halifax 4 @ Cambridge City 1

Barrow 2 @ FC Halifax 0

Gloucester 3 @ FC Halifax 1

Transfers, Resignings, Etc.

- Conor Qualter given his release from FC Halifax. He was unhappy about not being played and he wasn't in my plans.
- Accrington midfielder Scott Donnelly was loaned to FC Halifax until the end of the season for 0% wages; he is obviously cover for the Danny Gardener injury.
- Youth candidiate Lyle Hawkes and Philip Furniss have signed a youth contract with FC Halifax.

Injuries

- Right midfielder Danny Gardner had to leave the field against Cambridge City. He suffered strained knee ligaments and will miss 2 months, effectively ending his season.
- Striker Lyle Hawkes pulled a hamstring during the Youth Graduates match and will be out 4-5 weeks.

Standings

Despite only 3 matches, this month put a huge dent in our playoff chances. It's not impossible now, but we'll have to be perfect, and as confident as I am in my team, I don't think they have it in them.
Haven't really read this story too much but have just had a quick read through and it is very good. I love the idea as it is interesting to see someone try their hand at a few different clubs. Keep it up.

One final big push and you could make it. Not a million miles away from it. Good luck.

April-May 2015 Update

Matches

FC Halifax 1 @ AFC Telford 3

FC Halifax 2 @ Worcester 1

Stalybridge 0 @ FC Halifax 2

FC Halifax 0 @ Hyde 0

FC Halifax 0 @ Brackley 0

Workington 1 @ FC Halifax 3

Transfers, Resignings, Etc.

- Jack Barlow's loan terminated by request since he wasn't getting any playing time.
- Bradley Wood and Lee Gregory sign new deals with Halifax that will allow them to stay on until the end of 2016.
- Defender Joe Clarke was given release from FC Halifax, he wanted first team play and I could not give it to him. He was on a non-contract basis.
- On the eve of the final match of the season, the FC Halifax board sent a contract offer to manager Shylo Elliott for 1 year and 36,000 pounds. Elliott quickly agreed to terms and is very happy to be returning to Halifax for another season.

Injuries

- Bradley Wood twisted his ankle against AFC Telford and will be out 6-7 weeks, effectively ending his season.

Standings

Seventh place, not where we wanted to be at the end of the season since we had promotion aims, but we did a lot of good things this season and was within a couple of games of being in the playoffs. If we had some of those results back that we had thrown away, we would definitely be a favorite. A lot of the club is coming back next season, so we'll have a strong chance of getting promoted next season.
