Keegans Notes

You know what despite a horrid loss at the end of the month I am happy that we won 3 and lost 1. I want to talk about the Capital One Cup first. We played a Leeds United team that had had a solid start to there Premier League season. I rested Allione and Gajski and played Kinteh and Correa.

We got off to a good start and on 15 minutes took the lead through Angel Correa. the new signing picked up the ball and played a one two with Hatib which left him one on one with the keeper and a little chip sent the fans into raptures. It stayed that way until half time but Ante and Zulu hit the bar twice. I told the team we have a chance of this competition and to finish Leeds off. We did but it was not until the 86th minute when an angled drive into the top corner made it 2-0 and we had sealed it. There was time for youngster Scott Agbonlahor, Brother of Villa Icon Gabby scored an own goal to mean we won 3-0.

The first Premier League match of the month was against Blackburn and we gave another good account of ourselves. We took the lead in the 11th minute from another corner when Vaclav Zajicek rose highest to make it 1-0 but Blackburn fought back and hit the post twice before half time. I told the guys if we was not careful we would get caught out and we did on the 49th minute when Jordan Ayew beat the offside trap to make it 1-1. Blackburn were only level for 2 minutes when Angel Correa latched onto a loose back-pass to score past the helpless experienced Frenchman Steve Mandanda. It was a classic Angel goal. It was 3-1 on 57 minutes when substitute Hernan Rodriguez got a ball from Allione and he smashed it home. Ayew got a 89th minute consolation goal but we held on for a 3-2 victory.

Next were Norwich who have proved a bogey team for us although w had won the last 2 of the three meetings. this saw a 25 yard screaming goal! Adam Smith picked up a loose clearance from a corner to unleash this amazing volley which the goalkeeper never even moved. It was only his second goal in get this EIGHT years. His last strike cam for west brom against Forest 3 years ago. Well when Smith scores you expect others to score too and they did Tin Jedvaj, record signing claimed a headed goal from a corner. At half time I challenged them to get one more goal and my other big time signing Allione got it and we were 3-0 up! They did get a consolation goal through Max Marlowe but we were flying to another sweet, sweet victory.

I want to forget the Newcastle match though live on ITV Sport because we did not turn up and my team was tired. Allione was disappointing but we have no excuse. Ehrut, Lunstram and Jackson all scored for the Magpies but we need to improve on that if we are going to challenge for Europe this season.

League Table

Arsenal top with Southampton doing well too, Newcastle are up there, we are 10th and still in touch with the top teams. Barnsley have slipped down but Liverpool are awful and I would not be surprised if they go down again.

Other news and Crystal Palace are bottom of League 2 so I might have to activate the Conference next season I want to see how far they slip down.
The results have certainly improved :)
Things are looking good. Keep it up!
Tropnox yeah they have improved and I am happy

Bayern Thanks I hope to keep it up
Lol second goal in EIGHT years and it was banger. Nice results and why are MK dons in the prem?

PS: I don't like MK because AFC Wimbledon is my local club.
Jozef Yeah it was a screamer too :) MK Dons are the yoyo club of the prem league
