Buttner: I WILL Be Fit

Alexander Buttner, today handed Manchester United a massive confidence boost by declaring he will be fit for the last game of the season against West Ham and the Champions League final.

It is an exceptional effort by the left back to get himself in line for selection so soon after pulling his hamstring. It is thought he will more than likely start the last game of the season only on the bench, with Alhadhur keeping his spot. It is a big match and Chaker has bedded into the back four really, really well so it would foolish to remove him for this match, I expect to be able to bring Alexander on in the second half at some point and if he comes through that, he will start the Champions League final said Manchester United manager Brendan Rodgers.

Buttner has shown great determination to come back from injury and this weekend, United fans are hoping that they win the league and Steven Naismith can become the Premier League's top scorer. Going into the last match of the season he is three goals ahead of his closest rival, Luis Suarez and Sergio Aguero is 7 goals away in third so Suarez would need a blockbuster match to even be level with Naismith at the end of the day.

Premier League Final Day: Judgement Day Preview

The final day of the Premier League is upon us and Sky Sports has coverage of the 4 games that really matter. We are going to be seeing who wins the Premier League, Who gets that all important forth place and Champions League football and who will stay up or go down.

We will go through each match we have live one by one starting with the battle for the title and Chelsea playing away to Aston Villa. This could well be a bogey match for the London side. Villa know that only a win COULD keep them up as they need Sunderland and West Ham ton both lose, or West Ham to lose and Sunderland can draw which would mean that a Villa win would keep them up. There are a lot of permutations but these will only happen IF Villa win.

Chelsea on the other hand have no relegation fears, but are trying to steal the title off Manchester United in the last match. Chelsea MUST win and hope that Manchester United lose for the title to head to London rather than Manchester. This is because Chelsea have the goal difference advantage over United and Mourinho thinks that United could slip up. We have to win, don't we? If we don't United could lose 7-1 and still win the title. We have been the best two teams this season by a long. long way and I want to give Brendan Rodgers credit for the job he has done and I hope they go on to win the Champions League, we will just do what we do best and win, then see how United do.

Prediction: 3-1 Chelsea. We do not think that Villa have enough to beat the drop and this will seal there fate.

Manchester United play West Ham United in yet another top of the table against bottom of the table clash. Manchester United just need a win or a draw to lift the title whereas West Ham need a win to guarantee safety. This match is going to be an epic, West Ham have not won against a Brendan Rodgers United yet and we can not see any way this will happen this time because United really, really want this title so we think that maybe West Ham are going to be struggling to stay in the League.

It is so close now, we just need one point and the title will be ours to go with the Community Shield and the F.A Cup. We will not let this slip now. Chelsea have been amazing this season and we have been way ahead of anyone else but we will not throw it away and I have great faith in this bunch of players said Rodgers.

Prediction: 3-0 United. We just can not see a case for West Ham to win this match and they might be in danger of slipping down into the Championship after 3 season back in the Top Flight.

Sunderland entertain Wigan, a team who have nothing to play for, but Sunderland have everything to play for and this is where we see the relegation fight being decided here because it all depends on which Wigan side turn up. If it is the Wigan side who want to play then Sunderland will get beat but if it is the side who wants to go on holiday then Sunderland have a hell of a chance here.

We think that Sunderland can do this! Yes they have to win and have been in dodgy form of late but when you want something enough you can usually play your way into the game. Wigan have had a fantastic season and will finish either 7th or 8th and I think they will be happy with that.

Prediction: Sunderland to win 2-0 and stay up in the Premier League at West Ham's expense.

The last game we can show live, which will be four of four is Manchester City against Swansea. If Arsenal slip up to Nottingham Forest, who are already relegated then Man City have a chance to claim 4th place and a spot in next season's Champions League. Swansea are another team who have absolutely nothing to play for and this will be to Manchester City's advantage.

We can get 4th place. We need Arsenal to lose, but it is possible and we will win so it is so important that we make sure we are in the seat to profit IF Arsenal choke said Benitez.

Prediction: 4-0 City, but they miss out on the champions League spot.

All Matches are live on Sky Sports 1-4 on Sunday May 17th 2015, where there will be live updates and the league changes as it happens only on Sky Sports.

Premier League: The Final Day Judgement Day

Richard Keys
Paul Merson (Aston Villa vs Chelsea)
Paul Scholes (West Ham vs Man Utd
Matt Le Tissier (Sunderland vs Wigan)
Robbie Savage (Swansea vs Man City)

Hello and welcome to a very special edition of Gillette Soccer Sunday. It is the final day of the season and so much to play for. Who will win the title? Who will stay up and go down? And finally who will get the last Champions League place.

