Not enought width in the first season.

"It has been tough so far. We knew that our budjet was smaller than the other teams an at this point in the season it's starting to show." - Mr. Shroom

What happened then? What is he going on about?

These and other injuries saw us dropping form. Also the full league table for everyone to see!

"As Mr. Shroom said earlier, it has been difficult. We are still hanging on to a spot in European football though, which is extremely exciting. The league table is very tight in the top half so anything can happen." - Assistant Manager, Kalle Turunen

The cup run comes to an abrupt end due to injury crisis.

"It was disappointing to go out of the cup so late, again. It would have been nice to reach the final, but this gives us a chance to save that extra bit of energy and push for European football via league position." - Assistant Manager, Kalle Turunen

The final push for Europe! Was it enough?

"It has been a humbling experience managing in the Premier League for the first time. We learned a lot and will improve next season." - Mr. Shroom

Here's a list of the final matches this season. Decent record!

"We had a decent run of results towards the end of the season. We have been scoring more goals lately which is enouraging, even though we have also been conceding a few more than before." - Assistant Manager, Kalle Turunen

Top 3 finish needed for Europa League qualifiers. Did we do it?

"It's a brillian feeling! We managed to win the last match of the season and that took us to European football! I am absolutely extatic!" - Mr. Shroom

"Everyone worked their socks off and the squad has earned a good long holiday! The hard work begins after the players return from their vacations and we will be doing everything to be competitive in the Europa League qualifiers." - Assistant Manager, Kalle Turunen
Nice updates, and well done on qualifying for Europe!!

Finnish League Cup - As freezing as the temperatures

"We all thought that we were ready to go. As we can all se that was definately not the case. A terrible experience in what was luckily the least important competition this season." - Mr. Shroom

Clearly the results will have to be better in the league!

"It was really quite terrible from the start. We were lucky to reach the playoffs as the best third-placed team out of the pack. The game against HJK was actually a lot better. RRegardless we didn't deserve to play in the playoffs." - Assistant Manager, Roni Lindroos

One more forced transfer, you might have heard of him!

IN!

Lassi Hurskainen, 30, GK
Free Transfer

OUT!

Teppo Marttinen, 20, GK
72 000 €, moved to HJK

"We didn't want to let Teppo go but HJK made an offer we could not refuse in our financial state. We were also lucky that Lassi was a free agent. Hopefully we will be able to cope with his injury proneness." - Mr. Shroom
Zap: Thank you for haveing a look! Obviously I'm blind to only notice it now, but better late than never I guess. And yes! Happy to be in Europe.

Part I - HJK too strong!

"We are expected to challenge for the title this season. Our squad suggests a mid table finish but that was the case last year, and now we're stronger in all areas of the game." - Mr. Shroom

Decent first half of the season in the league

"We have done well. Only three losses is fine at this point. The latest form of drawing matches is something we will have to take a look at." - Assistant Manager, Roni Lindroos

And this is how strong HJK actually are...

One more forced transfer...

OUT!

Yeray, 22, CD
160 000 €, moved to Sporting

"This is a terrible loss. He was our star player and to lose him because of a release clause trigger, which we had no idea about, is a kick in the nuts. This will hurt us but we wish the best of luck to Yeray in his efforts to get Los Rojiblancos promoted to the La Liga." - Mr. Shroom

Part II - CUPS CUPS CUPS!!!

"We are honored to be taking part in this season Europa League Qualifiers. Hopefully we can challenge the best of them." - Mr. Shroom

"Winning the Finnish Cup is also a life long dream and something we will be pursuing this season for that automatic spot in European football next season." - Assistant Manager, Roni Lindroos

Let's start with the Finnish Cup so far

"It's good to be in the semi final. PK-37 play in the second division, but they managed to somehow knock out HJK in the quarter finals so we will have to be up on our toes for this one." - Mr. Shroom

Europe! Can you hear us??!

JJK started their journey in european football by easily knocking out Azerbaijani side Qarabag. The second round was way more difficult against Hungarian Ferenváros but the squad managed two narrow wins to secure a spot in the third round!

And what a round it will be! JJK are facing a trip to London! Tottenham will surely be the ones to progress but the experience will be amazing!

