Good win by the boys. They looked really up for the Challenger and what not. Baldvinsson was the man of the match with his two goals.

Facing a newly promoted club I expected a win and we did not win. I am very upset here because we were the favorites of the match. Honestly they got lucky.

Good win. I am very pleased and nothing major of note happened other than a two goal game by Finsen.

It was a great start for Stjarnan in the third round of the Bikarkeppni as they look to defend the title. In what would have been billed as a close encounter, Þór Akureyri were embarrassed by Stjarnan due to a 5-0 trouncing. Two goals by Stjarnan veteran Veigar Páll Gunnarsson helped the club get the win.

Young winger Sigmunder Bjarnason gave the stars the lead with a well placed shot in the 19th minute. Later on Gunnarsson doubled Stjarnan's lead with a 23 meter free kick in the 32nd minute. Captain Daniel Laxdal scored with a close range header in the 39th to extend the lead even further. Would we see the same old Stjarnan giving up late goals? Nope because Gunnarsson scored his second of the game in the 52nd minute. Stjarnan would finish scoring in the 86th minute when midfielder Atli Johannsson scored an accurate finish.

Stjarnan are now on to the fourth round and will face 3. deild club Bereserkir on Wednesday 22nd July 2015.

A few days after a 5-0 victory against Þór Akureyri Stjarnan were expected to roll over Fylkir who is one of the worse defensive teams in the league. They put up a good fight on a breezy afternoon to draw 1-1. It wasn't just a good defensive struggle but a very controversial match.

With the game nearing the end it was Viðar Örn Kjartansson a real poacher's from 19 meters thus giving Fylkir the lead in the 87th minute. The Stjarnan sideline were extremely livid over the goal and were starting to panic. The Fylkir fans on the other hand were celebrating like they won. Yet with a few minutes to go things would change.

Stjarnan's equalizer came from Veigar Páll Gunnarsson as he sized on a Fylkir defenders error after tripping Brazilian winger Talles inside the box. This was controversial because it seemed like Talles flopped inside and faked the trip. As soon as the ref called for the penalty the Fylkir players on field rand over and pleader their case. Gunnsrson would score a powerful penalty that would go through the keepers hands. Better late than never for Stjarnan and the fans were clearly delighted with Gunnarsson's impact.
