really liking that monthly update style! Unlucky that Allen wants to leave, but you've got so much quality in the midfield that he's just a spare part, and that money can be re-invested into the squad.

Great results last month man, keep it up!
joethequin: Thank you!

TodayAtTomorrow: Thanks a lot, the feedback keeps me running. Oh and believe me, the money was re-invested in some talents. Thanks again.
Great work so far mate! Despite my hatred for Liverpool :P the win against Man City was class!
k1rups: Cheers mate!

Interview with Raheem Sterling

Shortly after he was announced as 'Young Player of The Month' by the Premier League, English winger Raheem Sterling sat down for an exclusive chat with Liverpoolfc.com.
The young footballer seemed very excited for the recognition of his great performances during October with 1 goal and 2 assists, along with an average rating of 7.73.
Below is the interview with the rising star of Liverpool, Raheem Sterling.

Firstly Raheem, congratulations for the award of Young Player of The Month. You've been brilliant for Liverpool during the last month.

Thank you a lot, it is really boosting my confidence to see my hard work is recognized.

What is it like working under a club legend like Sami Hyypiä?

It is very pleasing to work under someone that is no stranger to the system and club, like Hyypiä. I can tell he has been very determined and professional since day one and he is very eager to lead the club to success and glory, however he also is very friendly with everyone.
He spoke to me in his first days as the manager regarding the squad status, telling me I'm in his first-team plans and he counts and believes I can do a very good season and I'm glad he was correct.

Is there any difference between former manager, Brendan Rodgers and current manager Sami Hyypiä? Philosophy, approach and tactic-wise?

There is not a big difference, Sami resembles Brendan a lot with his demands and coaching-style. They are very similiar, both are very determined and ambitious and played as defenders so their philosophies are alike. Tactics-wise, Rodgers played 4-3-3 and Hyypiä plays 4-5-1 but yet again it is no different in unbelieveable way.

How is it to play with Steven Gerrard, one of Liverpool's greatest players ever?

It is fantastic, Steven is kind of players you dream to partner with as a child and young player. He is a true legend of the club and is highly respected in the dressing room, I look up to him as a player and person - hopefully to be as influencing and good as him.

How is the atmosphere in the dressing room, is it any different from Brendan Rodgers' time?

The atmosphere is fantastic, my teammates are very happy because we currently experience victories and success which leads to happiness. Rodgers knew how to put us back to earth during such times and how to pick us up during tough times with bad performances and so is Sami however we have not experienced tough times with him yet, so credits to him.

In a press conference with Sami Hyypiä following the club's announcement of him become the new manager, he claimed that he aims to challenge the title and reach the quarter-finals of Champions League. What is your opinion and expectations from this season?

I believe he did not want to set too high expectations in his first season, especially after a brilliant season with Rodgers on the lines and I do agree with him, challenging the title is a very realistic goal and with more maturity and experience - we can finally win the trophy. As for Champions League, I believe quarter-final is a great target and I hope to reach even further than that.

Would you like to give a message to Liverpool fans?

I'd like to thank all fans that have been congratulating me on social medias and who have been supporting me this season and since my arrival, it boosts player's confidence a lot. I hope to continue playing for the club with performances as good as last month that awarded me the Young Player of The Month.

OK, thank you very much for your time and the interview and we wish you to keep being in-form, Raheem.

No problem, I enjoyed it and thank you very much for the wishes!

Liverpool's un-beaten run continues with great performances

45,000 fans visited Anfield as Liverpool, under Sami Hyypiä, beat Mourinho's Chelsea 4-1 in the late stages of the match despite being outnumbered with three assists of Liverpool's star and Man of The Match, Daniel Sturridge.

The game's opening was amazing due to the scoreboard shows 1-1 after only six minutes as a great free-kick of Oscar from 17M in the 6th minute cancelled an early lead of Liverpool from a short-range shot of Lallana, assisted by Daniel Sturridge in a counter-attack, three minutes in the game.

The game went quiet after these goals and was revived with the double-substitution of Hyypiä when Steven Gerrard and Fabio Borini replaced Coutinho and Adam Lallana because Steven Gerrard gave Liverpool the lead once again, only five minutes on the pitch with a free kick into the top-right corner from 18m. Borini tripled the score when he headed in a cross of Sturridge and he completed a brace three minutes later in injury-time with a close-range shot to another cross of Daniel Sturridge who just had three assists in the game.

3' Gooooooaaaaaalllll! Daniel Sturridge led a counter-attack after a corner of Chelsea and passed Lallana into the box, Lallana released a shot to the near corner from a tight angle and yet beat Courtois, 1-0 to Liverpool so early in the game!

6' Drogba dived just outside the 16M box and the referee surely believed it, whistling and showing Lovren a yellow card. Oscar took the free-kick and beat Pepe Reina with a forceful kick over the wall. Goooaaaal! Oscar levels the result, 1-1!

37' José Enrique bumped into Oscar's back in the center of the pitch and the referee whistles for a foul. The referee talks with Enrique and it is a yellow card, the second of José Enrique. It is a red card and Liverpool is left in 10 players, the referee was maybe a little hasty with the decision.

76' Oscar pushed Raheem Sterling outside Chelsea's box and it is a free-kick from 20M.

89' Goal, goal, goal, goaaaaalll!Sturridge crossed a ball to the near-post and Fabio Borini, the fresh substitute, got out of defenders and to the cross and headed in. 3-1!

90+1' Just like in the last goal ,Sturridge crossed a ball to the near-post from the right wing and Borini tucked it in with a powerful shot. 4-1 to Liverpool and it seems the substitution worked perfectly well for Sami Hyypiä.

90+3' The referee blows the whistle and finishes the game, a great win for The Reds!

Paris Saint-Germain 0 - 1 Liverpool

Daniel Sturridge (19)
Mamadou Sakho

The match was below average and ended as a 1-1 draw which cut a run of six consecutive wins of Liverpool that remained in the first place, followed by Tottenham and Southampton.

The only remarkable events were the goal of Enner Valencia who signed for The Hammers this summer for a fee of £12M and later the equaliser of Adam Lallan in the 63rd minute with a lovely free-kick.

5' Goooooaaaaal! Nolan passed Valencia to an one versus one against Mignolet and with a great shot to the top left corner, the opposite direction, he gave West Ham the lead surprsingly enough to leave the fans at Anfield shocked.

63' Kouyaté tripped Coutinho approximately 30m from West Ham's goal but it wasn't far enough to hold Lallana back from scoring. Lallana stood behind the ball and fired the ball goalwards with the whistle of the referee and it is a goaaaaaallll, straight into the net! 1-1!

90+5 The referee ends the game and it is a draw between Liverpool and West Ham United. Sami Hyypiä should question himself why his players couldn't translate the dominance into a victory.

* I had eight matches in December and I chose to divide it into two updates. The rest games for the month would be in the next update which should be up today or tommorow.
Not a great start to the month, esp. the match against 10 men United, although great win against Villa!
Nick: I know but I expected it after two and a half months when my performances were top-notch. I was furious when van Persie dived and got the penalty but shit happens. Thanks for the comment. :)
A tough set of results but a good end with the thumping of Villa
k1rups: Like I said to Nick, I pretty much expected but nonetheless I was disappointed, It'll get better though.
Nice layout, but not the best month...
Tallery: Tell me about it, hehehe and thanks a lot!
