Paddy Yes you can when we score 5 though usually we let 4 in. I have a couple of good keepers now though

I thought it was curtains even before the month had started. When Wonderkid Gabriele Ghedin gave us the lead on the 36th minute with a crisp left footed finish. I told them at half time we can win it! But it was not to be when Colin Kyle and Richard Martin hit two second half goals to floor us. Now we did not even play badly but my god were Watford awesome after half time. Whatever was said worked!
We then looked to forget that result seven days later against Leeds. Now we as a club do not have many clean sheets but the day we decided to keep one was a good day. Leeds though playing 5 at the back and 2 defensive midfielders and were very difficult to break down. We had 61% possession and the only chance we managed to thread through was for Damir Gajski who had lost his marker to head home for a 1-0 half time lead. At half time the players looked down but I told them to keep there heads up and to really try to break Leeds down. Leeds however came out to attack and gave a corner away on the 53rd minute. Agustin Allione, who has been amazing since signing for Forest drifted a corner in for Zajicek to head home for a 2-0 win for us and that is a way to banish the Watford result.
Four days later and we were home to Ipswich, who had been solid at home this season but risky and dodgy away. I named a unchanged team even though Jedvaj is out injured. We started like a train, we had sold out our stadium out for this match but we were on the front foot. Cirjak, Gajski and Correa were terrorizing the defence and on the 32nd minute it completely paid off. Allione started the move on our own 16 yard box and between him, Zulu and Correa we put together an amazing 45 passes before a through ball to Gajski who smacked the post, but being the poacher that Antonio is he grabbed the rebound and scored. We then went on to hit the post FIVE times but held on for yet another clean sheet and victory. We are nicely through to the next round of the Capital One Cup which is the Semi Finals against Manchester City. I can smell the first trophy of my reign for Forest.
In amazing form we then went to Stadium MK to take on a Dons side who are struggling in the Premier League and my team was in no mood to let them get something out of the game because on 11 minutes another rare goal from Adam Smith. Smith who had not scored 2 goals in a season ever! This was another 25 yarder that anyone would be proud of hitting. It got even better 2 minutes later when Smith who was obviously still buzzing from his wonder goal sped down the wing infront of the England Manager and delivered a wonder cross for a Cirjak overhead kick for 2-0! The MK Dons were all at sea and wave after wave of Forest attacks were only thwarted by the incredible saves of there keeper Richard Brett but on the 43rd minute even he could not keep out a Gajski free kick. Prince Owusu who now was starting to show form went to ground and the free kick was scored by Gajski! That was half time and I was ecstatic. The second half had barely started when Zulu from about 30 yards out hit a scuffed shot which unfortunately for Brett skidded underneath him and for 4-0. The Dons then missed a penalty and we went up the other end and Gajski made it a fabulous 5-0.
Reading were then dispatched 4-2. They were 2-0 up by 20 minutes but it just focused our attention even more when Correa got one back after 25 minutes with a volley from a Allione cross. I told them at half time we had a shot at the top 4 this season if we could just get back into this and we so did! Prince Owusu scored a wonderful solo goal on 65 minutes when rounding 3 defenders and the keeper to make it 2-2. He then set up Cirjak twice in 5 minutes to make it 4-2 to us marking a wonderful turn around in fortunes and another victory for us.
Then came the best match of the month. West Brom have beaten us before when King scored to make it 1-0 on the 39th minute through another corner, West Brom scored 2 in quick but Prince Owusu scored his second goal in 2 games to level things up. He has been absolutely fantastic since the Leeds game really. At half time I said to the guys if we win this we are going to be as high as FORTH place! We tried and tried and in the 85th minute our play paid off finally! It was an own goal off Nilsson-Guiomar meant we ended the month with 5 wins out of 6 this month!
Chelsea and Arsenal are out infront with Southampton in third place and doing awesome!
We are lying in 4th place and I am not dreaming of the Champions League with this squad of players. Some WILL leave this month and a few will arrive but we will have to wait and see.
Norwich, Leeds and Blackburn are now struggling to keep pace with the rest which is good news for Liverpool who have been poor just not as poor as those three.
We have an amazing EIGHT matches in the month of January including an F.A Cup 3rd round match with Bishop's Stortford and two Capital One Cup matches against Chelsea in the Semi Finals, we actually play Chelsea 3 times this month!

