I find that new clubs will always be more willing to negotiate. I got to negotiate my potential salary at CSKA Moskva by 70K (180K to 250K), while I normally take a raise of about 10% a year with Hajduk. Plus the sizable new contract bonus, if I keep my act together.

Although, with me, I started in a pretty shitty financial situation, so the raise at the end of contracts is customary

Wow, 70K?! :O

Oriental is in a pretty shitty financial state atm, so they really had no room to offer more money. Hopefully this situation changes if and when we get into the promised land of Liga Zon Sagres, which is bound to boost finances. Thanks for reading :)

To be fair, it was an unsolicited offer. As in, they came in without going to the press or anything, and just slumped an offer on the table. So, you can always negotiate more when that is the situation

True. But I feel that the salary doesn't represent anything seeing as though you can't do anything with it, so I don't actually care that much about it.
Wow. Champions and going pro. A good couple of weeks for you.

I try to get as much as possible, purely for realism's sake... It would be stupid if I tried to negotiate myself as small as possible a wage just to help a big club, if I wouldn't do that in real life

Yeah I understand where you are coming from, I do try and bump it up but and I don't put it to the smallest. I am like you I like it as realistic as possible, so I try to do that as much as possible :)
Congratulations on promotion :D

Personally I try to take as little as possible for my wages, i know it isn't realistic but i live in the hopes that it means there will be more money available for the club/players/wages etc if i'm not draining the boards resources ;)

ps. Great story mate and congratulations on going pro, next stop, world domination!

Yeah I've tried the same about once, I don't actually think it helps but it possibly could? :/

Thanks mate, that is the aim :D :P
What is your wage (compared to last year) and transfer budget for the new season?

Taking A Break

Hello readers, I will not be able to update for about two nights or days. This is because I am a bit burnt out. It is school holidays here and I have done a lot of FM so I am a bit burnt out and will be taking a break to rekindle my motivation.

I also will be without FM for a couple of days so that will give me enough time to recoup my love for Oriental and this save. I am doing better than expected and I hope you stay tuned even though I am taking a break.
