Keegans Notes

So after the amazing month we had last month it was down to these two matches. Fulham and Aston Villa. Fulham was a very unlucky match. We lost 1-0 but could have won by a cricket score! The Villa match however I had to start Mason he had been in my ear all week about wanting to start.

It took Ryan Seager just 4 minutes to open the scoring for Villa, looking to finish 5th, which would be there highest finish since the start of the Premier League 22 years ago. But we had other idea's especially Mason. He was not happy with the way that Villa dumped him and when he scored a scruffy headed goal from a corner we were level. Not for long as Seager then scored Villa's 2nd goal from a penalty. Gadjski though, who has arguably been our best player all season scored a delightful worked move with Bennett key again. I told them at half time to knuckle down and we could win this. We did but with time running out it was Bennett who had the last say. He chested a drilled ball by Pingoto and hit a sweet crisp delightful volley into the bottom left hand corner and we had the win 3-2!!

I would say this season has been a success we claimed 9th place, a top half finish and I will be aiming for 8th or higher next season. I have a couple of transfer targets in mind and will announce a couple of signings soon.

Lewis King has claimed 3rd place in the young player of the year voted for by the players. e has been a rock in our defence all season and he was understandably happy. 'Yes!! I am so thankful to my manager Kevin and I can not wait to improve for next season.'

Hatib claimed 3rd in the Goal Of The Season Award, any of his could have got in because he only scores cracking goals. This one he skinned a couple of defenders before smashing the ball home.

Damir has made the Premier League Team Of The Year and he thoroughly deserves it as he scored 17 goal from attacking midfield this season. I think he will be an awesome player for next 4 or 5 years for Forest I HOPE!

Thanks to breaking U.S.A shirt sales have rocketed and it is the two Portugese and 3 Croatian players that have sold the most shirts with Cirjak and Gadjski selling the most followed by Zulu, Rebic and Pingoto. These are important players for us when we tour Brazil and Chine this pre season.

Gadjski also got voted Fans Player Of The Year. 'I would like to thank my fans for voting me and I will not be moving while the club is moving forward. I love Forest and my manager.'
Fan Spokeswoman Kristina Mercliff said 'Damir makes Forest who they are and I hope he will be named captain for next season.'

I had just taken a phone call from my chairman and it was to tell me that an offer had just been made for a player I think the world of. This player is a central defender and he has left it up to me, I have had a £21,000,000 bid made by Athletico Madrid for Argentine defender Renzo Biondi. Renzo has had an amazing season but I made the difficult phone call to say we had accepted an offer for you from Athletico. His reaction was shock but understood that when you sign for someone for £3,300,000 it is a huge profit and I also have someone lined up as a replacement.

Biondi 24, broke into the Argentina quad while at Forest and also made the Nottingham Forest Team Of The Season made 40 appearances over two seasons scoring 3 goals after signing from Monaco for £3,100,000. The fans are saddened but can understand why such a big foreign offer was accepted and understand that I made sure he was not sold to a premiership club.

Also out is Jean-Jacques Duquesnoy. The Frenchman 24 was signed on a free transfer from Lille but only made 3 appearances in 2 seasons. This is not because he is a bad player but because unfortunately we just had better players so it was a lot easier for him to move to a club that would play him so then Hertha bid £3,700,000 and I accepted and told Jean that he should not rule out playing for us again because he is a class act.

Ante Rebic has attracted the interest of German Giants Bayern Munich and they made an enquiry in which it was swiftly knocked back.

I can tell you that the 23 year old is NOT for sale at any price!

Transfers In


I have started my transfer business too and signed two players. Hernan Rodriguez has signed a 5 year contract worth £42,500 a week. He signs for £9,500,000 and is most probably more familiar to football fans in Spain than in England and was signed from Real Zaragoza.