We Are In The Hunt!
Keegans Notes
Well as the title says, we are in the hunt for a Champions League place. I said at the end of last month that we could go unbeaten in December. We did not manage unbeaten but we got very close. If you had told me the end of last month that we would only move up then I would have believed you but not the way we did.

Lets go to the main man at the centre of a four team war for his services and that is Antonio Cirjak. The Croatian Centre Forward has already had 4 offers made for him in December and two of them bids were of £14,000,000 and £16,500,000 and were both rejected by Forest. Manchester United and Chelsea bid £11,000,000 at the beginning of December but were both rejected as out of hand.

So rumours are that A.C Milan and P.S.G are ready to launch bids of over £20m+, Moneybags, Bayern and Monaco also are looking to make a bid but Kevin Keegan really does not want to lose the Croatian player. Surely however every player has there price.
Another player who might depart is Fabio Labbadini to Hamburg on loan.

This would make so much sense for Kevin to send him out to a big club in Germany to aid his development. We will see what happens.
Another guy is Matteo Enrietti who is rated very highly by Keegan.

Enrietti is wanted by Shalke who is really trying to brake into the first team. I think IF he was to leave that he would favour a loan move because Matteo loves the Forest fans.
Finally for a player who might leave is Bolivian midfielder Bisnar Linale with Russian Leaders Dinamo Moscow keen to sign the former Reims man.

They are beleived to be looking to sign him for £5,000,000. This might work for both Forest and Linale himself as he would get mor eplaying time and Forest would make a profit.
So who would Forest like to sign do you think?
Rumours have it that Keegan is preparing an amazing £37,000,000 bid for Manchester City right back Wayne Smith. Smith has been on the fringes of the first team at Eastlands lately.

IF Smith was to sign for Forest it would be an amazing coup for Manager Kevin Keegan. It would also be a good move to buy in a England international and continue to push for the top 4.
The other player we believe is on the radar of Nottingham forest is PSV's Japanese Left Midfielder Kiyoshi Horiguchi. The 28 Year old, who has 99 Japanese caps to his name is believed to be Keegans top transfer target but the price tag of around £20,000,000 could put Keegan off.

The Japanese winger is wanted as cover for Ante Rebic so we expect something to materialize this month.
That is the Rumourmill this January at The City Ground.

Smith is one of football's global superstars and made his England debut while I was in charge against Armenia in March 2021, he has gone on to make 26 appearances for his country. He started his career at Newcastle in June 2010, breaking into this first-team in 2017 and only made 14 appearances. That is because Arsenal came calling and bought him for £12,750,000. He made only 24 appearances for them and scored 2 goals because in February 2021 he joined Manchester City for £17,000,000 and made 61 appearances scoring 4 goals. During his time with England and Man City he won the World Cup in 2022, the Community Sheild in 2024 and the English Premier League title in 2024 too.
Smith's signing proves that Forest mean business.
Wayne Smith Signs
Keegans Notes
Wayne Smith has signed for Nottingham Forest showing the Premier League that they are going to try and stay in the top 4. Smith has cost a Club Record£36,000,000 from Man City who are not happy they have allowed him to leave. I am very pleased with the deal and now only want to make sure we hold on to Centre Forward Antonio Cirjak.Smith is one of football's global superstars and made his England debut while I was in charge against Armenia in March 2021, he has gone on to make 26 appearances for his country. The first game was a blow out and we lost 4-1. Prince Owusu was the only bright spark and grabbed a goal for his trouble. I wanted us to take the bull by the horns and show everyone just hwo good we are but we could not do that.
Following the Man City result we had a routine F.A Cup win against Bishop's Stortford. Goals from Cirjak, Gajski who netted two, Owusu and Rodriguez got on the scoreboard to set up a tie with Ipswich.
The next match was the Capital One Cup Semi Final against Chelsea and I was confident, really confident. The match started and we were utter rubbish. Allione had a nightmare and Man City were 3-0 up by half time! We then kept it to 3-0 after half time but surely the damage has already been done. I completely lost it with my team and told them I would be buying new players and they might be being sold.
They listened and Arsenal with 2 keepers injured struggled against us. Unfortunately Roman Rastoll was not injured and scored a second half hattrick to give us a 3-3 draw. Not bad since they were top. Goals from Allione, Zajicek and Rodriguez meant we got some self belief back.
That changed again when we played Chelsea in the Premier League. They aain scored 2 early goals to give us an uphill battle but we dominated the second half and Pingoto, on as a sub for Allion scored a wonderful volley but it was not enough. The second Leg of the COC went all our way though and went Gajski scored a chip on the 30th minute the fans really got behind us and Correa then hit a second. Then though we hit the woodwork 4 times in the second half and Chelsea held on to claim a 3-2 agg. win and going through to the final.
Then Ipswich came to town and put up an amazing fight in the F.A Cup. Pingoto who started for the first time this season hit the first goal of the match but Ipswich through Lockett equalised just 2 minutes later. I told them at half time we have a packed fixture schedule so you had better pick it up. We did not make a breakthrough and they will take us to a replay and well done to them because they matched us in every way.
We finished off with a match against Blackburn and finally got a much needed win. Antonio Cirjak who had SIX bids made for him and we were able to reject them all. Rook equalised and it was 1-1 at half time. I am very pleased with the guys and told them to make sure they win. Rebic scored a fantastic free kick on 49 minutes when sub Jamie Nightingale won a free kick. Nightingale had played a blinder in the second half and he scored his first goal for Forest on the 73rd minute with a 20 yard screamer worthy of winning the match. They got another on the 90th minute but it was all too late.
You know what we might be 6th but I am still happy and I find it funny I am disappointed to have slipped behind Southampton in 4th. I do have a game in hand which means I could potentially be only 5 points behind. Liverpool and Reading have been dragged into the relegation dogfight.
We have a good month of fixtures here but it does not help that we have this blasted F.A Cup replay too. Southampton is a massive, massive match for us.
Keegans Notes
So after 8 very tiresome games we really needed a good month... But we did not play very well this month at all. This month was going to be either a good month or a bad month.

