Champions League Draw

After Steven Naismith beat Dutch side Ajax by himself Manchester United got rewarded with a match against Real Madrid. Real Sociedad play Chelsea but for me the tie's of the round are Barcelona vs Man City and Dortmund against Bayern Munich.

Naismith grabbed 4 goals over 2 legs against Ajax

It is clear to see that Spain, England and Germany have the best sides in Europe at the moment. Bookies make Real Madrid the favourites to win at 4/1 with Barcelona and Bayern coming in at 6/1.

For Rodgers' United side you can get 12/1, which is good value because they are in good form at the moment.

Klinsmann: We Will End United's Title Hopes

Klinsmann bullish about hopes

Jurgen Klinnsmann took over from Rodgers when he moved to United and today said his side are the superior side and they will show it on Saturday.

We have been in amazing form all season and would dearly like to win the title. We are way better than this United side in which Brendan has made them even more mediocre than they already were. Luis Suarez and Danny Sturridge have been the best players in the Premier League in my view and we have Andre Marriner refereeing too so we are sure to win with Buttner we hope getting sent off.

Brendan Rodgers came back at Klinsmann though with a very harsh response.

Rodgers hits back

If Jurgen thinks that slagging us off can give them an advantage then he is wrong. He was a crap international manager and is a crap club manager! It is going to be such an easy game for us because we are the form side and that is not including the rather unfortunate loss to Stoke last game. But we are going to wipe the smile off Klinsmann's face even though we have a crap referee in charge.

The F.A. have also spoke about the appointment of Marriner for this game. We believe that he is the best man for the job but will be keeping an extra eye on him because we are now aware that he has told other referee's about Mr. Buttner and we now except this is against our policy but we have just given him a warning.

Marriner takes charge of United vs Liverpool

This match has got the hype but can it live up to it? That is the question.

Take That Liverpool!

Klinsmann's comments backfired as Liverpool were beat

One of the league's best defences was surprisingly undone as Liverpool lost to Manchester United 3-1 on a fine spring afternoon at Anfield.

Attacking Midfielder Andros Townsend has put all of his injury woes behind him by giving United the lead with a deftly executed finish from around 30 yards out in the 23rd minute. Midfielder Harry Wilson then equalised for Liverpool in the 32nd minute with a well timed finish from close range.

United captain Robin van Persie then put Manchester United back in front after 34 minutes with a freak goal. Promising striker Sergi Canos then summed up his team's performance by nearly gifting Man Utd another goal on 34 minuted.

Wilfried Bony then completed the scoring for Manchester United with a placed shot on the 51st minute.

Buttner got yet another yellow card too and it was Marriner again! He was not happy and the F.A will have to look at it because it was never a booking.

We played really well said Brendan Rodgers. We dominated the game from start to finish and Wilfried came on and did the job I asked of him. Andro though, he was absolutely fantastic and I am so glad to have him back from injury.

Townsend put in a man of the match display with scoring a goal and he looked in good form for United and the midfielder will be delighted to have got on the score-sheet. He also showed the accuracy of passing was a contributing factor towards this impressive display.

Premier League Table

United might be 7th, but are closing in on the top 6 in one of the most open Premier League's in the history

End Of Month

We scored an amazing 19 goals this month and only lost once. We started off with beating Sunderland 4-0. It was a cracking encounter away from home and was the start of Andros Townsend coming back to form. He bagged two and set one up as Bony and Januzaj scored his first goal for Manchester United.

It wa sa mega effort to destroy Crystal Palace 8-0. We had 8 different scorers in Schneiderlin, Van Persie, Naismith, an own goal, Townsend, Rhodes, Draxler and Mata scored the goals. Palace, who had been beaten by United 9-0 in the past got trounced and United carried that on into the Champions League where Steven Naismith had been excelling. He bagged 2 goals to give United a tie against Real Madrid.

The Norwich game started so well and we were 2-0 up in the first 11 minutes but then Elliott Bennett came on and bagged two goals of his own to give Norwich a well deserved draw. We then lost to Stoke and beat Liverpool (see above).