"We are absolutely delighted with the draw! It will be the greates experience for JJK fans, players and staff ever seen. Hopefully we can be competitive and show the world what Finnish football can do when properly challenged!" - Mr. Shroom

CUPS CUPS CUPS!!! cups cups cups......

"EURO Cup and the Finnish Cup have taken a toll on our players. Everyone's tired and it's a struggel to perform." - Mr. Shroom

The Finnish Cup comes to an end

"They knocked out HJK and now they knocked out us. Clearly they have exceptional quality for a 3rd tier team. We should have done better and the red card by Jordi van Gelderen was a terrible mistake that led to the loss." - Mr. Shroom

Tottenham take their chances, well no really.

"Everything went as expected. Tottenham dominated both games and we were lucky to have the lead for a few minutes through Liikonen's goal. I feel we were competitive enough and losing 6-1 on aggregate is not too bad against a side like Tottenham." - Mr. Shroom

Get in! How did we don in the league?

"It was a difficult season with a lot of matches. League Cup, FPL, the cup and the EURO Cup amounted to a sh*tload of matches. We managed quite well considering the width of our squad." - Mr. Shroom

HJK take the top spot once again

"It was difficult to manage stamine in the late parts of the season with all the matches overwhelming us. Some decent result in there though!" - Assistant Manager, Roni Lindroos

And here are the matches

"We finished with a good run and managed to improve from last season. The silver medals had a bitter taste as we had no chances to challenge HJK. Hopefully we can improve next season as we did win away at Helsinki 1-4. It was a truly inspirational performance." - Mr. Shroom

Transfers were made in the summer!

Rober Taylor, 23, MC/DMC
100 000 €, moved to Djurgården

Dudu, 26, MC
1 100 €, moved to FC Lahti

"We are happy with the transfers made. The finances look good going into the next season and I'm sure we can strenghten the squad further." - Mr. Shroom

Financial update

You're making fantastic progress and that's a great financial situation for you to be in at the minute! If you can keep challenging for European group stages, the club will continue to grow!
Justice: It is and has by now even gotten better with the sponsorhip income going up from 1,2M to 1,8M this season. Hopefully we can win the title next season as it is extremely difficult to go to the ECC or EC group stages only by qualifying for EC qualifiers. Everything's possible though and thanks for following! :)

League Cup 2018

"For once we managed to do well in the group stage. Unfortunately that form did not transfer to the playoffs." - Mr. Shroom

"IFK Mariehamn proved to be too much for us in the semi final. We would have loved to get to the final but once again it was not our year." - Mr. Shroom

Major transfers for the whole 2018 season

IN

"Evans and Peuget will take control of our midfield, while the former Sheffiled striker Dieseruvwe will be a critical force up front." - Mr. Shroom

Premier League 2018 part 1/2 and a Finnish Cup special

"Mixed feelings at this point. We'll see." - Mr. Shroom

The cup proved to be too much this season as we are knocked out in the 7th round

"As I said before the season it would have been nice to finally win the Finnish Cup. It was not meant to be as HJK defeated us after extra time. This gives us more time to concentrate on the league though, hopefully we can take advantage." - Mr. Shroom

The first 15!

"A brilliant start to the season as we are sitting on top of the table. Hopefully we can keep this form going and finish with the title in our hands." - Mr. Shroom

Premier League 2018 part 2/2! The final standings!

"Incredible." - Mr. Shroom

It was a tight run thing

"When your team only loses three times out of the 33 matches in the league you'd think that the title is easy. This was not the case as the title was decided extremely late on." - Mr. Shroom

This is true! FF Jaro were the one other team competing for the title, and only five games before the end of the season they were top of the league with a one point cushion.

"It really took a toll on my nerves. We had to play Jaro twice in the last five games. As you can see, we completely wrecked them and walked away with the first League title in the clubs history! What a feeling!" - Mr. Shroom

JJK take the League! History in the making!

"We are extremely happy with this incredible achievement. We can now concentrate on our first ever Champions League qualifiers next season. I can't wait!" - Mr. Shroom

Award ceremony! (League)

Top goalscorer: Francis Chibuike (21)
Most assists: Emmanuel Dieseruvwe (9)
Highest rating: Francis Chibuike (7.34)
Safe hands: Walter Viitala (14 clean sheets)

Gongratulations to the winners!
