Kik Pierie - 17 years old - CB (Can also play left back) - In the last two seasons, Mathis De Ligt got all the headlines for being a quality, young, Dutch CB, but somebody you may have never heard of is Kik Pierie. To play 30+ games in any league for any player is an achievement, but for a 17 year old to do it is another, Pierie has showed class defensively, but also has a decent touch. As long as SI/FM recognise this, he's pretty much guaranteed to be good in FM19.
Dario Maresic - 18 years old - CB - Maresic impressed in the Austrian top division this season, playing 3000 minutes of first team football. The modern centre half is supposed to be able to play the ball about and have a certain level of composure, which Maresic doesn't possess in abundance, but he is a better defender than any teenager you will see, already looking experienced with anticipation and positioning on the pitch, as well as good defensive technique and is good in the air, despite only being 183cm.
Lucas Leiva - 31 years old - Defensive Midfielder - Yes, you read that correctly, Lucas Leiva played an astonishing 2017/18, playing over 4000 minutes in all competitions, scoring four goals and assisting a further 7. The Lazio stars in Midfield were Sergej Milinkovic Savic and Luis Alberto, but some of their performances have been helped by the man in midfield who you probably thought was past it. He may not develop any further, but is bound to gain some large stat boosts and will probably fit into any team. The reason he is on this list is because of his price, Lucas will most likely be very cheap, and plays in a position that many struggle to fill effectively when managing teams such as Arsenal or Internazionale now Kondogbia has gone.
Amine Harit - 20 years old - right midfilder/winger - He only got 3 goals and 7 assists this season, so Harit's statistics don't look amazing, but he is probably the most gifted player on this list. Skills emulative of Neymar, as well as good passing and dribbling ability, I personally believe he has everything it takes to make it to the top. One thing in particular that is exciting, is his acceleration, he is astonishingly quick off the mark, and frequently leaves defenders several yards behind after a quick turn into space. One of the most important things to note, is that although Harit represented France for four years all the way up to the u21s last September, Amine has chosen to play for Morocco, and is on the plane to Russia in June. This could be a great opportunity to show the world what he can do and increase his ratings for FM19 even more.
Thanks for reading, some feedback would be appreciated. If you liked it, I'll do another, with 10.
