Rochdale AFC: Breakdown of Transfer Targets + 2015/16 Kits

Rochdale AFC's Justin Credible has a number of summer transfer targets written down on his shortlist, but which of those actually seem like they'd happen? Justin Credible has led Rochdale to back-to-back title victories in two different divisions and he himself has claimed that swift squad transitions are the key to winning the titles. This means that he prefers to change his squad very quickly in order to fit in with the current league that Rochdale are in, and now they are in the Championship. Here are the signings that Rochdale want to sign this summer:

1. Cristian Ceballos

Cristian Ceballos is currently a free-agent and is a former Tottenham Hotspur player. He was ultimately released from his contract and joined Bristol City last season, where again he failed to shine. However, Justin Credible has given his career a lifeline and has reportedly offered Ceballos a contract. Cristian Ceballos plays as an attacking midfielder and can also be very effective on the wings which is perfect for Rochdale as Esteban Lopez and Yven Moyo could be on the way out due to being injury prone.

2. Mark McGuigan

Mark McGuigan currently plays for Hamilton Academical in the Scottish Championship. He primarily plays as a central defender and would be a perfect fit into Credible's Rochdale due the lack of depth needed for the Championship. With central defender Maksimenko looking to be on the way out of Rochdale anytime soon, Credible will need to bring in a long-term replacement for the 24 year old, and McGuigan would be the perfect fit. He could be available for around £50k should Credible choose to place a bid.

3. Koby Arthur

Koby Arthur is a name well known to many fans across England and Ghana. He is a former Birmingham player and was surprisingly released from his contract at the end of last season. He is a striker, but can also be deployed on the right-wing. Close sources to Credible and Rochdale have already suggested that Credible himself drove to Arthur's Birmingham house to offer him a contract and others have said that Arthur admires Justin Credible a lot. This deal is very likely to happen and expect Arthur to be a Rochdale Championship star in the coming few weeks.

4. Marcos Painter

After narrowly missing out on the Irish left-back last summer, Justin Credible looks to relaunch a bid for the wantaway 28-year old who is unhappy at Partick Thistle. Rochdale's left back Michael Rose left the club due to the expiration of his contract and Credible needs to draft a replacement as soon as possible. With Domenico Bronzi not developing quickly enough, Marcos Painter will be the perfect addition to the squad.

The Kits

Here are the new kits that Rochdale will be wearing this season:

HOME:

AWAY:

These kits are a direct tribute to Giuseppe Bergomi's Inter Milan squad as Rochdale share the same colours as Inter and Justin Credible shares almost the same ambitious mentality as Bergomi.

Thanks to Neal Hasan for making these kits for me :)

As for the friendlies, Rochdale will play the following teams, with one of them being at home:

Lovely kits ;)
Nice kits from Neal there :)
Thanks to AlexTHFC for making me this banner:

Cheers man! :D
@Neal and @Louis: Yup, I wonder who this Neal kid is... :P

July Update

This season, I finally managed to pick prestigious players up instead of unknown ones and this time, I actually got lucky:

Transfers

IN

OUT

I sold a few players to balance the books from these transfers. Sven-Goran Eriksson, who is the manager of Jiangsu, bought Tyias Browning who I intended to keep for this season and rejected two other bids from Jiangsu. However, they managed to part with my asking price and off he went. Spotland flop Ryan Noble also departed to Dundee for a sizeable fee of £125k due to increased competition.

We did very well in our friendlies (apart from the loss):

These are the fixtures for August. We open up shop in the Sky Bet Championship against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Spotland.

Rochdale Announce Squad Numbers

Here is the complete squad list:

Awesome update Tahir, Ioannou was a great signing! Good pre-season too, I predict a good season for Rochdale! :D
Haha, those kits! :P
Awesome updates :)
Good luck for the season ahead!
brilliant update, liked the way the you showed the squad with the name and number on the shirts;p
@TheMadridista: Thanks a lot buddy! Despite going for back-to-back title victories, I'm gonna aim for promotion again this season but I doubt we can win the title :D

@Louis: Awesome right? ;)

@PompeyBlue: Thanks mate, I hope I can have an unbeaten season like you did, I usually fail in the first few games which ruins the first month or so :P

@TCO: Why thank you TCO! :)