I am very happy with our month's worth of work and I still think we could put a late challenge in for the title. This month will just give us the kick to finish the season in style. We are in 7th place with leaders Man City, who are occupying the top spot 6 points above us with them still to play.
really nice story bro... hope you could get a mexican player in your first team.

Upper Hand For United In Champions League

On a gorgeous evening in Spain, Real Madrid went into the match against Manchester United as favourites. The side 2nd in Liga BBVA must have thought that they only had to turn up to win because there form has been red hot.

Manchester United though have been in inspired form this season in the Champions League and with Rodgers deciding that Andriy Yarmolenko would start the match it turned into a great decision. Robin Van Persie set United rolling in the 15th minute when Yarmolenko supplied the cross Van Persie headed the first in. United then pulverised Madrid in the first half.

Van Persie celebrates United's first goal

Steven Naismith went close in the 21st minute but Iker Casillas was equal to it. Van Persie almost doubled the advantage on the 39th minute but Casillas was again equal to it. Real Madrid were booed off at half time and the second half went the way of the first half. Cidao was bought on by Rodgers for his professional debut, it was a bold move by Brendan but it almost paid off as him and the other sub Wilfried Bony combined in which Cidao hit the bar.

The second United goal came from the surprise of the season Steven Naismith who skinned 3 defenders and slotted home to make it 2-0. This was a very disjointed and shocked Real side. United thoroughly deserved there 2-0 win and the man of the match was Sando. He played his defensive midfielder role very quietly but effectively.

Naismith finished the scoring off for United

Real have a mountain to climb next week but United are not home and dry just yet and they have a very tough match against Chelsea on saturday to contend with first.

Van Persie: We Can Win The Title

In the wake of Manchester United's comprehensive 3-1 victory, Robin van Persie came out and explained how he feels United are in the best position to win the title. He was interviewed by Match Of The Day host Gary Lineker after the match.

Gary: Thanks for joining us. It was a great match to watch, did it feel good to get one over on Chelsea and manager Jose Mourinho after the criticism of the young United squad that Brendan has put together?

Robin (in a very strong dutch accent): Its a pleasure to talk to you Gary. Yes I think we put down a real marker here. We have as a team really gelled together in the last month or two. The new signings made in January really helped, like Wilfried (Bony) and Andros (Townsend). They have really added something to the side that maybe we were lacking. It is also a welcome relief that we are not relying on Steven (Naismith) to grab us all the goals now because he has had a sensational season but the face that I am now scoring and we have two centre backs in John (Stones) and Matthias (Ginter) that will come forward at corners and score massive goals for us. The two that Matthias got against Chelsea were just stunning. I think it has to be a team effort now to try and overhaul the top 4 and see if we can nick the title.

Gary: You have only lost twice in the last eight games now and you have a important Champions League match upcoming on Wednesday. How do you see the second leg going and who would you say is the big danger for Madrid and also who is going to be the man to win the match for you?

Robin: Well gary we are 2-0 up so really we do not have to chase anything. We were fantastic in the first leg, especially Steven. He has been a revelation for United this season, I remember the round before against Ajax, we were not very good at all in the first leg but Steven took the game on himself and he got both goals to win it 2-0 so he is our danger-man. Cristiano Ronaldo will always be Madrid's best chance but we put Stonesy on him in the first leg and he did not get a sniff and was subbed on the 60th minute.

Gary: Finally Robin where can this young, energetic United team finish up this season?

Robin: We are looking good now, we have a squad of players who now believe they can win the title and if we can win this quarter final on Wednesday we could even go all the way in the Champions League too, but it will be next season when the Premier League will have to watch out.

Gary: Well thanks for your time Robin and good luck for the rest of the season.

As we look at the remaining fixtures for each team and Manchester United pretty much have it in there own hands because they play Arsenal, Man City and Newcastle. With the top 7 clubs covered by just 6 points it is going to be a thrilling finish to the Barclays Premier League.

