October and November fixtures

In this two months we played just 6 matches due to international matches. I am not pleased at all about what we showed in this two months, managing to get just two wins and fallen to 11th place! We are still exceeding by far our objective, but I am aiming for at least a 10th place at the end of the season…we have big problems in our defensive area, but with January quickly approaching, we will bring at least one very good central defender!

Zweite Bundesliga Matches

Darmstadt 2 – 2 Red Bull Leipzig

Johnnier Montano
Daniel Frahn

This draw is not a very bad result as Darmstadt were in a very good form when we met them..but the thing that really annoys me is that Kleberson got injuried and will be out for around 3-4 weeks…

Red Bull Leipzig 2 – 0 Karlsruhe

Diego Demme
Georg Teigl

At least came our first win of this month, against Karlshrue, a team that is in the relegation zone and is in a poor form. I hoped that this win will boost our morale, but it seems that I was so wrong….

St. Pauli 3 – 1 Red Bull Leipzig

Daniel Frahn

St.Pauli had a bad start of the season in the league, but now they were back in form and defeated us..I’m not to upset about this, as St.Pauli’s objective is to win the league, so they have a very strong squad!

Red Bull Leipzig 2- 0 Aalen

Bebe
Najib Ammari

At least Bebe scored! We had huge expectations from him but it seems like he will have again a bad season…I had confidance in him and gave him another chance, but now I doubt if I did the right thing!

Bochum 2 – 1 Red Bull Leipzig

Yussuf poulsen

Sadly, we are missing Kleberson…he was the guy that really was the heart of this team and he will be out for 3 weeks…his contract is supposed to expire in the summer, but I think that he did enough to deserve a new contract! We lost another game, but at least I am happy that Poulsen scored, as he is a very good prospect for the future.

Red Bull Leipzig 1 – 3 1860 Munchen

Johnnier Montano

We ended the month with another defeat..but this time against 1860 Munchen, which is in my opinion the strongest team in the league.

@BayernAmerica - thank you!

December – New contract!

I am very pleased with our performance from this month…it was a short month, we played just 4 matches, but from 3 league matches, we won 2 and made 1 draw and we’re back on 8th place in the league.
In DFB – Pokal I can’t understand what happened…I can only label it as “A Disaster”!

Zweite Bundesliga Matches

Inglostadt 1 – 3 Red Bull Leipzig

Bebe
Daniel Frahn
Georg Teigl

After the pretty bad form we showed in last month, I expected to play weaker, but we started the month with a very good performance against Inglostadt, winning the match with 3-1.

Nurmberg 2 – 3 Red Bull Leipzig

Johnnier Montano
Georg Teigl
Daniel Frahn

Amazing performance!! After that awful performance from the cup we were facing second place in the league: Nurnberg…what could I expect from that match?! I don’t know what happened, but my players had an impressive match and we managed to win a very tough match!

Red Bull Leipzig 0 – 0 Braunschweig

None

Maybe we should have won that match…but Braunschweig showed a good form in their last matches so I think that it’s a fair result.

DFB-Pokal

Red Bull Leipzig 0 – 5 Frankfurt

None

What the hack?! Last place in Zweite Bundesliga has defeated us 5-0 ?!?! How is that even possible? After defeating Koln and Wolfsburg in the Cup now we are eliminated by Frankfurt?!?! I am going to fine them!

New Contract!

As you know, I was given a contract for one season with an extending option by the club if I accomplish my objective: avoid relegation.
It seems that I already impressed my bosses and I was already given a new contract, again for one season, until the summer of 2015.You wonder if I accepted? Of course I did!!!
That is a really hard result to take mate, but in the league you're doing really well! Keep it up, and maybe you can get yourself promoted next season!

2 defenders join us!

I am very happy to present you our new defender, John Boye! He joined us on loan until the rest of the season from Stade Rennais FC.

John Boye is a 26 years old Ghanaian central defenders which played for Stade Rennais in Ligue 1. Sadly for him, at the beginning of the season he suffered an injury and was out until now… that’s why Rennais decided to gave him away on loan in a lower league until the end of the season so he can regain his fitness and physical abilities. I think that he is a great signing for us and will help improve our defensive!

The second central defender we signed on loan until the end of the season is Manuel Friedrich from Borussia Dortmund! Maybe he is 34 years old and he doesn’t have the speed he once had….but he has immense experience and he cand help our players improve very much!

Before joining Dortmund, Manuel played 6 years for Bayer Leverkusen, making 147 apparences in Bundesliga, Champions League and Europa League for them.

----------------------------
@ASR-PSV - it depends on next season budget. I don't wanna get promoted if I don't have players which can at least avoid relegation from Bundesliga...and now I don't have them!
----------------------------

Good signings there mate :) Hopefully now you will push up the league!

Signing 3 players on pre-contract!

As I said before, I am planning to change 90% of my team in the summer…some of them will be released, other will be sold and I am looking to bring players that can grow, and if not next season, in my third season at the club to challenge for ptomotion!