If he stick with Forest I truly believe he will get it and I am making signings to prove this too and I am using all this Kuwaiti money that is floating around the club.
I did make three signings. The first is my SEVENTH Croatian player in Ivan Bazina, 24 and has signed for £6,500,000. He is well-known across Europe and has done amazingly well to come back from a serious injury.

Bazina started his career in May 2012 at GNK Dinamo. It was not until 2017 he made his first-team debut and went on to make 26 appearances for the club. During his time at GNK he went to Sleven Belupo on loan making 11 appearances. In Ausgust 2023 hi joined Russian Premier League side Krylja Sovetov Samara for £1,300,000 and made 40 appearances scoring 3 goals.
The 2nd of the three deadline day signings is Frenchman Cyrille Bernard.

He signs for £8,500,000 from Belgians Anderlecht and has had a great career to date. He is well known across Europe and started his career at FC Nantes in May 2011. It took him 5 years to break into the first team making a total of 51 appearances. In 2019 he joined Club Brugges and made 40 appearances scoring 2 goals. He also went on loan to En Avant de Guingamp where he made 24 appearances.
In 2023 he then joined Sochaux and made 28 appearances scoring 5 goals and that landed him a £3,800,000 move to Anderlecht where he scored 1 goal in 19 appearances.
The third and final signings is another big one and shows that the club's rich owner will let Me buy big when needed. 25 Year Old American utility player Morgan Thomas has moved to The City Ground for £27,000,000.

Thomas who is well known all over North America and Europe has represented U.S.A 52 times scoring 5 goals.
He started his career at New York Red Bulls in June 2014 where he broke into the first team in 2018 and made 17 appearances and scored 1 goal before in 2018 PSV bought him for £2,300,000 and made 22 appearances again scoring 1 goal. He also went on loan to Viktoria Pizen, FC Twente and CF Monterrey, making a combined total of 41 appearances and scored 2 goals. In 2021 hie joined Zenit in Russia for £9,500,000 and he made 97 appearances and scored 4 goals. During his time with U.S.A and Zenit he won the North American Gold Cup in 2023 and the Russian Premier League in 2023.
I am happy with my signings and I went us to try and grab 4th place but only time will tell.
Deadline Day
Keegans Notes
In an explosive deadline day for Forest, Kevin Keegan lashed out at FC Bayern Munich's chase for Antonio Crijak accusing Manager Leonard Slutskiy of illegally tapping up his striker, who is in amazing form too. Cirjak, who is only 23 has 4 years left on his contract and says that he wants Champions League Football.