I am very happy to welcome regulars Paul Merson and Matt Le Tissier and also our two guest pundits Robbie savage and Paul Scholes, welcome to all four of you. Now we have four live matches on today but here is the only place where you can keep up to date on all the matches but mainly the big 4 matches.

Paul Merson will be watch Aston Villa against Chelsea and how do you see that going Paul, you have the line ups in too apparently.

PM: Yes Jeff I do and there is a couple of shocks for each side. Jed Steer is in goal with Shay Given on the bench, meaning that Brad Guzan has been dropped completely for this match and Kozak and Agbonlahor are the strikers.

Steer is in for Guzan, who is not even on the bench

Chelsea have dropped Romelu Lukaku to the bench in favour of Victor Fischer and Chris Smalling starts on the right of defence. I think this is going to be closer than the media are making out because Villa want to stay up so if they win, and you know Jeff it is a big if, then it puts the pressure on West Ham and Sunderland.

Thanks Paul, now to the other Paul, Paul Scholes who is watching Man Utd against West Ham today. Have you got the team news in yet Paul?

PS: Thanks Jeff, yes I have and it is a familiar look to the United side, with Naismith and Castillo leading the line. Chaker Alhadhur has kept his left back spot for this game too. Tom Cleverley returns and partners Erikssen in midfield.

West Ham name a unchanged team for the 5th game in a row, as injuries have depleted them this season. they do start the day outside the relegation zone but they look favourites to go down.

JS: Thanks Paul, Robbie, you are on Sky Sports do not swear but welcome to the show and you are watching Swansea against Man City. What are your thoughts and what is the team news.

RS: Swansea are unchanged from last week, meaning Crouch is preferred to Vazquez, since Fabio Borini is out injured. With Vorm also injured Tremmell continues in goal. Man City manager Rafa Benitez is without injured trio Hart, Henderson and Sinclair. Toure, Milner and Dzeko are dropped to the bench in place of Rodwell, Jese and Aguero. This should have Man City written all over it Jeff.

Crouch continues up for from Swansea

JS: Thanks Robbie, that just leaves you Matt. Your match is Sunderland against Wigan. How do you think it will go and what is the team news?

MLT: Thanks Jeff, I beleive I have the best match today because Sunderland, if they win are in the best position to leapfrog West Ham. Both teams name unchanged sides, as they both won last week. So for Sunderland Vaughan, Brown and Roberge continue to deputise for injured trio Larsson, Johnson and Vergini.

Wigan keep faith with Vellios and Young up front.

Vellios is up front for Wigan

JS: Thanks the matches are just about to kick off, so we will go for a break.
Welcome back and the matches have just kicked off.

2 minutes
JS: Crystal Palace and Spurs have both took the lead. Williams has scored for Palace against Everton and Kane has scored against Cardiff for Spurs, neither makes a difference to the table.

6 minutes
PS: GOALLLLLL!!!!!

There has been a goal for Manchester United and it was a wonderful goal on all levels. Townsend flew down the wing, found Steven Naismith who saw Townsend carry his run on and clipped it into the bottom right hand corner! 1-0 to United

PM: Villa have started the strong Bacuna and Kozak have come close but still 0-0 Jeff.

JS: Arsenal and Liverpool are leading too, meaning at the moment Arsenal will be in the Champions League next season.

10 Minutes

JS: Arsenal are now 2-0 up with Alex Oxlade-Chambelain scoring, and Cardiff have equalised too. Matt how are Sunderland getting on at Wigan?

MLT: They have started well Jeff. Powell and Scocco have come close for Sunderland but Vellios has hit the bar for The Latics. still 0-0

(RS: Thats got to be a PENALTY!)

JS: Robbie was it a penalty?

RS: Jeff, Man City have just been let off because Shelvey had made a stroming run into the area, and Rekik, I have no idea what he was thinking because he went for a tackle from behind, Shelvey went to ground and amazingly Phil Dowd said play on! SHOCKING decision!

14 Minutes

JS: Over to Robbie again, goal but who to Robbie?

RS: I feel for Swansea, I really do. Sergio Aguero could just have hit the goal for the season. He got the ball 30 yards out and saw Tremmel just slightly off his line and unleashed a shot of the highest quality to lob him and send City fans into raptures. 1-0 City.
JS: Now If Arsenal have a collapse, City have done what they need to do so far.

21-24 minutes
JS: Tottenham have doubled there Lead (In back ground MLT GOAL!!!!!!!) with Chadli scoring the goal, over to Matt and a goal for Sunderland?

MLT: There was a great goal by Ignacio Scocco, but hang a minute they are through again. GOAL!!!!!!!!!!!, Steven Fletcher has just scored, so it is now 2-0 and two goals in a minute for Sunderland has made this relegation fight very, very interesting. Scocco got himself on the end of a corner to make it 1-0 and the header was unstoppable. Fletcher however did it himself and he took on 3 players before chipping it over the keeper, 2-0 to Sunderland and they are staying up as it stands.

JS: Yes they are staying up as it stands. Things might look even better for them now as we go to Paul Scholes.

PS: Yes Jeff while all that was happening Kevin Mirallas has made it 2-0 to United. It wa sa cross-shot by Steven Naismith, in which Mirallas got on the end of to make it 2-0 to United and they are cruising

27 Minutes
PM: Goal Over here Jeff!

JS: There has been a goal in the Villa vs Chelsea match but who to Paul?

PM: Yes goal for Villa and they deseve it Jeff. Agbonlahor, who has been amazing this season for Villa cut in from the right and played a delightfully weighted ball into the path of Libor Kozak and he nutmegged Pantillon to make it 1-0 to The Villans Jeff!

JS: Well despite Villa winning, they still wont be staying up at the moment as Sunderland are winning 2-0, and now Wigan down to 10 men Matt?

MLT: Yes Crstophe Berra has just headbutted Scocco and been given a straight red card! It was a horrible challenge and Sunderland will surely win this one now!

38 minutes

JS: Red card at Villa Park! Paul?

PM: Frank Lampard has been sent off for his second bookable offence. The midfielder got both yellows for fouling Fabian Delph and Mourinho is going mental on the touch line and things are getting easier for United.

45 Minutes
JS: The half time whistles have gone and Paul, Villa being cheered off I bet?

PM: Yeah but they know that Sunderland are 2-0 up so it is a muted cheer, they have been excellent though Jeff, Delph and Barry have run the midfield. The pace of Kozak, who if they go down will be picked up by a premier league side has cause Chelsea problems all half. 1-0 Villa.

JS: Matt, Sunderland are 2-0 up but are they good value for the lead?

MLT: Yes they are Jeff. The front two look like they could score every time they get the ball. The red card has not helped but it would not make a blind bit of difference if you ask me. 2-0 Sunderland Jeff

JS: Paul Scholes, United 2-0 infront. Can you see any way back for the Hammers?

PS: No chance Jeff, they have shown nothing this half and they look like a team doomed. 2-0 Man Utd

JS: Robbie, you seem to have had the boring game of the final day.

RS: I disagree Jeff, the first 25 minutes were brilliant. Swansea should feel very hard done by to be behind but WOW what a strike it was.

JS: The second half is just under way and we will go for a break.
(Adverts)
Welcome back.

48 Minutes
JS: Everton have just equalised through a brilliant Lucas Podolski free kick. It was from 20 yards out and makes it Everton one, Palace one.

58 minutes
JS: Stoke have also equalised, but Robbie how are Swansea performing this half?

RS: They are fighting Man City all the way. Crouch is a danger in the air and hit the post about 2 minutes ago but it is still 1-0 to Manchester City Jeff.

75 minutes
PS: (GOALLLLLLLL)

JS: Paul Scholes, goal at The Bolyn Ground

PS: West Ham have the most unlikeliest of goals, through a freak goal, directly from a corner. 2-1 to United and the home fans are getting right behind there team.

86 minutes
PS: (GOAL!!!!!!!)

JS: Paul Scholes, who is it to this time?

PS: WEST HAM UNITED have got the equaliser! Jarvis with the in swinging corner again and Jack Collison was on hand to power the header in but it will not be enough as Sunderland have the more superior goal difference. Sunderland fans must be doing the conga about now, thats all I will say as the full time whistle has now gone.

JS: Manchester United are Champs! Arsenal get the last Champions League spot and Sunderland, the team who started 18th, have stayed up! We have ran out of time, so the interviews will come another day bye bye.

