TV Rights

After Sky went bust the TV rights went up for sale. There were 5 packages up for grabs and Channel 5 took 1 of them the 3rd band of games. ITV sport took band 4. Both Channels were very happy with there purchases. 'We are very happy to get these 31 matches and look forward to broadcasting them' Said Channel 5 boss Rwanjkinder Seresh.

Channel 5 have took band 3

Band 1 and 2 went to Eurosport, which if you couple them with the Rugby, Formula 1 and all four Grand Slam's of tennis, makes Eurosport one of the most sought after Channels.

Eurosport have now got a lot of Sport on TV

Band 5 went to BT Sport and they were pleased with this because they also bagged the League Cup matches and the Champion's League matches on top.

BT Sport have won awards for years with there Coverage

The F.A Cup is to be shared between, Channel 5, Eurosport and ITV. The England Home Matches will continue to be broadcasted on the BBC with the Away matches on Channel 5.

Well, well, well what an awful start to the month we had this month, as usual. We played Norwich in-front of the Channel 5 camera's after Sky went bust (its 2023 anything can happen) but we have this silly mentality of starting slowly and I think it is something that we need to sort out and quick. All Credit to Norwich though because they look awesome and Luis Suarez is playing a blinder for the East Coast club. Antonio equalised in the 23rd minute but we are just not great at keeping the lead and we lost.

The next match was another away game against Middlesbrough and they were 2-0 up by half time and I went fucking bezerk. I ripped into Charlie and Damir especially for being awful! Ante though was superb all match and he got his goal he deserved. I think we have the basis of something amazing. The new signings look good. Zulu is struggling to settle in but he is a player of top quality. Each match I have given Gabriele a chance and he has looked good so in the Newcastle match I told Damir I would play himself and Gabriele upfront. It did not help that Vidal missed a 2nd minute penalty

Newcastle took the lead early in the first half and we hit the woodwork before there 14th minute opener but we were decent and I told them that at half time. Gabriele and Damir were working great together though and on the 81st minute the super quick Ghedin won a freekick on the edge of the area in which Damir scored. Then just when I thought it was going to be a draw Rebic played it through to Gajski and he secured the points for us and a priceless win it was too.

The Capital One Cup was a good match too. Millwall who have been very good this season in the Npower Championship took the lead on the 15th minute as we gave away yet another penalty but this time we hit back quick. Gabriele who was alongside Neil Bowers this time interchanged well with each other and he made it 1-1. Ghedin who I have been super impressed with early this season then scored just after half time. He skinned 4 players before smashed home off the post to make it 2-1 and a Forth round tie with Bolton.

League Table

We are in 12th place at the moment and yes I am more than happy with the way things are going. I do not expect to make transfers now really until the end of next season. I hope we can really push on now. Chelsea have started poorly too.

League Table
Unique (and interesting) part about the TV rights :)
An OK month but hopefully your form will start to pick up soon and you can push up into the top half of the table!
Pompey Yeah I am going to be posting which tv channel the matches will be on
Solid start to the season, perhaps if you hit a good run of form a top half finish isn't out of the question! :)
Neal I am going for Europa League qualification we have been predicted 6th by the media
You're doing far better than the last season!

Keegans Notes

Damn what a weird month. We crashed out of the Capital One Cup, lost to Manchester united but beat Chelsea 5-1!!

First up was Blackburn and we were live on Eurosport for this clash. I told the guys before the match that we need to stop giving away early goals. However it was like it had fallen on deaf ears as we were 3-0 down at half time. I mean credit must go to Rovers but we were diabolical and deserved to be 3-0 down. We did perform better in the second half and ended up getting one back through second half sub Damir. At full time I told them with Spurs coming up next we had better improve.

Improve we did! I played a 4-1-3-1-1 formation with Danny Welbeck upfront and he was amazing all match as were we for once. Pingoto was running rings around the spurs team all match and just after half time in my opinion we put together our best ever move under my leadership. Pingoto played a fantastic cross-field ball over to Ante Rebic who drilled in a cross from 35 yards out for Welbeck to bring down the ball and turn a defender to pretty much pass the ball into the net. We were absolutely brilliant in defence and held on for a famous victory. All of this infront of the Channel 5 cameras.

