November

Oriental are still in the title race

November was a good month bar one game, the month started off with a routine win at Louletano, the game finishing 3-0. Next up was the big game, against league leaders CD Fatima. A win would keep us in the title race, and that's exactly what we got, a 3-0 crushing to put us within one point of them. A week later, we went to AD Carregado, looking for an easy win. Jorge Correia was sent off and some shocking defending and finishing cost us and gave Fatima the edge. A major shakeup was made and we went out with a 4-2-3-1 with an AM in the hole behind the striker not an IF. Several players were dropped including Rodrigo Antonio and Antonio Alves was injured. After Socrates Pedro's poor showing filling the ST spot Ibrahima Balde was given a go against SC Torreense and did marginally better. In the 80th minute we went back to our favoured 4-4-1-1 and brought Rodrigo Antonio on. The result swung in our favour as the Brazilian performed yet another piece of brilliance, scoring in the 82nd and 86th minutes to give us three points and keep us in the tital race.

Oriental are second, 1 point off CD Fatima in 1st

Player of the Month

Who else really? Scored the winner against Torreense and other great pieces of play
Good Month, Rodrigo Antonio looks like a decent little player

Thanks, although that loss to Carregado may cost us :( Rodrigo Antonio has been immense and he is playing out of position! Thanks for reading :)

Oriental Lisboa vs. CD Fatima

Second Division South - Phase 1 | Campo Carlos Salema | 11.11.12 | Att. 562 | Ref: V Oliveira | Dry 19
3-0

40' J. Correia [PEN]
81' A. Alves
86' Sebastien [PEN]

38' Basso
47' F. Condesso

F. Condesso

Vitor Martins' Review: In what could go down as the match that decides the title, even in the early stages of the season, we came out on top, standing our ground and working as a unit. I personally don't know how Fatima are top, as they were sloppy and couldn't deal with our energy. They had 51% of possession but we used our 49% 100% better. 14 shots to nine in their favour, two yellow cards to us, yet they gave away two penalties both converted identically by Correia and Sebastien. Alves and Antonio were up to it again and Condesso put in a MOTM performance. He and Sufrim are combining perfectly. We won 3-0, and went 10 games unbeaten in the league!

On another note I have passed a milestone! That milestone is...

Thank you to everybody who has taken time out to reply, whether it is feedback, congratulations or just a tip. Commenting keeps me motivated and stops me switching saves every week. I normally have problems sticking to one save more than 2 seasons but I think this is different. Anyway, I will leave it that, thanks again :D

December

It is the season to be jolly for Oriental

An outstanding month for Oriental as we marched to first place in the league. Our patience payed off as CD Fatima slipped up and we overtook them into first. The month started off with an important game versus Sertanense and we came away with a 3-0 win. Next up was Pinhalnovense and we scraped through with a narrow victory. AD Oeiras came after, and we won comfortably 2-0. A tough game was next against early runners SC Farense but they couldn't muster a win with their first game under their new manager. A late goal made it 2-1 but the couldn't find another. Last but not least was UD Leiria, who not long ago were competing in the Liga Zon Sagres. They were swept aside as we won 3-0.

Oriental Lisboa are sitting 1st four points ahead of CD Fatima

Also, due to our brilliant team play I managed to scoop the December Manager of the Month award, my first for the season. This is a great achievement and I have to give credit to my team.

Records

It was a very good month for you.
Keep it up, and come with promotion.

A happy new year for Oriental Lisbon

Another alright month which finished on a bad note. The month started with lowly Dezembro Sintra and we smashed them like boots on an ant! 4 goal in the first half put us on our way to an easy win. Next up was Quarteirense and we scraped through with a 2-1 victory. A bore 0-0 draw was not an acceptable result against a team like Ribeira Brava. Then came the 'Mini-Derby' and we were destroyed. There was no passion whatsoever from the boys, as CF Benfica cruised to a 2-0 win.

We sit seven points clear of CD Fatima who keep stuffing up
Promotion looks almost sure at this point if you keep getting the results!
