FANS OUTRAGED AT LACK OF FUNDS AVAILABLE

Ugly scenes today at Goodison Park, fans have been protesting around the ground since the early hours of the morning. Fans have been airing their frustration after it was confirmed the club have only made £6 million available for boss Zinedine Zidane to use over the summer. Fans protested throughout the day and into the evening with various banners and flares. Police have confirmed arrests were made.

Zidane secured Champions League football for the Toffee’s after an incredible second place finish, the Frenchman would have surely been looking strengthen over the summer. However with just £6 million available, fans have questioned how that can be done.

Fans have questioned owner Bill Kenwright, know will need to strengthen. Money has been available to Zidane in the past, having brought in players such as Patrick Roberts and Pierre Emirick Aubameyang.

The fan’s outrage grew after it was confirmed Everton received around a combined fee of £60-70 million for their season finish, TV rights and participation in the UEFA Champions League.

Both owner and manager are reluctant to sell their star players, it may mean that Everton will have to try an exploit the loan market, something they have done so well in the past with the likes of Romuelu Lukaku, Gerard Deulofeu and Gareth Barry.

When we caught up with Manager Zinedine Zidane and this is what he had to say about the situation.

Look, it is not a perfect situation. I have a good relationship with the chairman and I don’t want to jeopardise that. I have lined up a couple of loan deals, two players that will add strength in depth to our team from two of the best teams in Europe. One very creative player from a former club of mine. Another a very solid young midfielder from another Premier League side.

We do have one target for a permanent transfer. He was brought to my action by my head scout. A very exciting player, not your common household name. However we have done our research and he is a solid that can add quality to our side. Something for our fans to get excited about.

ROBERTS INJURY BLOW

Everton have been dealt a massive blow as they prepare for the start of their new Premier League campaign. Youngster Patrick Roberts has been confirmed out of action for a minimum of five months with a broken leg. The spell on the side lines could lengthen up to seven months depending on his recovery.

Roberts suffered the injury whilst playing for England in the Euro 2016 tournament. England team mate Ross Barkley is likely to fill the gap whilst Roberts recovers. Roberts was just settling into life at Everton and was able to cement his place in both the Everton and England senior side. Both club and country will be hoping for a smooth recovery and that he comes back just as strong.
Ah man, a shame to see Roberts missing out for the next five months. Hopefully you can rally around this injury, luckily you do have Ross Barkley to fill the gap though!
£6m transfer budget after a 2nd place finish is an absolute piss take for sure. What the hell is the board and owner pissing away that money on i wonder?

Also i echo Josh's sentiment that Roberts will be a big miss but it's good that you still have Barkley to fill his shoes.
Josh_MU - he will be missed for sure!

Noobie - I really don't know! I will use the £6 million to the best of my ability, have to see how it pans out for us.

EVERTON SECURE DOUBLE LOAN DEAL

Jese worked under Zidane at Real Madrid

Everton have today completed two loan signings until the end of the season. The first of the signing comes from the Galactico’s of Real Madrid. Jese Rodriquez has joined the Toffee’s. The attacking Spaniard is very versatile, he can be played as a striker or across the midfielder. Keen to link up with former Real Madrid assistant and his game time was limited at Madrid, Jese makes the switch to try himself in the Premier League.

The second of the loan signing’s comes from the Premier League champions. Central midfielder Marco Van Ginkel joins the club till the end of the season. The Dutch midfielder made a name for himself whilst playing for Vitesse in the Eredivisie. After suffering with injuries in his first season at Chelsea, Van Ginkel failed to cement a place in the side. He is very calm on the ball and knows how to pick a pass too.

Both players will provide experience of playing at a higher level and add depth to the Everton squad. With the likes of Leon Osman and Samuel Eto’o leaving the club over the summer, competition for places is going to high in midfield.

ROONEY ANNOUNCES TESTOMONIAL DATE

At the age of 30, Manchester United and England captain Wayne Rooney has announced he will play his testimonial match during this pre-season. Rooney will line up for United against boy hood club Everton at Old Trafford on the 6th August.

EVERTON CONFIRM GUDELJ DEAL

The versatile midfielder is eager to get started

It has been well documented over the summer about the lack of funds made available to Everton boss Zinedine Zidane, however the Toffee’s boss has carried on with his business as usual. Zidane is confident he has found the right man to spend his money on. Nemanja Gudelj joins for a fee of £4,800,000 from Dutch side AZ. Gudejl is a versatile midfielder who can be played as an attacking or defence option.

Gudelj has spoken of his excitement to join Everton and be involved in Champions League football. Here’s what has had to say “ I knew clubs were watching me last year, this drove me to improve. When Zidane called me, how do I say no? The club seems to be great, great people, great facilities. I cannot wait to help the club push on in the League and the Champions League”.

Everton have also confirmed the signing of Shaun Butterfield from Blackburn. The sixteen year old will join up with Everton’s under 21 side to continue his development. Butterfield is a versatile attacking midfielder who can play across the midfield.

Butterfield comes with an immense amount of potential, defiantly one to keep an eye on and could be involved in the Everton line up in the next few years. Butterfield joins the Toffee's for a fee of £500,000.

He has been great for me in my Valencia story, very good signing :)
Honestly, it was a risk because I had never heard of him! not even on fm. Hopefully he works out just as good for me :)

Strong looking team!
A nasty setback for Roberts, there. I hope he can bounce straight back after those five months, as he seems to have progressed very well for Everton. I'm surprised to see you've only been given £6 million, especially the year you need it most with CL qualification, but you seem to have brought in some quality players, regardless. Good luck for the new season and congrats on 2,000 milestone!
denzy - thanks! Hopefully they perform as well as they look. :)

P-Kiddy - I'm surprised at how well he has done. I know :( my transfer revenue from player sales is only 25% so dont know were money will come from! Thank you and thank you for your support :D
That is a very strong squad indeed!
