FM Genie Scout (or Genie Scout in short) is world's most popular scouting tool for Football Manager, created to extend the possibilities of finding, sorting and shortlisting players and staff, controlling their progress, making "first 11" and tactics choice easier and observing attributes invisible in FM.

There are no new features compared to Genie Scout 13, except the addition of all the new player roles in FM14 (enganche, false nine etc). During closed beta stage, Eugene focused on making all GS13 functions available for GS14 and fixed all bugs that came to surface. As a result, the public edition should be quite stable from the very first version.

How to run
- Extract the downloaded .zip file and run the setup .exe file.
- You might get an offer to install a free program or a browser toolbar. You can choose to Accept or Decline/Skip the offer.
Important: Unticking checkboxes on the offer screen is only for disabling an offer's extra options. If you don't want the offer, you need to hit the Decline or the Skip button! - Follow instructions until installation is finished.
- Run Football Manager 2014 and load your savegame.
- Launch Genie Scout 14 and from main menu click "Load Game".

Donate to get the "g" edition
As usual, Genie Scout 14 comes in two editions. One with ads and one with no ads (we will refer to it as the "g" edition). In order to get the "no ads" one you'll have to donate to Eugene first, using the Donate to Eugene page.Genie Scout 14g FAQ
DELIVERY OF THE 'G' EDITION :
Eugene has automatized the process of distribution for the "g" edition, so people will only have to wait a few minutes before they will get a download link and a key file. But only if they have sent correct contact email, correct Unique ID along with the donation.
Make sure you check your Spam folder too.
If Eugene doesn't have his computer open at the time of donation, it might take up to 24 hours or longer (until he opens it). In case of problem with your donation, please contact Eugene using the email address you'll see in the message after donation.
Apart from no ads, the "g" edition has 4 extra features:

A statistically based model that will show the probability of reaching theoretical maximum of players ability - Progress Rate :

If you have custom facepacks and/or kitpacks added to your FM, it should show on player and team profiles on GS - Top Players Lists :
Automatically generated lists for best players, most promising and top bargains in the world, by position
Please note that during the first run of "g" edition it may take a few minutes to create the graphic packs cache. Next time it will be loaded much faster.
IMPORTANT :
FM Scout (the site) is not involved in the donations towards Eugene, neither has any responsibility delivering the ad-free version to you after donation. This is a process handled solely by Eugene himself.

EXPORTING DATA :
Please understand it is forbidden by the EULA from SI and SEGA to export all the data from the results. You should be able to export only basic information such as player name, club, age, etc... the rest information belong to SI and SEGA.

@bem: A screenshot would be more helpful in this case, but I'll suppose it's the WS.Reputation.1 alert. I'll copy/paste a previous comment of mine:
It should be a false positive. Most times it quarantines a file just because they don't have enough information on it. Check the following links for details:

@spursfc10: Re-downloading the latest version and re-installing it, worked for everyone else though. I'll inform Eugene to consider releasing a new version nonetheless.
@SantaBJ: Iminent was removed from our campaign as per our request. The only way to avoid getting the software on offer installed is by clicking the "Decline" or "Skip" button; unticking the checkboxes only affects some extra options of an offer. Perhaps you've just unticked the checkboxes and hit the "Next" button? The ad agency is Somoto Inc and other popular free software is bundled with their offers. They've assured us nothing will be installed as long as people hit the button I just explained, and I've personally tested it multiple times to be true (followed by computer scans with AVG, Ad-aware and Malwarebytes).
@parisii75: It was a momentary thing, should have worked moments afterwards.
@spined_wurm: Not sure, I'll speak with him tomorrow about this.
@henry0919: No need for an update, it already works. If it doesn't work for you, please re-download the latest version and re-install (we had issued a silent update on the day of last update).
@alon1421: Whoever owns the 'g' edition has been receiving emails from Eugene every time a new version is available. So you should have one somewhere in your email client.
In either case, I want it to work with 14.2.1
Just finished my season and badly need to improve my squad. My scouts are poor as is my assistant it seems, telling me that I have some quality players but when looking at them previously with GS they are well below average for the level I'm at.
Again, the specific software was "Iminent" something or the other (you've already mentioned lodging a complaint against that, which I appreciate) and also FileFrog - which is apparently a software updater of some sort. I *know* I did not install it or consent to its installation, and I *know* it appeared around the time I updated Genie Scout. I also know that Genie was the only thing I updated/installed this week.
Just so we're clear, this is less of a complaint or call to action and more a word of caution and general warning. This kind of behaviour from software *will* cause it to get flagged as mal/adware.
This should work.

@SantaBJ: I've replied to similar complaints a few times, please browse through the comments to find my replies. I'll copy/paste some excerpts for you here as well:
@parigo73: Seems to me there's something wrong with your key file. Perhaps you formatted your computer and reinstalled GS14g or tried to install the tool on a different computer. At either case, your Unique ID must have changed which means your key file won't work properly. You'll need to ask Eugene for a new key file, just message him.
@pedroblake: Try to right-click on the download link and select "Save link as..." or similar (depends on your browser). See if that works for you.
(In my case it was "Iminent" and possibly "Files Frog Updater". I want neither, and Iminent relaunched my Chrome sessions, hijacked my search and homepage settings and reset some of my custom flags. HUGELY problematic in so many ways, and it is the kind of thing that might - rightfully - get Genie Scout flagged as mal/adware.)
when I run GS 14g, all players in the list are marked GK and estimating their potential they have only 40% to their best position.
