September 2019
Well, to say the first month of my managerial career was a disappointment would be an understatement. We've been on a horrible run of form, despite a decent start to the season, and the squad don't seem to be generating the chances they need to finish top half this season. Tom Ince, a player I had high hopes for, has provided no assistance on the offense, despite being a lock in the lineup this month. Emmaunual Fernandez, Maninho, and Ante Rebic have been alright, but they don't seem to create many goal scoring opportunities. The team doesn't know how to keep the ball, and several times I've had to resort to a counter-attack style of play to grab a point. The defense has been shaky, Karim Rekik has been alright, but Tonev and D'Amico, who looked so promising, haven't been playing to their ability. However, in my heart, I knew this was going to happen all along. We've made too many changes to experience success already. The players need to gel together before they can play up to the world class level they are capable of. Before we are brilliant, they have to be abysmal.

Analysis
As you can see, it was a dismal month to be a Newcastle United fan. We were extremely lucky to take points away against Norwich and Spurs, although we showed great finishing ability in both of those games. We were in control against Leicester, and I thought things might have take a turn for the better. How wrong I was. We went on a horrific 5 game losing streak that resulted in us being knocked out of the Capital One Cup and dropping 8 places in the league. The low point of the month was the Liverpool game, where we were lucky to get the ball out of our own half. Javier D'Amico was shocking, but I have faith in him, he'll improve, he's too good not too. In the game against Southampton, the scoring was the problem, they scored a quick goal in the 3rd minute, and despite having chances, we were unable to score and in the end had to take down another loss. The game against Man Utd was a little more respectable, as we were one goal away from taking down a point against the former champions, who currently look down on the others from joint first with Man City. However, it was not to be, and the side, whose morale is taking, have lost 5 straight. In October, the games get a little easier, with Stoke, Swansea, West Brom, and Blackburn coming up. Hopefully, we can take points from all of those games, which would catapult us back into the top half.
We're currently in 13th place, 10 points behind 1st place Manchester City and 2 points behind 10th place Swansea
Player of the Month
Our player of the month is the usually mediocre Tom Cleverly, thanks to his spectacular performance against Norwich, which singlehandedly rescued a point for the Magpies. To add to that, his first goal was an absolute corker, a half volley from the top of the box that the keeper couldn't save. Despite having just 2 goals, Cleverly is the Magpies top goal scorer in the Premier League. However, that probably won't last long, considering he was only in the starting lineup against Norwich because Bruno Fernandes, one our star midfielders, picked up a red in the last match of last year's Premier League. Of course, when he got the start against Spurs, he returned to mediocrity was was subbed off at half time.
