Hall voted Player of the Season

Stockport County winger Ryan Hall has been voted 'Player of the Season' by both fans and players after a magnificent first season with The Hatters.

Hall, 28, joined Stockport on a free at the start of the season after his contract expired at Leeds. Hall told the media when he joined the club that he would give his all and prove to everyone that he is capable of playing well at this level.

It didn't take long for Hall to score his first goal and he proved to be a big attacking threat to the Edgeley based club as he got the following stats for the 2015/16 season;

Appearances: 41
Goals: 20
Assists: 18
PoTM: 10
Average Rating: 7.32

Hall finished second in Stockport's goalscoring list as on-loan forward Euan Smith, got two more goals that the former Leeds winger and edged 1st place, winning the golden boot after a very good goalscoring season for the young Scottish forward.

Hall spoke out after receiving this award on County TV which is available to watch online on Stockport's official YouTube Channel which keeps you up to date on everything Stockport County related, from interviews to match highlights, you can visit the channel here.

"It's been a great season for me as a player here at Stockport. The gaffer gave me a chance to revive my career after I disappointed at Leeds and I had the opportunity to get my career back to track. I've enjoyed every moment here at Stockport and helping them achieve promotion into the next division just makes me feel really happy inside. I hope I can continue impressing next season as I'm really enjoying my football here."

Stockport will have a lot of work to do to prepare for the challenges in League 1, with Slater rumoured to be already in talks with numerous players to try and boost his chances of survival in the next division.
Congrats to Hall! :D
Hall had a brilliant season, so it's only fair he collected the award! :D
Well done Mr. Hall, he has had a fantastic season and is definitely the deserved winner! :D
@Justice: Indeed, what a great season he's had.

@Walt: Agreed. :)

@Pompey: He has had an amazing season!

Early business at Edgeley

Stockport County have done business early and secured the signatures of four players whose contracts have just expired.

Manager Josh Slater has already started his summer business early by securing the signings for four players as Liam Gordon, Sam Magri, Rohan Ince and Tomislav Gomelt all join the club for free as their current contracts have just expired after their clubs decided not to offer them a new deal.

These four signings have started the re-build for Stockport as they start to adapt to life in League 1 and needed to improve their squad to compete with the bigger teams in this division. All four players have agreed to join County but the deal will not go through until July 1st.

Liam Gordon

The young Scottish centre-half will be a big figure in Stockport's defence due to him being 6ft 2. He has great tackling for his age and is determined to do well for his club. He will improve heavily over time but may see himself start many of Stockport's games as he is already capable of playing at League 1 level.

Gordon's Current Rating:

Gordon's Potential Rating:

Sam Magri

The young former England under 21 joins County after being released from QPR. He will add leadership in the back line and has bags of potential. Like Gordon, he may start most of County's games as Slater stated that his main focus was on re-building the defence. He is more than capable of playing at League 1 level as he has a few Championship games under his belt.

Magri's Current Rating:

Magri's Potential Rating:

Rohan Ince

The recently released defensive midfielder has played in the Premier League before and will offer both experience and physical presence to Stockport's midfield. This is a great pick-up for Slater as Ince was being looked at by Championship clubs but he decided to join The Hatters on a 2 year deal.

Ince's Current Rating:

Tomislav Gomelt

The former Spurs under 21 joins County after his contract expired from Tottenham. The Croatian will add dribbling skills on the wings which is what Slater was looking for in the transfer market. He is more than capable of playing at this level as he's played in higher divisions than League 1.

Gomelt's Current Rating:

Gomelt's Potential Rating:

Magri and Ince are excellent buys, not sure on the others, but I'm sure they'll do fine :D
Very nice graphic and good signings too Josh!
