So - to start of with, this is clearly a 4-2-3-1.
The main style of the tactic is higher possession based football with high tempo passing. Lampard also likes higher pressing which allows the fullbacks to get higher up the pitch whilst the press is underway.
They mainly play down the wings, but occasionally use the central areas (4-3-3 tactic is coming). Wings backs are important due to them going up and down the flank.
Tammy would be the AF, controlling the long balls that Kepa / Mendy plays to him.
Havertz usually drifts wide to the one side where the ball is as a no.10, drawing in players which leaves the left hand side vulnerable. And vice versa.
Defensively the tactic is very sound - with the 2 wingers dropping back next to Kante and Kovacic, with Havertz moving into a 9. Which creates a sound 4-4-2 whilst defending.
Opposition instruction left to assistant.
Mentality is usually positive - but, you can keep it on attacking if you’d like (if not creating enough). Both work well.
