Since 2011 advertising revenue has usually been enough to cover the running costs of the site, despite using very few ads per page (normally just 1 or 2).
Selling FM has been the main funding source that worked two-fold; as my part-time salary as well as my investment budget for all the new features I'd implement each year.
However, I'm now facing major financial trouble and this time of the year there are literally no sales to help my situation. As a result I'm forced to allow more ads on the site, short term. The plan is to keep the extra ad units just for this summer.
I'd like to apologize in advance for the inconvenience this might cause you and promise to bring back user experience as a priority again come September.
