Pretty good draw for you there mate! Metalist to go on and win the whole thing.
Francesco Totti - Il Gladiatore di Roma
A legend of the game taking Rome to a new empire. Like Julius Caesar except not as good.
All a bit too easy for Totti but of course once again Neal doing great work with the story writing.

ROMA SIGN DOMENICO BERARDI ON CO-OWNERSHIP
21 year old Italian attacker Domenico Berardi has joined AS Roma for the remainder of the season on a co-ownership deal, with the Giallorossi paying €12 million for their 50% share. Berardi has scored 8 goals so far this season for Sassuolo.
AS Roma have confirmed their first major signing of the January transfer window within just days of it opening, bringing Italian striker Domenico Berardi on a co-ownership deal from Sassuolo. The 21 year old has scored 8 goals in 20 appearances this season in Serie A and is being hailed as one of the Azzurri's best young strikers.
Berardi, who has made an incredible 126 appearances for hometown club Sassuolo at his young age, has played out on the left wing for the Neroverdi this season but has still pitched in with quite a few goals. With the exit of unsettled Scottish striker Jordan Rhodes looming on the horizon, it seems as though Berardi will be a direct replacement and try to fight for a first team place with the likes of Alvaro Morata and Adem Ljajic top.
The signing, which cost Roma €12 million for 50% of the player, continues a recent trend for manager Francesco Totti of bringing in Italian players. In the summer window, Andrea Bertolacci, Andrea Pirlo, Sebastian Giovinco, and Matteo Darmian all joined the Giallorossi as well. The effort to create a stronger domestic feel at the club has certainly worked well, with the team enjoying great success so far this season.
Though Berardi will certainly try to get a first team spot this year, he is very well a signing for the future. There are four other strikers at the club and recently, Totti changed his formation from one with 2 strikers to a new tactic with just 1 striker. Thus, Berardi will certainly be low down the pecking order, at least for now.
"It is a great capture for the club, especially as Domenico is so young," said Francesco Totti at his new man's unveiling. "I think he can be a superstar for the club for many years to come and become one of Italy's best ever strikers, and to have a player with that sort of potential at the club is a major success."
With now a total of five strikers at the club, it seems certain that one will leave. Jordan Rhodes, who joined in the summer but has utterly failed to make an impact or even score a league goal, is heavily linked with a transfer away from the club. Real Sociedad and Southampton seem to be the favorites to land his signature.

What a great signing! Sounds like he's got a role in the future for ya. Never understood co-ownership... how's that work?
squirmy420: Think of this way. Team A has the Player, and Team B wants the player. Team B buys 50% of the player for a certain fee, and the player spends the season at Team B. At the end of the season, both teams blindly bid for the other 50% of the player; whoever bids higher gets the other 50% of the player. I hope that clears it up?

Interesting signing, now that you are finished with Inter it is time to kick Roma into overdrive!
k1rups: Don't worry my friend, with a fellow Italian striker as his manager, Berardi will surely blossom into a world beater

JORDAN RHODES CONFIRMS OLIMPICO EXIT
Having endured a torrid time in Italian football, Scottish striker Jordan Rhodes will be starting afresh in yet another new league, this time making a move to Spain's La Liga with top four side Real Sociedad.
It's been six excruciating months to forget for Jordan Rhodes here in Rome. After scoring 29 goals in the Sky Bet Championship with Blackburn last season, the prolific front man had secured a lucrative €8 million transfer to defending Scudetto champions AS Roma. In preseason, he scored a team-leading 8 goals, filling the fans with hope over his potential.
In his first competitive match as Giallorossi player, Rhodes continued to endear himself to the Olimpico. The Scot scored Roma's first half equalizer en route to a 2-1 victory over hated rivals AC Milan in the Supercoppa Italiana, and things were looking rosy for the new signing.
Ever since then, everything has gone downhill. The 26 year utterly fell out of favor with Francesco Totti as Adem Ljajic and Alvaro Morata hit great form and the boss switched to a one striker system. Rhodes had played just 6 Serie A games for Roma, 4 of them from the bench, and had failed to register even a single goal or assist.
The striker took to social media recently to express his concerns, tweeting about his need to play regular first team football and score goals on a regular basis. Though some experts were suggesting a loan would be in order for the unsettled striker, it is confirmed now that Jordan Rhodes has left the club entirely.
Spanish side Real Sociedad have purchased Rhodes for a fee of €8 million, ensuring that AS Roma had their original fee entirely accounted for. The striker agreed to a €55 thousand per week contract through 2020 and will wear the number 2 shirt at the San Sebastian club. Though many fans were hoping he would return to England, it seems the attacker wants to prove himself on foreign soil.
He has already been replaced by Totti by ex-Sassuolo youngster Domenico Berardi who signed on co-ownership for AS Roma. With his fee accounted for and a highly rated replacement signed, we must sadly report that it looks like nobody will really end up missing Rhodes in Rome after all.

He always seems to score tons in FM, for no reason whatsoever. I blame it for the league he starts in (Champ)
Griffo: Sorry mate, what can I say? You either score goals and stay or get out
Pauker: Yeah he had it easy in the Championship but the Serie A was clearly too much

Silly scots don't know how to play like their purchase price.
