In the first match in the month of December, against rivals Porto, Sporting winger, Carlos Mané, leaved the pitch with a small injury. He would be out for a week, and returned to competition in Madeira, against Nacional.
After the last match for the Group Stage in the Champions League, Sporting's left back, Jefferson, suffered an injury on a training session. The estimated time for his recovery is of 4 weeks. And he will only be back in 2016.
In Madeira, on the match against Nacional, another winger would have the unluck of be injuried. Serbian Zivkovic, was substitued after a though challenge from the opponent player and the news about his pain were not the best. The medical department of the Lions informed that he will be back only in 2016, after a period beetween 9 and 12 days that will be need to his recovery.
Thankfully his absence will only be short. It's good to have these kind of updates to keep us informed with every bit of the internal side of the club! Keep it up, Murtagh! :D
Jack: I hope to improve this inside stuff about the club. Maybe some updates on the coach mind, or some conversation with the president or something. I'll try to make some different stuff in the "new year" in the game :) And thank you very much for your support mate

William Carvalho
The portuguese international, and Sporting's Academy pearl, William Carvalho receive the Stromp Award for Best Player of the Year.
In 2015 William, was very important on the Taça de Portugal win, the first trophy for Sporting in the last 7 years.
He also was a part of the portuguese National Team of U21, that finished second in the European, losing the final dor Sweden. William Carvalho won the Award for Best Player in this competition.

Jorge Jesus
The charismatic portuguese manager only arrived at Sporting in June, but that's no reason to not give him the award.
Since his arrival, Jesus have already won the Supertaça de Portugal, beating his former team Benfica by 3-2.
The best was still to come. With almost half of the Primeira Liga played, Jesus's Sporting is on a great moment, and solid on the first place.
In the most important european competition, the Lions have archieved the qualification for the group stage, and succeeded in overcoming a very hard group.

Revelation of the Year

Gelson Martins
The revelation of the year at Sporting, is yet again another Sporting's Academy diamond. The young winger as only 20 years old, and he's making it into the Sporting's main squad quite brilliantly.
After an amazing season at the B team in the last year, now, by the hand of Jesus, Gelson arrived at the first team, and he's not letting this opportunity go.
This year he as won the Supertaça, being chosen for the starting eleven in this game, and played much more matches for the Primeira Liga, Champions League, Taça de Portugal and Taça da Liga.
He was the man of the match in the game that put Sporting in the Champions League Group Stage. Gelson got in at the half-time with Sporting down by 2, and scored the first and assisted for the second goal of the Lions at the 92'.
William Carvalho will continue to be a star for you, do your best to keep him! Nice update once again :)

Jack: I'm preparing a new contract for William and some more. ;) And as always thank you for the kind words.

PSG bids €24M for João Mário

The french champions tried again to get an Sporting's midfielder from Lisbon to Paris.
After failing to buy Adrien Silva to the Lions in the Summer's Deadline, now PSG made a bid of €24M for João Mário.
João Mário arrived at Sporting with 10 years old, in 2003. He made all his formation in Sporting's Academy, and played sucessively for the Portugal's youth national teams.
In 2011 he made his debut with the green and white shirt for the first team, on a Europa League match.
He took an definitive place on the main squad last season, when former Sporting's coach, Marco Silva, called him for the squad, after a very sucessful year on a loan at Vitória FC.
In that season he would play 45 matches with the Lions shirt, and scored 7 goals.
This season he's one of the most important players for the Lions in the midfield, and Jorge Jesus has no intencions of letting him go.
The french offer for the Sporting man was rejected, and Jorge Jesus said that PSG should look somewhere else for a player, because Sporting is not interested in selling any of his players on the Winter market.
Nice bid by P$G
€24 million can get you a LOT in the Portuguese top-tier, but you are the boss and I can't argue with your decision there - he must be a hell of a player for €24m
SooruSooru & Jack: It's a good offer but definitely far from what I would be able to accept, or even negotiate. João Mário is young, one of the best players of the team, and is a Sporting's Academy player. We might negotiate him, maybe ... and for something above the €45M mark ;)
£45M!!! :O . I don't think the arab f***ers P$G will accept
1
SooruSooru: Yeah, they didn't. But I mean in Euros, I don't really get my head around £. And my FM is in portuguese so I feel more confortable talking in euros. But anyway, my future plans don't contemplate the selling of my home-made midfield trio: William Carvalho, Adrien Silva and João Mário. They're here for the long term, and I'll do an update on Jorge Jesus's thoughs on that :)
