This unexpected, when you do three substitutions at once. After a three minute walk, one of your players injured and could not continue the match.

I am very proud of the players who always try and work hard to make changes. In the semi-finals later, we are ready to entertain the opponent and hoping to wembley.

Players celebrate after Jonathan Hogg opening opening score in the 13th minute.

The Terriers claimed their victory over United in semi-final first leg and thanks to Jonathan Hogg's goal at Old Trafford as the Red Devils first defeat at home in all competitions this season.

Huddersfield will take a slim 1-0 advantage into their Capital One Cup semifinal second leg in The John Smith, after they downed Man United by a single goal at the Old Trafford on Wednesday. Jonathan Hogg's early strike was all the Terriers needed to snatch victory; frustrating their host for the remainder of the match.

However, the visitors managed to blend their defensive sturdiness with some lethal counterattacking, particularly looking to take advantage of Man United weakness down the right. It took just 13 minutes before Dixon sent Oliver Norwood into space down said flank, with the midfielder square pass tapped in at the far post by Hogg.

It was the first of three almost identical chances that Huddersfield created by taking advantage of the defensive weakness of United's right-back Rafael, though fortunately for the visitors, only Hogg had brought his shooting boots. Both Tom Ince and Memphis Depay squandered their chances from pointblank range, with United lucky to just be a goal down at the break.

"It's a good win for us, with the second leg playing at our home" Vega

Huddersfield 0-0 Man United (aggr: 1-0)
United's hopes of playing in the Capital One Cup final as Huddersfield Town held the Red Devils to a goalless draw.

After winning the first leg in Old Trafford 0-1, Adriana Vega's side limited the Premier League champions to a handful of scoring opportunities during the first half and continued to defend well.

Huddersfield started on the front foot, as they did in the first leg in Old Trafford, when they took an early lead, but United were not taken by surprise this time around.

Huddersfield had a great opportunity to take the lead after the break but Depay fired over from promising position. At the other end Arda Turan forced Diego Alves to make a difficult save with a dangerous free-kick from distance. Centre-back Sebastian Coates and Anthony Gerrard were unbeatable in the air as United started to send in more crosses.

Huddersfield will now meet Chelsea in the final on Feb 28 in Wembley.

Terriers lose at Anfield

http://i.xomf.com/fhpxv.jpg
Vaughan can not do much until the second half whistle sounded

The Reds currently rank 14th in the table and have bad performance this season, make some shocking move to have beat Huddersfield side after terriers performance down at anfield lastnight. Leroy Fer make Liverpool lead the match after Koen Casteels misspassing to Paul Dixon and give the reds chance to scoring. Second goal it was from Aspas, who break the defend line by out from offside trap.

As much as Huddersfield huffed and puffed, in truth they rarely appeared capable of blowing down the doors to the Reds defence. All the flicks and tricks that have so thrilled this season came to nothing.

The door is open in the 80th minute, initial air a corner from Oliver Norwood and Will Hughes completed the ball with the half of volley on the right side Simon Mignolet.

Moments later, a corner from Norwood again was met by a combination of Depay and James Vaughan which Skrtel hacked off the line.

Tom Ince, Huddersfield midfielder
It's just disappointing. We expected a lot from this game but going two behind against a team like Liverppol makes things very difficult. We didn't play as well as we did in the prev match.
Our formation was different and we weren't as good tactically. We do not controll the game in and didn't give them many chances.

This is the first defeat since November.

February point, dropped

Derijck sent off in the away match v Tottenham Hotspur

You can debate the red cards which helped swing this game in Tottenham favour until you’re blue in the face. But the effects of the outcome are there in the black and white of the Premier League table.

In the five match of Premier League this month, Huddersfield never get 3 points home or away. They have off-perform in this month, just look in the five match his month Terriers just get 2 points in the pocket. First point was 1-1 v Westbrom and 1-1 v Stoke City in the John Smith Stadium.

Vega, Huddersfield boss
We are disappointed to concede the goal in the manner we did - defending a corner and trying to quickly counter-attack. I think it is fair to say we started the game really well.
It was a difficult pitch for the team in possession. It was forcing you to make the wrong decision and the wrong control.

For those reasons, we dropped many points this month. We have a schedule tight and hard game till the end of the season. I want to endend this poor runs as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, Huddersfield will face Chelsea at Wembley on Sunday for the Capital One Cup final.