The top 7 covered by 6 points with Spurs 2 points further back
So freaking close :O

Arvind Thanks Arv and yes it is so so close

Hapless Real Well Beaten

A first leg win proved a successful foundation for Man Utd, who secured an amazing 7-0 aggregate victory over Real Madrid following their second leg clash at Old Trafford.

United took the lead after 42 very frustrating minutes when Wilfried Bony scored a good header from just inside the six-yard box from a Naismith cross. After half time Andriy Yarmolenko was put on as a centre forward and he scored from close range after Madrid got all in a pickle to clear the ball on the 59th minute.

Bony added his secone goal of the game with a well struck effort which went in off the post following some awesome work by sub Yarmolenko again, but Yarmolenko had not finished there and 4 minutes later he got his second of the match with a deftly executed finish on the 64th minute.

With Ronaldo going off injured with Achilles problems things got from bad to worse for the Spanish side as Nathanial Clyne attacked the far post and vollyed home to make it SEVEN for United.

Ronaldo took off injured against United

Wilfried Bony was the best player on the park and had the quality to put Real Madrid to the sword and finished the match with two goals. The strikers shooting caused the opposition defence lots of problems and contributed towards this impressive performance.

The English Are Kept Apart In The Champions League

The draw for the semi-finals has took place in Switzerland and it was good news for Manchester United and Manchester City as they were kept apart, meaning a chance of an all English Manchester Derby final could be on the cards. First though they have to get past there opponents. Manchester United have the toughest of the opponents in Bayern Munich.

Bayern defeated Dortmund to make the semi-finals and there manager Pep Guardiola knows they have a tough match.

You look at the last four teams left and you think that we have the toughest match because Manchester United are absolutely on top of there game at the moment. I was present at Old Trafford when Manchester United did not just beat Real Madrid, they murdered them. We destroyed our fierce rivals in the last round though and to be honest it could go either way. We have to keep the danger four quiet in Andriy (Yarmolenko), Steven, Robin and Wilfried. That is an amazing front four to be able to call upon and it is lucky for us that Andros is not registered. With that front four you look to the two holding midfielders and they have 3 that they rotate and a fantastic young Brazilian that was thrown into the mix against Real Madrid for his debut. I have no idea which way it will go but we will sure try to be the side that gets to the final.

The shock side in the semi-final though is Spanish side Real Sociedad. Sociedad overcame Chelsea in the quarter final thanks to a goal each game for Antoine Griezmann means that they get to play in the semi final against Man City. Sociedad, managed by Juande Ramos thinks his side can overcome Man City.

They are a OK side together, but a world class side of individuals. My side play as a team and although we may not be as talented as the 3 sides left, we are the sole remaining Spanish side and to be brutally honest we have drew the weakest side compared to us. I have players like Antoine (Griezmann), Carlos (Vela) and Gonzalo (Castro) to unleash on Man City and I am very confident we will get the right result.

Manchester Derby Preview

The Manchester Derby is always a big occasion but this Saturday it is going to be even bigger. United will be looking for revenge after the match earlier in the season was won by City 2-1 with Aguero getting the deciding goal. United though have improved a lot since then and suddenly there fans are dreaming of the title again.

Following Rodgers side's draw with Arsenal last week they are currently 4th in the league with 63 points from 34 matches. United though have only won one of there last five home league games. A win would see United move into 2nd place in the table, which would give them a chance of playing in the Champions League next season.

Man City are lying in second at the moment and Diego Simeone has got them playing some very good football indeed but they have drew 3 of there last 5 away league games.

We are predicting a 1-0 victory but are not sure who will emerge victorious.

United Win But Sunderland Steal Headlines

Gardner celebrates goal number two of three against Arsenal

Manchester City were beaten 3-0 by Manchester United today but that was not the main headline as Arsenal's title hopes took a battering as Everton pulled 6 points clear of United at the top.