Rodriguez started his career at Estudiantes in December 2014, breaking into the first team there in 2017, he went on to make 24 league appearances and scored 7 goals. In August 2020 the Striker joined San Lorenzo for £1,300,000 and made 21 league appearances, scoring 10 goals. During his time with Argentina, Rodriguez's team lifted the South american under 20 championship in 2021 and won the under 20 World Cup in 2021.

Rodriguez's spell at San Lorenzo did not last long and in July 2021 he joined Real Zaragoza for £1,600,000, making 89 league appearances and scoring 16 goals in 3 years. He then signed for Forest for £9,500,000.

I also have signed a replacement for Renzo Biondi in 23 year old Darragh Flynn for £7,500,000 with a possible £2,000,000 in add ons for the former Swansea man.

Flynn is a well-known name to many fans across Europe. He made his Ireland debut against Armenia in October 2020, he has gone on to make 13 appearances for his country. Darragh is a new signing at The City Ground when he joined them from Npower Championship team Swansea.

Flynn began his career at Everton A.F.C.(IRL) in December 2013 but failed to make a league Appearance during his 5 years at the club. In January 2018 he joined Swansea City, making 108 league appearances and scoring 1 goal. During this time he also spent time on loan at Hibs, Kilmarnock, Huddersfield Town and Sheffield United, making a combined total of 57 league appearances.

Departures and Signings

I have been busy again getting some more player out of the club. The first one out is Patrick Hooiveld. Patrick was bought by Forest for £12,000,000 but failed to impress and made just 5 apearances.

Hooiveld came in and I thought he was going to be great, he was Liverpool's only bright spark in the season they got relegated but to be honest he was utter shit and I was glad to sell him for £2,400,000 to Celta in Spain.

Next out is 30 year old Marco Banassi. The Italian has moved to Watford for £1,300,000, only made 25 appearances for us but was so disappointing.

Banassi has 31 italian caps to his name but flattered to decive at The City Ground so has moved on and I wish him well.

Finally Oddgar Nygard has moved on loan to Sunderland. This is to give him some playing time to aid his development and Sunderland is perfect because they are struggling for attacking players and he would fit in perfectly for them.

Sunderland fans are understood to be pleased to get an exciting young talent on loan for a season.

Transfers In

Now I sold Patrick Hooiveld for a reason because I had a replacement lined up and I think this is one of the best signings I have ever made. Transfer listed Agustin Allione has joined from Manchester City on loan and we only have to pay half of his salary. We also have a £11,000,000 buy clause at any time inserted into the deal. So who is this 29 year old Argentine international?

Well Agustin Allione is truly one of world football's global superstars. Having made his Argentina debut in 2018 against U.S.A, he has gone on to make 18 apearances and scored 5 goals for his country.

Allione started his career at Velez Sarsfield in 2010/11 season, breaking into the first team in 2011, he made 60 appearances and scored 14 goals for the club. Allione's El Fortin side lifted the Primera Division A in 2012 and that opened up a move two years late to Spanish giants Barcelona! But after the move in January 2014 he failed to make an appearance for the club and in 2017 Agustin moved to Cruzeiro EC, where he made 30 league appearances and scored 9 goals. His team lifted the South America Recopa in 2017 but his spell didn't last long at Cruzeiro and in June of 2018 he joined Monaco in France for a reported £14,000,000 and made 105 appearances for the club in 4 years and scored 16 goals. While at Monaco he lifted the Coupe De La Ligue in 2019 and 2020, won the French Champions Trophy in 2019 and 2020 then also won the Ligue 1 title in 2019 and 2020 also. But his value dropped and in 2022 he joined Manchester City for £2,800,000 where he has made 51 appearances and scored an incredible 20 goals which results in 2024 lifting the Premier League Title. He has however fell out of favour and moved to Forest on loan with a view to a permanent deal.

I am ecstatic about this signing and he knows he is not guaranteed first team football I think he will be very good indeed. He is a former runner up in the World Player Of The Year and the fans think I have done awesome.
