League Cup Group Results



I was happy to qualify top of my group but I was worried about our losses to JJK and MYPA away. They have strong teams and will look to challenge me for the league title this season. Ilja Venalainen was great, scoring six goals to help us qualify. All three of my new signings were injured but Demirci and Tuomi got game time in our last fixture against VPS and the played well.

Quarter Final Draw


We got the easy tie in this round and I am expecting a comfortable win. I hope you are all enjoying my story. Until next time, stay tuned!

Venalainen is a beast, watch out for Wenger, the bargain hunter.

League Cup Quarter Final

Hi guys, I have the League Cup Quarter Final here for you in this post. We played Haka at home in a game which we were expected to win. How did we do? Let's find out!



Miika Ilo gave us the lead with a looping header. Albert Kuqi equalised for Haka with a bullet of a shot from 20 yards out. This brought the game to penalties. Venalainen slotted home the opening penalty. Simunac took Haka's first penalty which was expertly saved by Mika Hilander. The rest of KuPS' penalties found the back of the net, putting them through to the semi-finals.

Semif-Final Draw


It is a very tough fixture but after their poor season last term, they lost several key players. One of those players is our Rasmus Schuller. I am hoping to get the win and progress to the final.

Can KuPS do the impossible task of beating HJK at their own grounds? Stay tuned to find out!

League Cup Semi-Final

It was a thrilling fixture. HJK vs KuPS is always an exiting prospect and this game was sure to fulfill it's expectations. Here we go!



What a game! The first half was a tight affair with no goals but a lot of action. The second half started with a goal as HJK took the lead. Venalainen and Tabe scored for KuPS to put them in to the lead. Somehow, HJK turned the game on its head to go 3-2 up, with five minutes to go. However, Ilja Venalainen proved why he is a KuPS legend with a dramatic equaliser and celebrated duelly. The game went to penalties and Venalainen opened it with a goal. HJK missed their second and third penalties and KuPS scored four to go through to the final! What a game!


League Cup Final Draw


We are playing MYPA in a tough final. MYPA have proved themselves to be title contenders and have wowed many Finnish football fans.

Can KuPS win the League Cup for the second time? Stay tuned!