Eurosport then were at The City Ground for the match with Chelsea, and on the back of the 1-0 win at New White Hart Lane I thought that we could beat Chelsea and we actually started well. Damir Gadjski set Ante Rebic up on the 23rd minute, when he bought the ball down and volleyed into the top corner. On the 40th minute though Rebic did it all by himself. He picked the ball up from a Chelsea corner and ran with it skinning 4 defenders and then chipped the keeper. It was one hell of a effort and fantastic. After half time I told them to keep it up, Chelsea scored through Oscar but we then went down the other end and Pingoto picked up a stray back pass and he scored to make it 3-1. Gadjski and Bale also scored to mean we picked up an amazing 5-1 victory. We were buzzing and I am very happy with my team.

Forest players celebrate winning against Chelsea

On BT Sport though we lost to Manchester United, we were horrid but we are all entitled to one of them matches.

Then we made the trip to Bolton, now I was feeling it here. We had looked good this month and Ghedin had played well in the Cup for me. But as usual we could not start well and Bolton, who are doing OK this season in the Championship went 1-0 up. We pressed and pressed but could not get through the defence. I grilled them yet again at half time and it worked. I bought Gareth on and he scored in the 70th minute, when he hit a free kick into the top right hand corner. We had the better of the second half anyway. But on the 92nd minute we gave away a goal. It was an awful goal to give away and it meant we crashed and burned.

Good Month for Forest

So we are sitting 12th at the moment, Aston Villa are the shock team leading the way. Reading are still not doing to badly.

I think to sum up this month is that my players are working very well together and I can see it only getting better!
Two big wins v Chelsea and Spurs :) Well done
Great updates. Massive win vs Chelsea/ Also the tv rights thing was cool too.
Paddy Thanks they were huge victories

Bayern Thanks and yes the TV rights are interesting

Keegans Notes

Well, that month basically blew! We only had 3 matches so the players who were not in international action where meant to be going to Spain as part of team building but after the defeat to West Brom on ITV Sport and the loss to Stoke I frigging cancelled it.

Why the hell should I bust my ass to give them so called players a good time if they are not going ot entertain the fucking fans. They were on our back when we played West Brom and Cardiff but for different reasons.

I was full of optimism for the West Brom match up. Gajski was just finding form again, Welbeck was happy to be here and had also scored against Spurs so was in a good place but it was useless, the whole performance was useless and I completely lost it at full time and I stormed onto the pitch with a microphone and captain Charlie Austin and made him say sorry to the fans.

I told the fans he was playing the most awful football of all time and that he really should have been subbed, only reason he was not was that everyone else was completely awful too.

Just 6 days later and yes an even worse performance than the rubbish we played against West Brom. After 34 minutes we were Two behind and looking past it. It was not a good firs thalf and I swore at them and kicked things against the wall and told them to go out and win the second half. We didn't though because Gadjski's 16th minute goal was not good enough. That is when I told them to forget about the trip to Barcelona and I made them train with the youngsters!

It worked as the match against Cardiff on the 25th when we were able to keep a clean sheet. Portugese playmaker Zulu ran the show and we really did everything but score. I was immensely proud of my guys and I told them so too. Cardiff manager Malky McCay complimented us and said that we played Cardiff off the park.

I have implemented a new harsher training regime too and the players might not like it but I think it is most definitely going to work. If it doesn't I think i will be for the chop.

Austin speaks out to the press

Charlie Austin spoke to the press today too and they asked him if he liked what I did to him at the West Brom match. 'Oh My God no ofcourse not' said Charlie 'I deserved it and I was not happy at having to do it but sometimes WE have to take the blame when it is actually our fault.

Well we are 14th but look how tight it is and would you really expect Villa to be top of the tree?

I am still happy with my team and the way we are playing. Forget this month they will improve I am sure of it.
Your not doing too well at the moment but hopefully you can start to turn the results around and get up the table :)
Pompey Yeah the results are coming I am feeling it in my bones
Hopefully the new training regime can turn around your recent form!
TVD You are about to see a vast improvement
