OUT![]()
I loaned out
Santangelo and two others so they could find more game-time, and so that Santangelo can maintain his position in the Iranian squad as
first-choice goalkeeper.
Andrew Tutte,
Bersant Celina and
Luke O'Neill left the club on
free transfers, the first two because they were
surplus to requirements and O'Neill because
he's a prick he signed a pre-contract deal with
Rangers and declined our offer, unfortunately.
Tom Lawrence's position at the club was beaten by
Jeremie Boga, but that's how football is so he had to leave the club to save his career and I think we did really well to get
£80k from Ross County for him.
Transfer targets for this summer...
1. Larnell Cole
Since our main midfielders have been unavailable due to various reasons, I'm looking to chop and change. The arrival of young talent would be key to strengthening Rochdale in the long-term, and Larnell Cole would be the perfect addition for any team like Rochdale.
2. Toni Gorupec
Our quality at right-back is appalling, I need to strengthen that area since Luke O'Neill left the club.
3. Leonel Herrera
Herrera has been a long term target for Rochdale, we even had numerous transfer bids and contracts accepted for Herrera, but he failed to gain a work permit every time. We've sent in a bid for him, let's hope he can get the work permit this time.
4. Keorapetse Mhlongo
After narrowly missing out on him two seasons ago due to work permit issues, we will try to get him again. This time round however, Mhlongo is a free agent, and if we sign him, he will provide competition for McLoughlin for whom I have doubts over for this season.
5. Dejan Stovanovic
Last season his club would not accept a transfer bid for him, but this time, with our increased budgets, we will try to get him again. He will be a star goalkeeper, and would slot into the squad perfectly.
6. Rafael van der Vaart
A very unrealistic target for Rochdale, van der Vaart has been offered to trial at Spotland as he is a free agent. It would be his wages that would make him unrealistic, but if he demands low wages then he would be a definite purchase... only time can tell.
7. Wellington Silva
This former Arsenal youngster chose not to join us last time round because he needed more wages, but we could well be in for him again this summer as we lack depth up front and he would be perfect for the time being, until Deilson arrives in January.
The Kits
Here are the new kits that Rochdale will be wearing this season:

AWAY:
Dell and Nike both chose to renew their deals with the club again, with Dell extending it for one more year, and Nike for three more seasons.
And more...
As for the friendlies, Rochdale will play the following teams, with one of them being Chelsea:
The board also offered me a massive transfer budget for the upcoming season, most of which will be converted to wage budget:
