Awesome month and Destro is on a roll!! 3 top signings and definitely interested in how Bellusci does. Boudebouz could work out to be a fantastic piece of business!

Want-Away Ospina Sold to Monaco

New Monaco signing David Ospina.

Inter have announced that goalkeeper David Ospina has been sold to AS Monaco for 3.5 million euros. The Colombian goalkeeper had requested a transfer due to lack of playing time behind Samir Handanovic, and now the transfer has been granted by Giuseppe Bergomi.

Ospina played for OGC Nice during the 2012-2013 season, making 28 appearances in Ligue 1 but also conceding 50 goals. He then refused to extend his contract at the French club, and was signed by Bergomi on a free transfer to start the 2013-2014 season as a backup to Samir Handanovic.

In his first season with Inter, Ospina made 14 Serie A appearances and 19 in all competitions, conceding a meager 7 goals in Serie A and 10 goals in all competitions. Ospina could not, however, dislodge Handanovic from the number one spot between the sticks, but did request Bergomi for more first team game time. At the start of this season, Bergomi seemed to be prepared to split the two goalkeepers evenly, but after 4 games each, Ospina requested a transfer to receive full time starting. He has not made an appearance since then.

Ospina told the press, "I am happy to complete this move to Monaco. I felt as though I was not receiving enough time at Inter to achieve my full potential in my career. I wish Inter all the best, and I will miss the people there, but I am happy to get away from Bergomi."

In response, the Inter manager said, "We are happy to sell a player who is unhappy in our locker room. 3.5 million euros is a good price for a player who did not play for us. I thought otherwise when I first signed him, but he proved to me that he was not Inter quality."
You sell him for 3.5million euros, I buy him for 7.25million pounds. What have I been doing with my life? o_O

I couldn't get that much for him because I signed him on a free, which always ruins players' values. But 7.25m is a bit foolish when you could've gotten him on a free XD
xD haha the goalkeeper situation at Inter carries on being a backup merry go round :p

Serie A

We are 6 points clear, but Juventus have a game in hand. The points dropped against Sampdoria were very poor, but we have nothing to blame except our lack of finishing and our lack of discipline. We still have the lead, though, and that's what is important.

Coppa Italia

We're in the final yet again! We thrashed every team in our way, 4-1, 4-0, and 3-0. Fiorentina made it harder on themselves, winning in penalties, extra time, and then a 1-0 win in the semifinals. I think we can definitely beat Fiorentina and win a third straight Coppa Italia.

Player of the Month

My player of the month is Philippe Coutinho. The young Brazilian had a great month, finally fully healthy after his injury. He scored 4 goals and racked up 2 assists and really drove the team forward.

Monthly Review

Until the very last game of the month, January was absolutely perfect. We were hammering in goals, manifested by 4-0, 5-0, and 3-0 wins. We also did not give up a single goal until that last game. It was a great show of dominance. In the last game, however, it fell apart. We hit the post three times and got two red cards and then gave up a late goal. Very unfortunate, a game we should have won at home. We were buoyed on by our new signings, with Sissoko especially making an incredible start. Hopefully we can continue this form until the end of the season.
Nice job, really unfortunate you didn't win all the games, though. Wish my team could park the bus like that.
