Premier League Final Day: Judgement Day Preview
The final day of the Premier League is upon us and Sky Sports has coverage of the 4 games that really matter. We are going to be seeing who wins the Premier League, Who gets that all important forth place and Champions League football and who will stay up or go down.
We will go through each match we have live one by one starting with the battle for the title and Chelsea playing away to Aston Villa. This could well be a bogey match for the London side. Villa know that only a win
COULD keep them up as they need
Sunderland and
West Ham ton both lose, or West Ham to lose and Sunderland can draw which would mean that a Villa win would keep them up. There are a lot of permutations but these will only happen
IF Villa win.
Chelsea on the other hand have no relegation fears, but are trying to steal the title off Manchester United in the last match. Chelsea
MUST win and hope that Manchester United lose for the title to head to London rather than Manchester. This is because Chelsea have the goal difference advantage over United and Mourinho thinks that United could slip up.
We have to win, don't we? If we don't United could lose 7-1 and still win the title. We have been the best two teams this season by a long. long way and I want to give Brendan Rodgers credit for the job he has done and I hope they go on to win the Champions League, we will just do what we do best and win, then see how United do.
Prediction: 3-1 Chelsea. We do not think that Villa have enough to beat the drop and this will seal there fate.
Manchester United play
West Ham United in yet another top of the table against bottom of the table clash. Manchester United just need a
win or a draw to lift the title whereas
West Ham need a win to guarantee safety. This match is going to be an epic,
West Ham have not won against a Brendan Rodgers United yet and we can not see any way this will happen this time because United really, really want this title so we think that maybe
West Ham are going to be struggling to stay in the League.
It is so close now, we just need one point and the title will be ours to go with the Community Shield and the F.A Cup. We will not let this slip now. Chelsea have been amazing this season and we have been way ahead of anyone else but we will not throw it away and I have great faith in this bunch of players said Rodgers.
Prediction: 3-0 United. We just can not see a case for West Ham to win this match and they might be in danger of slipping down into the Championship after 3 season back in the Top Flight.
Sunderland entertain
Wigan, a team who have nothing to play for, but Sunderland have everything to play for and this is where we see the relegation fight being decided here because it all depends on which Wigan side turn up. If it is the
Wigan side who want to play then Sunderland will get beat but if it is the side who wants to go on holiday then
Sunderland have a hell of a chance here.
We think that
Sunderland can do this! Yes they have to win and have been in dodgy form of late but when you want something enough you can usually play your way into the game.
Wigan have had a fantastic season and will finish either 7th or 8th and I think they will be happy with that.
Prediction: Sunderland to win 2-0 and stay up in the Premier League at West Ham's expense.
The last game we can show live, which will be four of four is
Manchester City against
Swansea. If
Arsenal slip up to
Nottingham Forest, who are already relegated then
Man City have a chance to claim 4th place and a spot in next season's Champions League.
Swansea are another team who have absolutely nothing to play for and this will be to
Manchester City's advantage.
We can get 4th place. We need Arsenal to lose, but it is possible and we will win so it is so important that we make sure we are in the seat to profit IF Arsenal choke said Benitez.
Prediction: 4-0 City, but they miss out on the champions League spot.
All Matches are live on Sky Sports 1-4 on Sunday May 17th 2015, where there will be live updates and the league changes as it happens only on Sky Sports.
