Liverpool Set For Chinese Tour

Liverpool, have confirmed that they will once again go on tour this year to the far reaches of China. When there, they will play Quingdoa, and Henan which will be the only two games the Reds will play. The dates for the games will be the 24th July | 19:30 K/O GMT, and the 28th July | 19:30 K/O GMT.

They leave on the 20th of July where they will train in the Quingdoa stadium, which should help the team prepare for the humidity in which the game will be played.

Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard gave us his thoughts on going on tour also, and he seems to be excited by the opportunity to play in such a big country, that has one of the biggest fan bases in the world for country.

"This will be a fantastic opportunity for the entire team. I think we are all going to experience a different culture, and it may help some of the younger players mature, as they will definitely find that they shouldn't judge a book by it's cover. The two teams we are playing are quality sides, and if we underestimate them we will be punished, so it's a good chance for the younger players to realise this."

"I myself am excited to get out and play. China is home to one of the biggest Liverpool fan bases and I am sure we are bound to see a lot of support. Which may also help spur the team on. I think we can come out with two wins here, we just need to keep complacency in the locker, and go out onto the pitch with clear minds. I hope the younger players can make an impact as well, I mean, players like me, Luis, Daniel, and Agger are all recognized because we start so often for this wonderful club, so I am calling upon players like Suso, Can and Nicola Murru to show the manager what they can do, and show the fans what they can do."

Liverpool will also play, Preston and Sunderland at home either end of the tour, before Rodgers' men take on Arsenal for the Community shield and Tottenham Hotspur in the Super Cup Final
Very nicely written update, as well as a nice graphic ;)
Good all-round story... nice graphics and nice write up, keep it up!
Great season, some nice graphics and great writing in what I've read. Keep it up for next season! :)

Liverpool Left Heartbroken

Words of John Henry
It brings me with huge regret, to announce to you all that Brendan Rodgers will not be carrying on as Liverpool manager, into next season. After such a fantastic season, which has seen us go back to the top of football, we would have hoped that the man to bring us this glory, would be here next season.

But once again, we take massive regret in informing you, that Brendan has been taken ill, and he simply cannot lead us into the next season. We, just like you brilliant fans reading this, are deeply saddened, and we do not know where to go from now.

We ask you, the fans. To keep faith. We will not let you down. You cannot afford to be let down, after this horrible, horrible news. Of course, we do not want to replace Brendan, and it will be extremely difficult for us to. Brendan, as modest as he is, has told us to keep going, to keep pushing on and fight for this club. We will do everything in our power, to see his wishes through.

You're probably thinking, "Well this is so sudden! How can this be?" Well, even we are not sure. Brendan is not sure. In the early hours of this morning, Brendan awoke to have a frightful scare. He will be ok, for now. But he will be living the rest of his life on medication, and in fear of another one of the 'scares' he had this morning.

We can't reveal what is truly wrong with him, as we want to keep a certain level of privacy. We will once again, ask every fan to have faith in us. We do have a letter, which was written by the man himself. And it reads:

"I am deeply sorry. To every Liverpool fan out there, I am truly sorry. I feel I have let the fans, the team and the club down. I cannot carry on as Liverpool manager, and I am afraid I will not return as Liverpool manager, I am 99% sure of this. This is just the way it has to be. THis is life.

I am sure the owners of the club will have already told you by now, but I myself want to personally drill this into all of your minds. Keep faith in FSG. They shall not disappoint. Whoever they pick to take the club forward, you must get behind them, straight away. You did it with me, I expect the same this time around.

As the greatest fans in the World I am sure I do not have to tell you this. But let's make you sure of what is expected. You must rally round, as the big family you are, and stick together.

Lastly, I want to say thank you. To everyone. John, Ian, the team, Steven, and all of you wonderful, wonderful fans. I have achieved a great things at Liverpool last season, but it's not about me, it's about the club. Liverpool have achieved great things last season, and I am 100% sure they will continue to do such things.

Once again, thank you."

Sheit.

Who Can Fill The Gap?

It's, just a day since John Henry's heartbreaking revelation, but it's a time where the Liverpool team, and fans has to rally around, group together and push forward with their football. It's a time where Liverpool must look at hiring a new manager, and replacing Rodgers, before pre-season starts.

So, who are the men that could take the reigns? Well, it's not an easy one to call, and this is definitely something Liverpool need to be careful with. The club needs someone who knows the club. Someone who knows the players.

The favorite to take over, is Rafael Benitez. A man who took Liverpool to two Champions League Finals (Winning one), a second place finish in the Premier League, and one FA Cup trophy. However, we do understand that this team has changed a lot since he was last here, so the Napoli manager could be off the cards.

But, there are two options for Liverpool. Two options that could well see Liverpool maintain the form of last season, and take into the next. The first option, is Jamie Carragher. A man who has made a total 737 apps for Liverpool, winning a total of 12 competitions with his parent club. He has won six individual achievements such as a PFA Player of the Year, and three Liverpool Player of the Year awards.

But again, this team has change big time, since Carragher's retirement, and Liverpool might have to look closer to home. A man who has been with Liverpool for 16 years. A man who has made 669 appearances for Liverpool. And a man who has won 11 competitions as well as a massive 42 individual awards for the club he grew up supporting.

Yes, you probably already guessed. But this man is Steven Gerrard, and very soon this man. This legend...Could be Liverpool's manager, as well as their player and captain.
It's said to be one ballsy move by FSG if they do go ahead with this, and they have been thinking about it. But at his age, at this time...It might just work.

Who will fill this gap? Will it be Benitez? or will it be the man who made it over 17 years worth of appearances whilst supporting the clubs biggest rivals, Everton.

Or a man considered Liverpool's greatest player. Liverpool's most loyal player.
Psh Gerrard won't be half the player-manager that Francesco Totti is ;)

Neal: Omg, Neal, you're back with another comment, love you man!

Anyway, what makes you so sure it will be him? xD
