August 2014 Update

Matches

FC Halifax 1 @ Harrogate 1

Solihull Moors 2 @ FC Halifax 0

FC Halifax 0 @ Gainsborough 1

Tactic Note: We haven't been creating many good chances so I am using a shout to help fix that. Here's the shout: Play Out of Defense, Play Through Defense, Work Ball into Box, Look For Overlap, Get Stuck In, Hassle Opponents, Retain Possession, Pass Into Space, Press Up Higher. Press Up Higher didn't work so I took it out after 20 minutes.

Boston United 2 @ FC Halifax 1

100th Game: Droylsden 1 @ FC Halifax 3

Transfers

- English striker Luke Booker in on a 2 year, 2300 pound/year contract. He's one for the future most definitely but he has great potential.
- English center midfielder Matt Robinson in on loan from Luton for 3 months; 0% wages.

Injuries and Other News

- Adriano Moke suffered a twisted ankle against Harrogate and will be out 6-7 weeks. Halifax still has strong center midfielders but will be looking to take in another on loan for cover.
- Bradley Wood suffered a gashed leg against Boston United and will be out 2-3 weeks.
- English versatile midfielder Jack Phillips signed a 1 year, 5,500 pound/year contract with Halifax. He's not the best of players, but he has some useful attributes, is cheap, and I'm looking for him to be a valuable substitute since he can play any midfield position.

Standings

It was a tough month for us but we played some tough teams and I think we're starting to turn it around, we're playing better in the opposition box.
Love the way you've journeyed from club to club in search of something worth committing to. :) Under what circumstances, do you think, you'd find yourself in a lengthier relationship with a club you're managing?

Also, slow and steady start! The season is still very much beginning though, and you can definitely enjoy some success in future. Keep up the good work! And of course, 'Good Luck'!

September 2014 Update

Matches

FC Halifax 0 @ Nuneaton 7

Histon 1 @ FC Halifax 2

Bradford PA 3 @ FC Halifax 2

I got a little crazy in the post-match presser and criticized the officials for everything, and thus will suffer a touchline ban for the next match for criticizing the officials. Hopefully this gives the players something to rally around. Unfortunately, it's also the first FA Cup match. Whoops! It's going to be hard having to watch it in the stands.

FA Cup 2nd Qualifying Round - FC Halifax 1 @ Hyde 3

FC Halifax 2 @ Hereford 0

FC Halifax 1 @ Vauxhall 0

Transfers

- Fullback Joe Clarke in on a free transfer from Stockport on a non-contract basis.

Injuries and Other News

- Paul Marshall suffered a groin strain against Bradford PA and will be out 4 weeks.

Standings

Three wins out of five this month isn't bad, but the 7 goals conceded against Nuneaton will hurt our tiebreakers at end-of-season, and we could have used the point we earned against Bradford PA.
Lol 7-0! I would have quit by that point! Good on you for continuing though xD

Still above Boston! Good job bouncing back from the 7-0 drubbing, and getting decent results in the league! ;) Shame about the FA Cup though. KUTGW!
1
Ouch EB, 7-0 is hard to take! You'll get through!
1
I've taken those kinds of drubbings before. It's just one game and the season is long, and we've started to find our bearings. The FA Cup is rough, but I don't think we would have had the depth to make a sustained run and compete in BSN at the same time. A more realistic target is winning the Carlsberg Trophy.
Good luck with the rest of the season, i had a 5 season spell at halifax recently... until corruption ruined my hard work, got them into the prem :(

Anyway, i'll be watching this tale unfold with interest, i enjoy watching a roaming manager, i get too attached personally lol.
1
Thank you ziechael, it really wasn't in my interest to roam, at least, in making lateral moves. I wanted to stay with Boston, if it was my decision I would have signed another contract.
7-0! Ouch! :/

Nice job beating Nico's Vauxhall though ;)

Great story so far. Good luck with FC Halifax!

October 2014 Update

Matches

Ashton United 0 @ FC Halifax 0

FC Halifax 6 @ FC United 2

FC Halifax 2 @ Barrow 2

Cambridge City 2 @ FC Halifax 5

Transfers

- Welsh left back Curtis Strong signed a 2 year, 1,300 pound/year contract with Halifax
- English left back Jordan Anderson signed a 2 year, 2,000 pound/year contract with Halifax

Injuries and Other News

- Left back Danny Lowe suffered a torn hamstring against FC United and will be out 3-4 months.
- Striker Luke Booker is unhappy and wants to go on loan, as of now there is no interest though.
- Matt Robinson's loan will end on November 13. Due to his poor performance and return to full strength of our core midfielder unit, we will not be extending the loan.
- Striker Billy Bricknell suffered a hernia during training on October 30 and will be out 6-7 weeks from that date.

Standings

An undefeated month, and our team looked deadly in front of goal! We should have beaten Ashton United, that is the only blemish on our record this month. If this keeps up we will definitely be in the promotion discussion at the end of November.
A couple of big wins there to make up for that 7-0 drubbing haha. Keep it up mate!
Some strong results after that horrific one :p great work fighting back and seems the team are playing well now! Push for the playoffs maybe?

Injuries and Other News

Standings

We didn't go anywhere because we had a crappy month but at least we didn't go down. It's not as easy to go undefeated in a month when you face tougher competition!

What a strange set of results. That's the Blue Square North for ya! One moment I'm thinking you're gonna bypass through and get them results together then you get pulled back. Tough. Mind you it won't be too hard to climb up the table. Everything is quite tight so with a bit of luck you will find yourself beating down the doors of play off spots. Keep it up
