Marvmeister: Thanks for being so devoted to the story! I feel the same way, reading others' stories. MLS was easy to succeed in, but the Premier League is definitely not. Venus has been at Norwich for years, I seem to read about him more because of his unusual surname.

November 2019

Everton 2 - 1 Newcastle
It looked to be a horror show for Everton fans as after Luke Hyam was sent off for a two-footed tackle, Everton still struggled to score, and worse, Lee Wallace got Newcastle on the scoreboard first, two-footed tackling the ball into the goal on a cross! Everton surged back in the late stages of the match, supersub Pituca adding an instant reply and Armand Mbock cutting in from the right to score the winner.
Player of the Match: Dentinho (Everton)

- Vladan Berisavac was banned for 2 more English domestic matches due to his violent conduct.

Europa League Group Stage
Everton 4 - 0 Rangers
In the first minute, Manolo Gabbiadini dispossessed a Rangers defender in his own box and scored the easy goal, and Everton never looked back. Gabbiadini led the way with two goals, with Reddy and Lucaselli also adding to the score sheet.
Player of the Match: Manolo Gabbiadini (Everton)

- Southampton has sacked manager Alan Shearer. Real Sociedad's former manager Laurent Blanc is the bookies' favorite to become his replacement.

- Phil Jagielka has become manager of League Two side Barnet.

Derby 2 - 3 Everton
We made it so hard for ourselves, as Derby went up to a 2-0 halftime lead. They came out a different team in the second half though, Adilson Jose and Ademir scored goals to tie it up, and Serge Ribas came through with a penalty to win it.
Player of the Match: Pal Sortevik (Everton)
Injury Update: Armand Mbock suffered a groin strain and will miss 2-3 weeks.

- Eddie Howe has left Newcastle to become the new manager of Southampton.

- Pituca suffered a back strain while lifting weights and will miss 3-4 weeks.

- Elvis Scoria leaves Anfield to take over Pep Guardiola's old position at Sporting CP.

- Mark Hughes has left West Brom to take over the managerial post at Newcastle.

Everton 0 - 0 Norwich
No excuse for not winning this one, our finishing just sucked.
Player of the Match: Alfred N'Diaye (Norwich)

West Brom 1 - 0 Everton
Pal Sortevik's own goal undoes a terrific performance by Everton's defense.
Player of the Match: Paride Lucaselli (Everton)

- Laurent Blanc has become the new manager of Liverpool.

Everton 3 - 1 Arsenal
Arsenal fans might feel hard done by the refs, as they conceded two penalties and Jose Enrique was sent off for violent conduct. Gabbiadini scored a hat trick, two of them by penalty. Neymar scored, but it was too little, too late.
Player of the Match: Manolo Gabbiadini (Everton)
Injury Update; Thankfully, none of the injuries that forced players off the pitch were serious, although it was annoying that injuries induced all three substitutions.

- Portland's MLS Cup drought has grown to 3 years as they lost in the final 2-0 to New York.

Premier League Table

If we're waiting for Man City to slip up, we're going to be waiting a while, but with our form we should solidify a Champions League spot over the coming months if our form keeps up.
Young Player of the Month: Vicente Molinos (winner), Pal Sortevik (2nd), Dentinho (3rd)
Manager of the Month: Nathan Limior (3rd)

Europa League Group Stage

With a win, we win the group, with a draw, we ensure qualification, and we have two games left, so we should easily win the group.
Good start to the season Europe-wise and domestically, nice work!
1
Always good when you beat Arsenal!

Looking forward to next stage in Europa!
Good work.

December 2019

Capital One Cup Quarterfinal
Leeds 0 - 1 Everton
Everton struggled with a heavily rotated squad (out of necessity more than desire), on a road against a Leeds team who knocked off Chelsea. It took a controversial penalty to win the match for Everton, but George Green knocked it in and advanced Everton to the semifinals.
Player of the Match: Enzo Iribarne (Everton)

- Everton have drawn Arsenal in the Capital One Cup semifinal. They will play at Everton first, then Arsenal.

