Win trophies

Written by TVDLC123

Winning trophies can be one of the main sources of income for both small and large clubs, and there are several ways that this can help out a club. Firstly, the most obvious way, is due to prize money. Prize money can be a great source of funding for lower league clubs, and even a smaller cup run can be a great boost to the bank, and it can help out the squad massively in the long run. This way, without even winning the trophy, but by just getting to the next round you are receiving a massive boost. For larger clubs, prize money might not be that helpful, as it seems to barely add anything to their balance. However, continental competitions can be a great help, as they give a club a lot of money for getting to the latter stages.

Next, winning the league/cup, whilst exceeding your season expectations can help out a club in terms of adding to their transfer budget. This is because the board will be more inclined to change your expectations and give you a higher transfer and wage budget, if you have exceeded or are exceeding your original season expectations. This can help a club develop and continue to grow, and keep up with their competition, even if the club isn’t extremely rich.

Winning trophies can also have consequences which do not directly increase the bank balance, but they result in it. For example, winning a trophy will increase the club’s reputation and this could lead to more merchandising eg selling shirts etc, which is a major factor in most clubs and more importantly, can increase the amount of season tickets and fans the clubs gets, which is where most of many clubs income comes from.

Also, it can help you attract better players to the club, who can help you win more trophies, and keep the cycle going. It also increases the reputation and value of the players in the team, and this makes them more profitable, if you want to sell them, but also, increases the amount of sponsorship money the club gets in, as having better players, makes the club more marketable and makes it a more lucrative investment for sponsors.

So, all in all, winning trophies is one of the best ways of increasing the amount of profit a club receives, not just because of the primary links such as prize money, but also, it links to all of the other key factors which are instrumental in increasing your profit.

Since manager cannot do nothing with his salary it is financially profitable to accept lowest possible salary. This way money saved goes back to budget.
