Wellington Nem: My Move Is On A Knife Edge

We found out today that Wellington Nem's move to Manchester United is in doubt after his initial work permit application was turned down. It is rumoured to do with the fact he has not had the right amount of international appearances.

United are appealing the decision and manager Brendan Rodgers explained why. We think he should be given clearance because he is a quality youngster who really could be awesome for us here at Manchester United. He is part of my longer term plan and would end up a central figure in the club.

Wellington Nem is said to be furious at the decision and points out that when it is on Football Manager he is always allowed to join! I read on the forums that clubs like Villa and Swansea signed me and when it is in real life they refuse my work permit application! I really hope that this works and I can join the biggest club in the World.

Will Wellington Nem get his wish and finally be able to put behind him the whole Football Manager situation and then join the English club.
Hopefully he'll get his permit accepted!
Fantastic story so far, some of your signings are amazing!

Frustrated Much: The Appeal!

Wellington Nem had his hearing today

The meeting started at 9am in London. I was already absolutely shattered from all the traveling, Wellington Nem was there already and I felt confident that this was going to be a good outcome. It took an age to be called in but once we were in, the questions started. They asked me if I was going to be playing Nem regulary and they wondered why he did not have the right appearances for Brazil.

He responded that Brazil have a lot of players in his position and that to get into the international squad he needs to be playing for a top club and that he needs to be allowed this move.

The hearing lasted 3 hours and was one of the most intense round of questioning I have seen at one of these but then they took just 5 minutes to make there decision and that was to allow him to move to Manchester United on a conditional Work Permit.
Nice update, glad you got Nem :)

NVD Thanks man but things have now got bad

Townsend Injured!

As far as unlucky situations go, Andros Townsend could well be the most unluckiest player to play for Manchester United! He was a victim of one of the most synical challenges you will ever see.

He got the ball on the right side of midfield and ran at Tettey who just hammered straight into him which meant that Townsend fell awkwardly and strained his knee ligaments in the 1-0 victory. Tettey only got booked and Brendan Rodgers was incensed after the game. It was an absolutely horrible challenge! I think he deserves to get banned and should have been sent off. That sort of challenge can end careers and Townsend will now miss the next 10 matches.

Townsend, 22 is a £16m signing from Spurs is said to be devastated and had started his Man Utd career really brightly. It will now open chances up to the likes of Yarmolenko and Draxler but England will miss the energetic midfielder too.

Will he be the same player when he recovers? We will see.

Solskjaer: I Can Do A Better Job!

Ole Gunnar Solskjear on the eve of the match against Manchester United, used the pre-match press conference to suggest that he was interested in the job that Brendan Rodgers has at the moment at Man Utd.

I feel that Rodgers is not getting the best from the team but I think I could. I think I could shake it up a bit and bring in better players. Players like Naismith, Rhodes and Stones all should be dropped or sold. I am determined to hunt for this job that rodgers has.

This move from Solskjaer will not go down very well with the players at either club but most of all Vincent Tan, the chairman or Cardiff looks as if he will be releasing Solskjaer anyway on the back of this press conference.

We contacted Man Utd and got a response from Ed Woodward. Brendan Rodgers' job is totally safe. The players and fans love him, the board love him and I feel he is the guy to lead us to Domestic and European glory.

As for Ole Gunnar, we feel he has now dug his own grave and will drop down into it soon.
U wot m8?

Ole, wut u smokin?! D:

United Show Solskjaer Up

Could Tan and Solskjaer's Relationship Be At Rock Bottom?

Cardiff, who have one of the league's poorest disciplinary records, suffered defeat against Man Utd on a surprisingly mild afternoon at Old Trafford.

With the words of Solskjaer ringing in the ears of the United players they looked desperate to show manager Brendan Rodgers they were supporting him. It was a boring first half but the second half sparked into life.

Wellington Nem, a second half substitute was fouled in the area. Well I say fouled but he went over very, very easily and the referee gave the penalty and sent off Kevin Theophile-Catherine for the foul. Steven Naismith, who had not missed from the spot all season bagged spot-kick number 4 with some relative ease. Then another error from Cardiff, this time Steven Caulker allowed wonder-kid Matthias Ginter to power home a headed goal totally unmarked. Man Utd captain Robin van Persie then completed the rout with a fierce shot on the 78th minute.

This was an amazing show of support to Brendan Rodgers, and once van Persie had got the third the whole team ran over to celebrate with Rodgers. I doubt he is going anywhere but Solskjaer plays Man Utd in the F.A Cup next match too so that match could seal his fate.

Buttner: I Am Being Targeted By Marriner!

Buttner Thinks Marriner Is Targeting Him Unfairly

When Alexander Buttner started this season, he warned Man Utd fans that he was a no nonsense left back but today he went public in that he thinks that Andre Marriner is targeting him. This is because Buttner picked up his 10th yellow of the season in the 2-1 win against Cardiff City in the F.A Cup 4th round but it was the EIGHTH yellow card that Andre Marriner had given the left back and Buttner believes that Marriner has something against him.

I think it is ridiculous because some of the yellows that he (Marriner) has given me, I sometimes have wondered what I have done wrong. Now I have to miss the top of the table clash with Everton and I really do not know why? Has there even been any comment by him? Obviously not but this needs to be sorted out because I am getting very angry with the whole situation.

Manager Brendan Rodgers agrees with his player completely. I think something needs to be done about it because Buttner is not that sort of player and I feel for the lad. He has the best attitude you could ask for in a player so young. He will be back in the team as soon as he has served his suspension.

We had asked the F.A. for a response but they declined to comment.
