Hi stam, I'm from Việt Nam and I will translate Genie Scout to Vietnamese. But there is one problem here, you said: FONT_NAME, FONT_SIZE and FONT_CHARSET shouldn't be changed.

First: with FONT_CHARSET = 255 as default it is really hard to read.
Second: in our language, example: "Cancel" we said "Hủy bỏ" or "Filter" we said "Lọc". Then the FONT_CHARSET = 255 made it wrong. Instead of "Hủy bỏ" and "Lọc" it show "H.y b" and "Lo" only.

So I change to FONT_CHARSET = 0, it become easier to read and also fix the bug about font. Is this OK

Any suggestions how we should handle translations of a single language by multiple translators?

An idea is to assign it to the first who declared interest on this thread. Another idea is to let everyone interested to work on it and the first to finish it will get the "g" version... this would be a little unfair for the effort others may have put into translation by that time though. You could also have a chat between you and decide who's gonna make it. In case you want to work together, I guess that should work too... maybe 1st person doing half the translation and the 2nd doing the other half. I'm not sure there should be more than 2 translators on a single language.

Your thoughts please?

it seems there are a few people willing to help translate to the Portuguese language, but if is still needed one more im here to help

I think it would be best to let them work together, as it is quite a lot of work and splitting it up would save time.

I think the first one who declared himself should get it since other ways will just be unfair.This one is kinda unfair either by not giving others the opportunity to win the "g" version.

@stam - for languages like i've declared at my last post,if I'm the only one and the first to declare it,may I do it ?

When I recieve the language file i can start and finish it as soon as possible.

I think first to say should do it. If there are more people interested for the same language, there can be a 2nd translator assigned to split the work because it's indeed a lot of work.

I'll update the first post during the next hour with languages that need updating, new languages that have been declared and the ones we should have but we don't.
