CONTE REVEALS LICHTSTEINER INTEREST

Juventus manager Antonio Conte has revealed that Paris Saint-Germain and AS Monaco are among the clubs interested in Stephan Lichtsteiner.

The Swiss full back was a key element of Juventus’ 2013/2014 Serie A winning side and the likes of PSG and Monaco could be set to battle it out for the 29 year old.

Conte admitted that Ligue 1 champions PSG’s and Monaco’s interest in Lichtsteiner was serious, although it hasn’t come as much of a surprise.

“It’s true that PSG and Monaco are interested in Lichtsteiner, I think they’ll be the first to tell you that. There are also quite a few other clubs in England and Germany interested in him too but nothing quite like PSG and Monaco.

“In all honesty, it’s no surprise that so many teams are looking at him closely. I’d certainly consider him to be among the top full backs in the world right now so it’s only natural he attracts interest from Europe’s elite.”

Conte, who had initially rejected to speak about transfers, is likely to cash in on Lichtsteiner, with both French clubs thought to be preparing to lodge a bid of £12 million.
Nooo! Don't sell him!! :P
I would sell him paddy, you can get a few good players for his value

JUVE DUO LEAVE

Juventus pair Fabio Quagliarella and Mauricio Isla have become the latest players to be deemed surplus to requirements after departing from Turin.

Quagliarella has joined Atletico Madrid for a fee of £3 million after impressing ‘Los Colchoneros’ in his time on loan with the club last season.

The 31 year old had requested a move last season but has had to wait a whole year to get a definitive move after fearing for his first team opportunities.

Quagliarella now signs a three year deal on £68,000 a week for the club he scored 15 goals in 40 appearances in all competitions.

Also on his way out is versatile wide man Mauricio Isla who joins Southampton for a fee of £4 million after an impressive 2014 FIFA World Cup with Chile.

His international displays were not enough to convince Juventus manager Antonio Conte, who prefers to hand the majority of game time to Stephan Lichtsteiner and Martin Caceres.

The Chilean full back, who appeared ten times in all competitions, follows Adrien Silva out of Juventus by signing a four year deal on £54,000 a week with ‘The Saints’.
£7M is a decent profit for those two fringe players, now you've got even more to splurge on a new name or two :)

HOLTBY NEARS WHL EXIT

Juventus are interested in Tottenham Hotspur’s Lewis Holtby as their manager Antonio Conte searches for midfield reinforcements.

The Serie A champions could be willing to pay as much as £6 million for the German midfielder, who has grown unsettled at White Hart Lane since his move from Schalke 04 in 2013.

The 23-year-old arrived in North London for just £1.5 million in January of last year, having played a total of 48 Bundesliga games for Schalke from 2011 to 2013.

He has since starred in just 14 games since his move from Schalke, having seen a January switch back to Gelsenkirchen fail to materialise.

Holtby is thought to be on Spurs’ unwanted list after falling out of favour firstly under Tim Sherwood and then Michael Laudrup, with the chance of a cut-price deal occurring looking likely.
I hope Juve will sell Isla irl as well, deserves to be a starter. Very unlucky with his injuries in Juventus tho, he was amazing in Udinese. :I

UNITED HIJACK LICHTSTEINER MOVE

Manchester United has completed the sensational signing of Juventus right back Stephan Lichtsteiner for a fee of £13 million

The Swiss defender has been closely watched by many top sides across Europe but Man United boss David Moyes moved the quickest to seal a deal with Lichtsteiner.

The arrival of Lichtsteiner means United fans across the globe finally get the right back they so craved for, 12 months after Rafael da Silva moved to Paris Saint-Germain.

The French giant along with AS Monaco looked set to be favourites for his signature after Juventus boss Antonio Conte revealed they were the most intrigued of pursuing clubs.

Lichtsteiner appeared to be set for showdown talks with Juve ahead of a move for AS Monaco but instead signed a £55,000 a week deal with ‘The Red Devils’ until 2018.

The 30-year-old played a total of 24 Serie A games and an additional eight in all competitions en route to Serie A success for the third time in his career.

MONACO SETTLE FOR DE CEGLIE

AS Monaco have completed the signing of Juventus full back Paolo De Ceglie for a substantial fee of £14 million.

De Ceglie agreed a £45,000 a week deal until 2019 shortly after the completion of his medical last night and will join up with the Monaco squad in a few days.

The signing of De Ceglie comes just days after missing out on former Juventus right back Stephan Lichtsteiner to Manchester United.

Monaco, who has been looking for full backs in the market, came close to securing a deal for Lichtsteiner but saw a last minute bid from Man United take the 30-year-old to Old Trafford.

AS Monaco, who’s owned by Russian Billionaire Dmitri Rybolovlev, soon tabled a £14 million bid on De Ceglie which would later be accepted by Juventus.

De Ceglie was one of the more likely players to depart this summer after falling behind the pecking order to Kwadwo Asamoah and Federico Peluso in 2013/2014.

Apart from a spell at Siena, De Ceglie spent all his career at Juve, playing a total of 108 Serie A games for the ‘Bianconeri’ from 2004 to 2014.
You let LICHTSTEINER go...I hope you will bring a top replacement!