Europa League Group Stage
Spartak Moscow 1 - 4 Everton
On a snowy evening in Moscow, Everton secured victory in their Europa League group and qualification to the knockout rounds!
Player of the Match: Manolo Gabbiadini (Everton)

Chelsea 0 - 1 Everton
The way both teams played, great defense, it deserved to be a scoreless draw, but George Green capitalized on goalkeeper Thibalt Courtois's mistake to score the game winning goal and upset Chelsea on the road.
Player of the Match: Vicente Molinos (Everton)

Manchester City 1 - 2 Everton
What a victory! Manchester City hadn't been beaten all season! After a scoreless first half, things opened up for both teams as they enjoyed the fruits of successful crosses. Manchester City looked more likely to score, and Edin Dzeko scored the first goal after a bit of a logjam in the box after a cross. Everton equalized when Loic Hourcade was caught against two men near the corner kick flag, he passed it back to Ribes who curled it in for Ademir who headed it in. Manolo Gabbiadini was the hero when he scored the winning goal on 86 minutes on Loic Hourcade's low cross.
Player of the Match: Dentinho (Everton)

Europa League Group Stage
Everton 4 - 0 Partizan
With a heavily rotated squad, the young guns took over. Ademir notched a brace, Pituca went up from his box to box position to score a goal, and Roberto Carlos Ordaz performing like his namesake with a direct free kick goal to seal the deal.
Player of the Match: Ademir (Everton)

- Everton have drawn Celtic for the Europa League Round of 32. Celtic will host the first match.

- The winner of Everton and Celtic will play the winner of Koln and ADO Den Haag, the first match will be played at either Koln or ADO Den Haag.

- John van der Brom has been sacked by Chelsea and Bruma has been placed on the transfer list.

- West Brom have hired Owen Coyle to be their manager.

Everton 6 - 2 Liverpool
If you weren't aware of Liverpool's sorry state in the league, look no further than this Merseyside massacre. Manolo Gabbiadini led the team with a hat trick, and irregular goalscorers Rob Reddy and Tarek Said (heading a free kick) joined in the fun. It looked like Liverpool would be competitive when Pal Sortevik committed an own goal to tie it up 1-1, but Gabbiadini started scoring and Everton never looked back.
Player of the Match: Manolo Gabbiadini (Everton)

- Aurelio Pereira, who has been a scout for Everton since 2017, has announced he will be retiring at the end of the season. He had been a long-time scout with Sporting CP.

Everton 1 - 0 Stoke
Both teams struggled to take their chances on a snowy day at Goodison Park, but Armand Mbock set up Gabbiadini's winner late when he cut in from the right side into the box and laid it off to Gabbiadini for the goal, a great piece of teamwork.
Player of the Match: Sergio Almada (Stoke)

- Norwich have fired manager Mark Venus. Inverness manager Terry Butcher (what a name!) is the bookies' favorite to take over.

Swansea 2 - 3 Everton
I hate when we make it harder than it has to be, we almost failed to win thanks to a poor defensive effort. Paride Lucaselli got a brace, volleying in a free kick and a corner kick, the latter of which the game winner.
Player of the Match: Paride Lucaselli (Everton)

- Chelsea's new manager is former CSKA Moscow boss Leonid Slutskiy.

Transfers

In
- Everton have bought midfielder Juan Jesus from Real Madrid for 21.5 million. Juan Jesus was on the outs at Real Madrid, and he looks like a keeper, and will help bolster our midfield throughout our gauntlet of matches.
- In the biggest purchase in club history, Everton has bought Internacional's Ricardo Gomez for a staggering 52 million pounds. Nathan Limior had been pursuing this purchase for at least half a season, and it's good to finally get it done and have an amazing striker to combo with Gabbiadini.

Out
- Vladimir Balic sold to Juventus for 6 million. He had been surplus for a while, nice to get him off the books for a good fee.
- Christian Buongusto sold to Roma for 3.9 million, same story as Balic, but he hadn't been around as long.

Premier League Table

I knew my team would be good, but I'd be a liar if I told you I expected to be in 2nd at the halfway point of the season. We're doing excellent, and with Juan Jesus and Ricardo Gomez joining up, we'll be even better!