The first player who signed a pre-contract with us and will join our team on 1st of July is Jesus Rubio. He was raised and formed at Villareal’s youth academy, and we all know that they have an amazing youth academy where they form future stars…sadly, it’s not the case of Rubio. He wasn’t able to break in Villareal’s first team and he was released in 2009. Since then he played for Alemria, Recreativo Huelva and Gimnastic.

Herve Bazile is a Haitian footballer also with French nationality that plays now for Le Poire-sur-Vie in France. Bazile is a natural left winger but he can also play as a striker, he has an amazing speed, a very good tehnique and he is also a good dribbler.
I signed him at my chief scout recomandation, as he believes that Bazile has a huge potential and can become a good Bundesliga player….and at 23 years he still has time to fulfill his potential!

Until now, Madson is our greatest signing! I am really impressed with what he has to offer… he has great tackling and marking and very good physical skills, if you want, he’s a Ramires (Chelsea) type of player.

Madson started his career at Corinthians, but it seems that he wasn’t good enough to play for them, so he was sold at Paulista where he also failed to impress! This season he played for FC Vaslui in Romanian first league and until now had a good season. My scouts believe that Madson is already a decent player for Bundesliga, but he still can grow a lot!

January fixtures and transfer window!

In Zweite Bundesliga, the second league of German football, where is a winter break between 22 December and 10 February, so we played 4 friendlies in this time, preparing for the second part of the season.

So, we played 4 friendlies from which we manage to win 2 of them, made one draw and we were defeated once.

Friendly Matches

Reutlingen 1 – 2 Red Bull Leipzig

Alex Emenike
Daniel Frahn

We won our first friendly against Reutlingen, a club from a lower league in Germany after a very pleasing performance, dominating the match and having a lot of chances to score.

Red Bull Leipzig 0 – 0 Werder Bremen

None

This is a very good result that will boost our morale for sure! For us, a draw against a big club like Werder Bremen it’s something very special, as for now, we are a small club with big ambitions.

Red Bull Leipzig 0 – 2 Plauen

None

We’ve lost the match against Plauen, but I am not too upset about this, as I tried to use a new tactic and I also used my reserves and a couple of youth players.

Red Bull Leipzig 4 – 2 Lyon Reserves

Georg Teigl
Alex Emenike
Thiago Rockenbach
Yussuf Poulsen

In our last friendly we defeated Lyon Reserves after a solid performance. I am pleased with the 2 players that joined us and I think that now we can acomplish my personal objective: to finish at least on 10th place.

Transfer Window

The most expensive deal in this window is the transfer of Jordy Clasie, which joined Juventus from Feyenoord for a fee of 14.25 m euro. Juventus has a very solid midfield with Pirlo, Marchisio, Vidal and Pogba....so I think that Jordy did a stupid thing joining them, he will never break in the first eleven!

Victor Moses, which I think is a very good player, joined Ac Milan from Chelsea on a fee of 8.5 m euro. I think that Milan really did a great signing and if they will use him and have faith in him he can become a top class player!
Decent results there!

February fixtures!

February was a very short month as we were programed to play just 3 matches after the winter break that ended in 10th of February. In this 3 matches we obtained all the three results posibble, a draw against FSV Frankfurt, a victory against Union Berlin and a defeat against Dusseldorf.

Zweite Bundesliga Matches

Red Bull Leipzig 0 – 1 Dusseldorf

None

We started the month with a defeat against Dusseldorf...and I am not pleased with this result, as they are just 13th place in the league.

Union Berlin 1 - 2 Red Bull Leipzig

Daniel Frahn
Daniel Frahn

This was a very important game for us and I am very glad that we managed to win it! Union Berlin was on 8th place, one place in front uf us and with this win we managed to get 2 points in front of them! Once again, Daniel Frahn had an amazing performance!

Red Bull Leipzig 3 – 3 FSV Frankfurt

Daniel Frahn
Bebe
Thiago Rockenbach

This is a shamefull result for us...and again against Frankfurt. The team from the last place in Zweite Bundesliga first defeated us 5 – 0 in the cup and now we didn’t manage to defeat them, making just a 3 – 3 draw...a bad result!

League Table

----------------------
@ Josh_MU - thanks mate!

March fixtures!

After the very short month of February, in which we played just e matches, came the long March in which we played 6 matches. In terms of performance, it wasn’t a very good month...but all that matters is that at the end of the month we are still 8th in the league!

Zweite Bundesliga Matches

Aue 1 – 2 Red Bull Leipzig

Bebe

We had a good chance to get past Aue and move up to 7th place...but we lost the match! We were very unlucky as we dominated them, having 64% possesion and 12 shots towards target but managing to score only once! Our keeper also had a pretty poor performance and he recieved 2 goals from 3 shots on target...

Red Bull Leipzig 0 – 3 Kaiserslauten

None

Second defeat in a row came and the morale was starting to be very low...we played very poor against Kaiserslauten, not managing to have a single shot on their target and we deserved to lose this match!

