FMSE Features

Even though the initial alpha version is missing plenty of features that we're still working on adding, it's already packed with a plethora of options and running lightning fast. The focus is clearly on the editing side of things. The scouting part will grow in due time.

Once we reach beta, FMSE17 shall have a much wider range of functionality to meet the needs of our most demanding users. That won't take as long as you might expect, so make sure to vote for the feature you wish to see next.

We intend to issue weekly updates, so there will be something new to look forward to every single week.

Whenever there's a new official patch out, we aim to update within a couple of hours. And while update time is dependent on external factors (such as patch complexity or other unpredictable situations), we'll do our best to deliver updates faster than any other third party tool out there.

Here's an overview of the currently available key features...

FMSE17 has just been updated to add support for yesterday's 17.3.2 patch.
  • isildrae's avatar
@Stam: Yeah, was really odd. Didn't make any other changes. Next day however, everything started working again. So........hoorar!

Thanks for taking the time to reply anyway Stam.

Anybody having trouble loading their games, please run FMSE as administrator, and try loading your game. Then go into C:\Program Files\FMSE17, you should see a file there called "log.txt". Please send it to [email protected] along with a brief description of your problem. Thanks

Tryning to use FMSE for the first time. FM is loaded with save game but when I try to load game in FMSE, it keeps loading and loading game data. Been doing that for +30 min now. Any advice?
  • Stam's avatar
@isildrae: That's really strange. You're saying you had FM17 open with your save loaded and FMSE17 was working fine until that error popped up out of the blue while still having FM17 open? Did you make any other changes when it happened?

@MICASYT: Role ratings topped the votes on our last poll, so perhaps this will be the major new feature. My personal choice for next feature would be competitions, but will see. A few minor ones are planned as well, but not sure which ones will make it to the next version.

Last night this suddenly stopped working for me. I was ingame and using the previous version when a notification popped up saying: Error Loading Data - Could not find compatible version. I updated to the latest version, but no dice. Still comes up with the same message. My FM is up to date. Tried repairing the install.

    Any thoughts?

what are the new features that you are thinking of adding?

Happy to announce we finally have a new version out. 0.6.1.0 is a bugfix release that addresses half a dozen issues and we're already working on the next version that will include one major new feature and will likely arrive early this coming week (Tuesday?).

@Gaurav: We'll eventually add competition editing, and when that happens you should be able to do what you asked for.

    @Bashy345: Not really mate.

@AdrenalinVL: In theory the one who hosts the save might be able to use FMSE, but in general we don't want to support editing for network saves so it's uncharted waters really.
  • Gaurav's avatar
is it possible to remove the brexit rule with this?
  • Bashy345's avatar
Can this be used in an online game when I am not the host of the save?
  • AdrenalinVL's avatar
My Friend does use FMSE 17 too, but when I start the online game, he can load the data base but there are 0 players. The countries and the clubs are loaded but there are 0 players loaded. Is that normal because of the online career? But why does FMSE load the nations and clubs but no players?
  • Stam's avatar
@mcswifty: My guess would be it's related to board's expectations, but I'm sure thanoulas would have a more accurate answer.

@Kieran: No, at least not yet.

@Radiusscorpion: Do you have FM17 open with your save loaded in it? If yes, do you have the latest stable version 17.3.1 or have you opted for public beta versions?

@AIM23: If your Windows is 64-bit, then FM has to be 64-bit as well. How did you check that the FM process is executed in 32-bit?
  • KieranMCFC17's avatar
hi is there a way or going to be a way of seeing the potential attributes on a player?
  • Radiusscorpion's avatar
Hi, sorry I have a problem with this program, when I try to do load game I get a written notification "FAILED TO LOAD FOOTBALL MENAGER DATE: COULD NOT FIND A COMPATIBLE FOOTBAL MENAGER VERSION". What should I do?
  • AIM23's avatar
    @Stam, a new question.
I have Win10 64 bits, but the process of FM is executed in 32 bits. I don't understand why. Maybe it's that I'm missing something to run the game in 64bit?
Maybe if I can use the editor, but for some reason, windows runs my FM in 32 bits. Why?

    Thanks.

In the FMSE, you can edit in team, something named "Youth Importance" - what is that?
  • Stam's avatar
@JoaoNeveSevenN7: Changing club names is not currently possible. You could accomplish that using simple text files (.lnc); have a look at FM17 real names fix.

@AdrenalinVL: Not sure I understand what you're trying to do. You need to register your license in order to activate the In-Game Assistant.

@fmsharky: You need to have FM17 open with your game loaded. You can't load the saved game file directly on FMSE.

@Foxhound: Thanks for your support! We'll keep adding more features to FMSE.

@AdamAkihihara: I've answered your forum post.
  • JoaoNeveSevenN7's avatar
I just want to change the club names, can I do it without using the paid version?
  • AdrenalinVL's avatar
Iam using the FMSE 17 with purchased license... What folder do I have to locate to get the In Game Hidden attributes etc?
  • fmsharky's avatar
is the fmse17 save game compatible?
  • Foxhound's avatar
Best 4.99 (£5.99 with vat) ever spent. Amazing software! Thanks for your hard work and development, look forward to more updates :)
  • AdamAkihihara's avatar
Hi i just bought the licence and it registered but i still cant access editing team nicknames and abbreviation and when i change the city it crashes the app. as the well changes do not work when the game is saved
  • Stam's avatar
@AIM23: It's very likely we'll roll out a 32-bit version before FM18. I understand it's late for FM17, but we couldn't start this project earlier. We'll keep improving FMSE throughout the summer, and hopefully this editor will be a worthy choice for everyone once the next FM season kicks off. Thanks for your interest :)
  • AIM23's avatar
I hope for the next editor on FM18, think about the 32bit versions.
Since in May, I'm about to finish the season ... And with a summer ahead .... I do not see any sense buying this Editor. If I came to know, I bought the original, which at least did think in both versions.
You will have a great editor, but only for those who can get it.
    Very bad.