Europa League Group Stage

As to be expected, total domination, and we have a pretty good chance of making it to the Quarterfinal at least.
You're doing brilliantly! And weird to see Everton spending that money but those youngsters look class :D

And yet another Merseyside derby thrashing, you've absolutely murdered them in the last two games I've seen!
1
It's nice to actually hit our transfer targets instead of getting them ganked by Bayern, Tottenham, Arsenal, Barca, Real Madrid, you get the point. We're a rich club, and we have to throw our weight around when the time is right.

January 2020

- Terry Butcher is Norwich's new manager.

West Ham 1 - 0 Everton
Juan Jesus and Ricardo Gomez struggled to gel with the team and the Everton attack struggled, although Gomez almost scored on two corner kicks.
Player of the Match: Keiichi Sakamoto (Everton)

FA Cup Third Round
Everton 5 - 1 Bolton
Ricardo Gomez finally got off the mark for Everton, scoring a brace. Cole Stockton had a goal for Bolton but they didn't measure up.
Player of the Match: Rob Reddy (Everton)
Injury Update: Keiichi Sakamoto suffered a torn hamstring and will miss 2-3 months.

- Everton has an away draw at Brighton and Hove Albion for the FA Cup 4th Round.

Capital One Cup Semifinal
First Leg: Everton 4 - 1 Arsenal
52 million pound man Ricardo Gomez had his breakout performance, scoring a brace. Gomez is proving to be most effective on setpieces where he can use his heading to his advantage.
Player of the Match: Ricardo Gomez (Everton)

Wolverhampton Wanderers 2 - 3 Everton
It looked like it would be a walkover for Everton as Gomez and Gabbiadini bagged a goal each to get a 2-0 lead, but Senne Schoeters and Tasos Ntounis scored goals to equalize. Everton spent the rest of the game trying to find the winner, and Gabbiadini found it late with a close-range finish.
Player of the Match: Ricardo Gomez (Everton)

- Everton rejected an offer of 19.5 million pounds for Viktor Fischer from Manchester United.

Everton 2 - 0 Southampton
Ricardo Gomez was the star, scoring goals on 2 and 8 minutes from setpiece situations. Everton dominated the match and earned a decisive victory.
Player of the Match: Ricardo Gomez (Everton)

Capital One Cup Semifinal
Second Leg: Arsenal 2 - 2 Everton
Arsenal 3 - 6 Everton on aggregate
Everton was not going to let a repeat of the 2017 Capital One Cup semifinal happen. They opened the scoring when Gabbiadini slid in the rebound of his own powerful shot that cracked off the woodwork. Neymar equalized with a powerful shot. George Green took the lead for Everton again, heading a Fischer cross that went over Szczesny's head. Yoo Hoon broke through and rounded Pal Sortevik for the tying goal, but it wasn't enough and Everton is through to the final!
Player of the Match: Viktor Fischer (Everton)

- Manchester City defeated Coventry City 4-1 on aggregate, so they will be our opponent in the Capital One Cup final.

FA Cup 4th Round
Brighton and Hove 0 - 3 Everton
Ricardo Gomez continues to showcase his amazing form, netting a hat trick to secure the expected lopsided victory for Everton.
Player of the Match: Ricardo Gomez (Everton)

Everton 0 - 0 Tottenham
We did more with the ball but our finishing was terrible.
Player of the Match: Marouane Fellaini (Tottenham)

Premier League Table

It's annoying because Manchester City isn't giving us room for error, and Manchester United is nipping at our heels, but that's the way it is. We have some big matches coming up in February, we need to keep our form up.

Barclays Young Player of the Month: Vicente Molinos (2nd) and Dentinho (3rd)
Hahaha! Everton are 2nd when Liverpool are 16th!!

February 2020

Everton 4 - 0 Hull
Ricardo Gomez scored the first goal by heading in a free kick, but it was the Manolo Gabbiadini Show as he notched a hat trick with deadly running and shooting, undoing Hull's 5-3-2 and undoing a surprisingly good side.
Player of the Match: Manolo Gabbiadini (Everton)
Injury Update: Unfortunately, Ricardo Gomez pulled his hamstring and will miss 3 weeks.