Wow what a brilliant final day there for Sunderland, absolutely pulling one out of the hat to survive. West Ham gave it one crazy run at the end there, coming back from 2-0 down to make it 2-2, just 1 more goal in those last minutes would've saved them! Amazing update to cap off the season, and congrats on the title! :D
great work Jason! all this hard work, toiling over the keyboard, producing both quality football and quality writing, has culminated in this. brilliant update and amazing work taking home the title!
Neal Yeah All three that were in the hat to be relegated had awesome final days, luckily for me Villa's best performance came against Chelsea

Fzem Thanks dude, I am proud of it and it is a lot of hard work but it is great to see people enjoy my story :)

United Complete The Treble!

On a wet afternoon at Olympiastadion, Manchester United's Steven Naismith lived the dream of many a supporter as he lifted the Uefa Champions League trophy above his head following one of the grittiest fight backs in recent times against Real Madrid.

Legendary winger Cristiano Ronaldo gave Madrid the lead on the 63rd minute, after one of the most boring first halves ever.

Ronaldo opens the scoring

On the 71st minute Wilfried Bony was bought on but nobody expected him to do what he did. The striker, who has been on the fringes this season seized on a Xabi Alonso mistake to score a powerful close range effort on the 73rd minute. Real Madrid had a go at United after that and Alonso almost made amends on the 82nd minute when he headed against the bar.

They were made to rue that chance too as Bony, who looked incredible since coming on clinched the winner on the 84th minute with a deftly executed finish.

Bony after his second goal

Wilfried Bony put in a Man Of The Match performance and had the quality to put Madrid to the sword and finished the match with two goals. Bony's impact delighted the fans with his late goal. The striker made a crucial header which epitomised this impressive display.

The Manchester United board have issued a statement declaring that they are very happy with the victory in the Uefa Champions League and are grateful to Brendan Rodgers for leading the club to this unexpected success.

By winning United have won the Treble! Premier League, F.A Cup and Champions League. The last time they did that was back in 1999, when they had the late show against Bayern Munich to crush the Germans dreams.

It is amazing what half a year makes, isn't it. Not so long ago the fans wanted Rodgers out, had attacked his house and his Daughter, but now the secretary for the official supporter' club announced that Rodgers' skill and success as a manager would put many of his contemporaries to shame.

Cantona has his say on the win in the Champions League

Eric Cantona, legendary striker has declared this is a very proud day for the club and its fans. Brendan Rodgers has done wonders to come in, get a lot of stick for buying young and working them up to where they are now. The thing the Premier League have to worry about is that there only going to get better as a team. I think we will see Manchester United at the top of the table for a years to come.

There you have it, Manchester United reign supreme again.

Rodgers: I Only Have One Target

Today we can report that Brendan Rodgers, only has one transfer target and that it is a Manchester City player.

The man at the centre of it all is 29 year old Vincent Kompany. The Manchester City captain is wanted by Rodgers to help Stones and Ginter improve even more and it would mean having two of every position for next season. Kompany is thought to really want to consider one more big move before he starts declining and with United ready with a monster £60m offer on the table the move could be on and other teams are also looking to take advantage of City not having champions league football next season too.

Rodgers said in a press conference I think he would really suit this team and it is that little bit of experience needed to show the younger guys that they can become just as good as Vincent.

It is most certainly a big turn of events, although we do not expect the fans to want him at United. However with the United fans not expected to want him, lets see how he will convince them of this one like he did with Naismith.
60M move for Kompany would be crazy, imagine the headlines if that deal went through! Football-wise, though, that would be an amazing signing! :D
drumroll please......
400!!!!! woo party! but back to your story, good luck getting Kompany. if you do get him he'll be a legend. Congrats on the big four-o-o.

Kompany: I WANT Champions League Football

Vincent Kompany finally came out today to say that he wants to leave Manchester City. The Belgian defender, 29 is looking for Champions League football and thinks that current club Manchester City have had there day. I love Manchester and if possible I would love to stay in Manchester, but just not playing for City. I have heard the rumours about Manchester United and I know they had a £71m bid rejected but I feel there is a way it could happen if they want me enough.

I have really enjoyed my time with Manchester City, where I have won the Premier League once and the F.A Cup once too but it is time to move on and I want to play for Manchester City.

The rumour is that Man Utd will launch a cash plus players offer thought to include Danny Welbeck, Andriy Yarmolenko and Xherdan Shaqiri. This would severely test the resolve of Manchester City but also shows how much Brendan Rodgers would like to add Kompany to his squad.

The three players in question got very little playing time this season and would probably all welcome the move.
this is just my opinion, but isn't 71m plus a player a bit much, even for kompany?

But then again, it is your decision and if you pull it off he will definitely perform.
