FM 2012 Skins - Fahrenheit Skin for FM2012

The author of this skin is Torben, same person who have been producing one of the most popular skins in recent years called NEUE.

For Football Manager 2012 he chose to come up with a new skin instead of porting NEUE again. New skin is entitled Fahrenheit and has been voted as the best skin for FM12 by the sortitoutsi.net community.

Installation instructions:

Download the skin and follow the steps below to get it into your game:

Extract the file (using either 7-Zip for Windows or The Unarchiver for Mac).

Copy the folders you extracted into your skins folder this is by default (you may need to create the skins folder if it doesn’t already exist):

Win Vista/7: C:\Users\<username>\Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2012\skins
Win XP: C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\My Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2012\skins
Mac OS X: /Users/<username>/Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2012/skins

If you cannot find your user data folder:

Applying the skin:

To select the skin in game you will need to:

load the game, and go into the preferences -> Display and Sound menu
untick ‘Use Skin Cache’ and tick ‘Always Reload Skin On Confirm’ then select confirm and
select the skin from the drop down menu, select confirm again and your new skin should now display. (Once the skin is loaded you can turn the skin cache back on and untick the Always Reload button.)

Please note the above skin is provided as is, it is nothing to do with Sports Interactive or SEGA and won't be supported by them.

Actually sorry. My mistake. I did that (what I said to do earlier) and the game froze because it couldn't find some file. So I went into the "MACOSX" file and inserted the Fahrenheit folder into the skins folder (the one right after you double click on the "MACOSX" file and NOT the one inside the fahrenheit folder with 4 other things). Restarted the game and the skin was loaded. Hope that helps.

To: DaleyScfc and MatthewHardingStand

When you open the winzip file like MatthewHardingStand says there are two files "MACOSX" and "Fahrenheit". To have this skin appear in the game you have to double click on the "Fahrenheit" file. In that file there should be another file that says "Fahrenheit". Just extract that file to the skins folder and do what normally is done to activate skins and that should do it.

I have downloaded the skin, extracted it to the correct place, ticked and unticked the relevant boxes in the game, but it still won't appear in the drop down menu. When the skin is extracted it shows two files - '_MACOSX' and 'Fahrenheit FM12 skin'. Is this correct. Any help appreciated, Thanks.