Fulham 0 - 0 Everton
Once again, we play better, but a poor attacking effort undoes us.
Player of the Match: Paride Lucaselli (Everton)

Everton 2 - 2 Manchester United
This is all I have to say.
Player of the Match: Bart L'Ami (Manchester United)

A very boring victory by the favorites, led by a brace from Hernan Ramirez.
Player of the Match: Rami Gershon (Sheffield Wednesday)

- Everton will play at Reading in the Sixth Round.

Europa League Round of 32
First Leg: Celtic 1 - 4 Everton
Ademir and Hernan Ramirez set the tone of the game with 1st and 6th minute goals. Celtic pulled one back with Rab MacLeod's goal, but the result was never in question.
Player of the Match: Ademir (Everton)

Capital One Cup Final at Wembley Stadium
Everton 4 - 1 Manchester City after extra time
Manager Nathan Limior had a very happy birthday as a tireless Everton squad delivered a victory that seemed more dominating than it was! Thomas Muller portended doom and gloom for Everton fans with the first goal, but Dani Carvajal got his second yellow card and Manolo Gabbiadini fished a lifeline for Everton with a direct free kick goal. Manchester City battled hard, but in the second extra time half everything collapsed as Everton scored three goals in the 15 minute period!
Player of the Match: Manolo Gabbiadini (Everton)

Europa League Round of 32
Second Leg: Everton 1 - 0 Celtic

Everton dominated a Celtic team that parked the bus but ended with 9 men due to injury, Vicente Molinos scored the only goal with a header off a corner kick.
Player of the Match: Vicente Molinos (Everton)

Premier League Table

We have a game in hand, but we need to keep winning. Gomez and Gabbiadini need to get back on form for us.

Awards

Barclays Young Player of the Month: Vicente Molinos (2nd) and Loic Hourcade (3rd)
Great month, unbeaten, drawing with United, hammering City for a trophy (your first at Everton?) getting some good results. I'm not including hammering Celtic in the "great" section ;)
1
Move over City, we've got a new powerhouse in town.

March 2020

Reading 0 - 2 Everton
Ricardo Gomez once again took on his stellar form, scoring a brace. Johan Martial was sent off for a second yellow, a poor display from the former Everton man.

An amazing team performance by Everton as five different players scored goals, showing off their wealth of class.
Player of the Match: George Green (Everton)

Europa League Round of 16
First Leg: ADO Den Haag 1 - 5 Everton
It seemed like the prematch banter between Limior and rival manager Alex Pastoor was more interesting than the actual match, as Manolo Gabbiadini stormed to a four goal performance and have put ADO Den Haag all but out of contention.
Player of the Match: Manolo Gabbiadini (Everton)

Newcastle 1 - 1 Everton
Tim Krul saved the match from being a loss as he saved many potential Everton goals.
Player of the Match: Tim Krul (Newcastle)

Europa League Round of 16
Second Leg: Everton 1 - 0 ADO Den Haag
Everton 6 - 1 ADO Den Haag on aggregate
We were stout in the back end despite having to play midfielder Vladan Berisavac on the back three. Loic Hourcade scored his first goal of the season off of fellow winger Armand Mbock's free kick at the end of the first half.
Player of the Match: Loic Hourcade (Everton)

- Everton will play Porto in the Europa League Quarterfinal. If Everton wins, they will play the winner of Napoli/Sporting CP.

Player of the Match: Ricardo Gomez (Everton)

- Everton will play Leeds United at Wembley Stadium for the FA Cup Semifinal.

Everton 3 - 1 Derby
Hernan Ramirez got Everton off to a great start with a brace and Everton never looked back.
Player of the Match: Hernan Ramirez (Everton)

Norwich 2 - 3 Everton
Everton were lucky to score goals on all of their shots on target, or they might not be so happy. Gabbiadini had two, and almost a hat trick, but it was disallowed.
