2013-07-27 17:22#123339 P-KIDDY : £6m is a great deal for Real Madrid it must be said. If you are anything like Pep in real life tactics wise, Mandzukic would never be a comfortable fit. Just a thought, with Madrid having 3 top strikers, a move for Higuain wouldn't be bad would it? Keep it up :)
Thanks mate. I believe Higuain should move to north London uno to a great club haha.

I try to use Pep style tactics with IF's but it is more of a 4-1-1-3-1 formation with a DM and a CM :P
2013-07-27 17:27#123341 tbendis : Why is Gomez your starter over Mandžukić. That's what I don't understand. They are a similar type of player, but Mandžukić is younger, and... probably... better...

Ah well, still an excellent deal for Madrid. I agree with Paddy though. Perhaps chasing Higuain...
Thanks mate. Well I cant stand the man at all. I hate his style of play but Mario Gomez fits the style better and has been on much better form.

As I said I rejected £11M from Dortmund as I could not sell to them :P
2013-07-27 17:34#123344 BeanyUnited : A good idea to sell him IMO. No point keeping a striker you don't want! £6m is hardly a huge amount of cash but not bad for a unwanted player! Keep up the in-depth updates I really enjoy them :)
Cheers mate. He is useless for me so I had to let him go.

Thanks a lot mate its good to know you are enjoying it :P
Not sure I would have accepted 6m for Mandzukic mate...but nevertheless you have Bony and Vossen ahead of him so better to get something rather than letting him rot

Leaverkusen Away

PEP’S NOTES: This is not the way I wanted to start the 2nd half of the season. I felt that Leverkusen were the better team throughout the game and they kept on pressing us for 90 minutes. Then late on a silly mistake from Neuer cost us the game as he did not control the ball properly and the Leverkusen striker was able to pounce on our mistake. Again we had around 60% of the possession but the chances are coming but we are just not taking them. I feel that we must beet Dortmund in the upcoming match to have any form of chance of winning the Bundesliga.

Augsburg Home

PEP’S NOTES: A great performance by the lads in a game we needed to win. We know realise we must win games to have any chance of winning the title so we are now prepared to go out and give it our best shot. Muller hit a brace and he has been performing very well since November after I introduced him into the team. He plays well with Gomez and they can play off one another as Muller is more quick and this partnership works well with Muller playing just behind the striker.

Hannover Away

PEP’S NOTES: This has been the story of our season. We have drawn games too many times and if we count how many points we have lost it is astounding. I feel we need to work on this for next season and we need to be able to be able to find the killer edge over teams. Mario Gomez broke a Bayern Munich record after he opened the scoring with only 9 seconds on the clock. He later added a 2nd to his tally with a well-timed header at the near post.

Dortmund Home

PEP’S NOTES: Well this is it now. Our title hopes are all but over. We were poised to win after an Oxlade-Chamberlain brace but it was not enough as they managed to find an equalizer in the 89th minute. I feel with this point we need a miracle to win the title so from now on my focus will be on winning the Champions League as that is a big expectation from the board. I am upset that we can’t challenge for the title but next season will be different and we will win the league.

Nurnberg Away

PEP’S NOTES: Well another draw as we continue to fall away from Dortmund. I just feel this is it now and we are 95% out of the title race. We managed to gain a late equalizer though Muller but really we needed 3 points and I feel we must now just turn our focus elsewhere and we must try and be a better team next season.

Mainz Home

PEP’S NOTES: This is what we should have been doing all season. Too many times we have drew against teams like this and dropped points. It was a great performance by the team and we managed to grab 3 points VS a team that should be relegation candidates.

League Table

As you can see we sit 9 points behind Dortmund. We can only close this down with a miracle so the next game we drop points then that is the game where we lose the league.

Spartak Moscow Away

PEP’S NOTES: A great win for us in the 1st leg of the last 16. We need the away goals and to go out and 3 of them is a great feeling. I feel we have got 1 foot in the quarter finals and we are ready to take the competition by storm. I feel that we can win this with some hard work and determination.

Player Of The Month

Alex has had a great month and he has been playing very well. He has adapted to German football well and to perform like he has in his first season is a miracle. I have big plans for Alex in the future and he is part of my Bayern Dynasty.
Have faith. Great update :)

Cheers mate. I did not want to sell him to Dortmund due to them being to much of a close rival to us. He was going to rot away so I had to let him go :P

Norbert Riedle –The Future of Bayern?

Each year many young and talented players are told by big clubs they are not good enough. This is a heart-braking experience for any player whether they are 16 or 36. But also every year future superstars are found and this could be the case with new Bayern Munich first team player Norbert Riedle.

Norbert is a 15 year old striker who was born just outside of Munich. He was recently signed a contract with Bayern Munich and is tipped to become a world superstar. Norbert is highly rated by the coaching staff at Bayern and they are already in talks with the player over a staggering new 5 year contract. This comes after recent interest from Europe’s top clubs.

Bayern Munich coaching staff are tipping the youngster to become a legend at Bayern Munich and with such expectations he said he wants to prove himself and become a great player.

“I want to be the best”, said Norbert. “I feel I have potential and I feel I have the ability to become a good player. I am excited to join Bayern Munich and recently I have been training with the first team to gain some experience. I am ready to try and play some games but at the moment I can play as I am too young. I want to prove myself in pre-season and I hope to play some games next season”

Bayern have many top class youngsters that were signed by Pep Guardiola and this new kid on the block looks certain to become a top class player.
Great prospect mate. Hope he turns out well for you :)
Good luck developing Norbert! Don't put to much pressure on him, or he'll buckle underneath it with all the girls and money and girls..