Sandhausen 0 – 0 Red Bull Leipzig

None

Again a poor performance...we were facing a team from the bottom of the table, a team that may relegate and we played so bad...if we keep playing like this we may fall down, and I don’t wand to go lower than 10th place. A team meeting is required!

Red Bull Leipzig 3 – 1 Heidenheim

Daniel Frahn
Daniel Frahn
Mathias Wittek (og)

So, it seems that the team meeting did exactly what I expected and we start playing nice football again! It’s true that Heidenheim are on 17th place...but this is a very good win for us as I feel that our morale is back and we are again playing a nice style of football.

Furth 2 – 2 Red Bull Leipzig

Bebe
Yussuf Poulsen

A draw against the team placed 3rd in the league..I will take that anytime! We are back in business!

Red Bull Leipzig 6 – 1 Darmstadt

Yussuf Poulsen
Yussuf Poulsen
Yussuf Poulsen
Georg Teigl
Bebe
Alex Emenike

Wow! What a great performance from my players...they were amazing today! We faced a better standing team than us, Darmstadt, which was sitting on 6th place and we obtained an amazing win!
Yussuf Poulsen seems to gain confidance and is starting to play better and better...and he is just 19 years old! Today was the best game in his life as he realised a hattrick and he also provided to assists, gaining a rating of 9.8!!

League Table

Youth intake

From now on I can firmly say: we have a bright future! This month we took a new youth intake and was amazed to see that a lot of very talented players with great potential become candidates for our youth team. I decided to sign them all, to give all of them the chance to prove what they can do!

Two really good prospects!

April fixtures

April passed and we are very close to the end of the season, having to play just 2 more matches in May…with this perfect month for us we achieved our objective, and won’t relegate, even more, we can’t fall below 11th place, even if we lose the last 2 matches remaining!

Zweite Bundesliga Matches

Karlsruhe 1 – 3 Red Bull Leipzig

Bebe
Yussuf Poulsen
Yussuf Poulsen

Karlsruhe is a club that started the season with big ambitios, aiming for top half, maybe even challenge for promotion…but now, almost at the end of the season, they are standing on 16th place and can even get relegated.
We took advantage of their poor form and low morale and defeated them, and I am very pleased with Yussuf which scored again a double…this boy has huge potential! I hope that he won’t suffer any serious injury!

Red Bull Leipzig 1- 1 St. Pauli

Bebe

A very important draw for us…but the real pleasing thing is the form that Bebe showed in the last couple of months, after a very bad start. I am thinking to extend his loan deal for one more season if Man Utd will accep…

Aalen 1 - 3 Red Bull Leipzig

Bebe
Daniel Frahn
Daniel Frahn

This win against Aalen was very important for us as weith this win we ensured that we can’t drop deeper than 11th place!
Red Bull Leipzig 0 – 0 Bochum

None

And we ended the month with a draw against Bochum…maybe we should have won this match…but it’s fine! Now we have 2 more matches to play and I aim to win them, I don’t wan’t to drop lower than 10th place!

League Table

Diego Demme – end of career?

In the last match of the month, against Bochum, happened a thing that I hate about football…our Left Back, Diego Demme suffered a very awful injury…he damaged his cruciate ligaments and we will be out around 10 months…It’s a huge loss for us, and I am sure that Demme won’t be able to play at high level ever again…I wish him all the luck!

------------------------------
@Griffo - yes Griffo!

May fixtures – End of the season

This is it…I just finished my first season as a head coach and overall I am very pleased with our performance! We finished on 8th place…amazing I would say, as our objective was to avoid relegation! From 34 matches played, we managed to win 13, made 10 draws and were defeated 11 times..scoring 51 times, but also allowing 49!

Now we will have a short break, in fact, our players will have a short break, I won’t for sure… first of all I will change a big part of my staff..I want to make a young staff team, if possible formed of former international players, as they will come with huge experience behind and my young players will have what to learn! After that, I wan to sell or release a big part of our team…yes, they played well this season, but I am sure that we can’t climb higher that 8th place with this team…so it would be a very busy transfer window for me!

Zweite Bundesliga Matches

Karlsruhe 3 – 1 Red Bull Leipzig

Daniel Frahn

Red Bull Leipzig 2- 2 Inglostadt

Bebe
Daniel Frahn

End of the season League Table

Best player of the season!

All the team played really well this season…achieving the 8th place hasen’t been easy…not at all! But between us was clearly a star, a player that probably deserves to play to a higher level and that player is our captain and striker Daniel Frahn!
In 33 matches played in all competitions this season, Daniel Frahn scored a massive number of 21 goals, he provided 7 assists and his overall rating was of 7.18!

Very good debut season in the 2. Bundesliga! Hopefully you can get a bigger budget and push on towards promotion next season!
For a debut season, this is amazing AAN. Frahn's finishing looks superb! A great striker at this level
