Slater hails players after a magnificent season

Stockport County manager Josh Slater has hailed his players after they earnt his side promotion back into League 1 after a 7 year wait.

As the final whistle blew in County's final home game, everyone knew what was coming, the League 1 trophy would make it's way back into County's trophy cabinet after many years without it's presence in the club's history books.

Slater had took his men from promotion from the Skrill Premier, to promotion from League 2 and he is now aiming for promotion once more as the club begins it's preparation for the challenges ahead in League 1. After the final game of the season, manager Josh Slater had many words to say about the season just gone.

"Words cannot describe how I feel right now, to take the club I loved all my life back up into one of football's big divisions is truly mind-boggling. The outcome of this season would have not been possible without each and every player adding something to the team. Every player was key to our success whether it had been on the pitch or just morale support, they were all vital."

"Obviously there are those stand-out performers, who you can probably guess who they are, but you cannot take any credit away from anyone else as they've all played a small part into a growing and thriving future for this club. It's been a never say die attitude from the players this season and if they continue next season with that very same attitude, in a years time I could be speaking to you once more but this time as a Championship manager."

Slater is County's first ever manager to lead them to back-to-back promotions and goes down in the history books for his amazing work at the Edgeley based club. The Stockport County board are currently in talks with Slater over another new deal as they see him as the man to take the club forward even more.
We know it was all Slater :PP
Very nice graphic and write up Josh!
Slater sure is a fantastic manager ;)
Congrats on the promotion!
Great Graphic!
@Walt: How did you know... ;)

@Pompey: Thank you very much Pompey! :)

@Captain: Thank you:D

@Tallery: Thanks a bunch!

2016/17 Kits Revealed

Stockport County have revealed their new kits for the 2016/17 season in which they'll contest in the Sky Bet League 1.

Stockport have continued their partnership with Adidas and yet again flock the logo of the worldwide company which have overtaken Nike in the official stock market. Stockport have also agreed terms with a new sponsor, TPP, who create and prepare software used in Hospitals and teach NHS staff how to use each device, you can visit their website hereto learn more about the good work they do.

Home Kit: Stockport have a changed design from last seasons kits, however they keep the same royal blue colour which is very iconic for the club. The new design now has a strip of white on the upper-torso and keeps the traditional Adidas stripes at the top of the shirt. The TPP logo is in white which contracts very well with the royal blue.

Away Kit: Like the home kit, the away keeps the same colours as last seasons shirt and keeps the same design as the home kit. The colours are reversed meaning that the strip on the upper-torse is now royal blue and the rest is white. The TTP logo also becomes blue and the Adidas stripes are now white.

Third Kit: And finally the third kit keeps the same design as the previous two but is now in yellow. It keeps the same blue strip on the upper-torso as the away kit but the rest of the kit is now yellow. The TPP logo also stays the colour as the away kit and the Adidas stripes are now yellow.

These kits will be on sale soon in Sports Direct, JD and the official Stockport County store.

Special thanks to Tallery for the awesome kits!