Not in any of the Sunderland fan's wildest dreams would they have expected to even beat Arsenal but on a bright but breezy day in the North East Arsenal got spanked. Craig Gardner got his first ever hattrick as by the 29th minute Arsenal were already 6-0 down and Arsene Wenger who has come under a lot of pressure in the last 3 weeks held his head in disbelief.

Bridcutt, Giaccherini and Borini got the other 3 goals and Arsene Wenger then held an interview after the match.

I would like to say sorry to the fans but this is not my fault this is the referee's fault. We did not deserve to lost 6-0 and Sunderland got lucky but I can now officially say that our title bid is over. I would like Everton to hold on to it because we need a new winner of the Premier League.

Everton did manage to beat Southampton 1-0 with outgoing midfielder Kevin Mirallas grabbing the goal that pushes them on the brink of an historic title. They were not really considered for a title at the start of the season but were tipped to challenge for 4th place. Manager Roberto Martinez is understandably proud but also is weary of the couple of teams that could still catch them.

Marallas' goal against Southampton could win Everton the title

With 3 games to play there is a chance we could still be caught. Man Utd and Liverpool are in the best form in the Premiership. We have to play West Ham, Swansea and Cardiff and they will not be push overs so we will have to wait and see where we are come the final day of the season.

One thing for sure this title race could go down to the very, last game.

United Ease Into Final

Manchester United could not have hoped for a better display here as they eased past Bayern Munich 3-0 on the night and 4-0 on aggregate. The first half was a very even affair with both sides hitting woodwork, although when United hit the woodwork it also bounced over the line for Van Persie.

Guardiola must wonder what he needs to do now

I feel sorry for Bayern and Pep Guardiola because they more than match United over the two legs but with the type of finishing that players like Van Persie and Naismith have been doing lately it is difficult to see how anyone would beat them at the moment. There defence has just gelled too, with players like Clyne and Stones helping there goalkeeper David De Gea out and meaning they keep clean sheets.

United will play Real Sociedad in the final

It now means that Manchester United will play the shock of the tournament Real Sociedad at the Estadio da Luz. Getting to the Champions League final will be seen as a fantastic achievement for the in-form English outfit who only ever really harboured ambitions of making the Semi Final, but have found themselves one step away from glory thanks largely to the performances of Steven Naismith and Nathanial Clyne.

After the match we caught up with Nathanial and he had this to say about the result.

Clyne speaks out

I am over the moon to be part of this club, we are on the way to the final and we will go as favourites for it too. This is such a wonderful feeling and I really can not wait now to get back to business this weekend and try to overhaul Everton to win the title too. When you have players upfront who you have faith in to put the ball away when the chance arises you just know that your going to have a good season.

Everton Win The Title

How things looked before the 37th game.

Not since 1987 had Everton won the title. It seems so long ago but that today all changed as a 2-1 victory against Swansea gave Everton the most of unlikely titles.

I mean yes they were improving but they employed a manager that although he was very well liked and thought to be highly ambitious and talented had only won a F.A Cup. Well that has now changed because Roberto Martinez has led his side to Premier League glory with a game in hand. They were 40/1 7th favourites at the start of the season and were only really being tipped to get into the top 4.

It is all down to one man, Romelu Lukaku! He has hit Thirty Three goals this season and midfielder Kevin Mirallas has contributed 13 goals too but he and Lukaku will be leaving at the end of the season.

Manager Roberto Martinez is very proud of his squad.

When we lost Steven and John at the start of the season I was worried, but this squad has shown unbelievable desire and commitment to Everton Football Club. I want them to enjoy this momentous occasion and savour it for a long time. We will lose a few players for next season but I will also buy a fair few to compensate for that and we will give the Champions League group stages a good go.

Everton fans celebrate winning the Premier League title

Kevin is going to Manchester United, who are going to be having a big clear out by the sounds of it and Lukaku could be following him to United too. Hats off to Everton though Champions of 2013/14 season.
I've just catched up with this and must say: Hilalovic, John Stones and Draxler are amazing young signing for you mate! How the hell did Everton won the title?!?!?! And also, good luck in CL Final!!

AAN You are about to find out the result!
