MARSEILLE OFFER CHRISTOPHE GALTIER NEW CONTRACT

Olympique de Marseille have today taken to desperate measures to make sure that they do not lose their title winning manager by offering Christophe Galtier a new four year contract at the Stade Velodrome. After winning Ligue 1 in the 2017-2018 season, Galtier is believed to now be interested in staying at the Stade Velodrome although it is believed that he has received offers from other clubs including recently promoted Birmingham City, who will be hoping to appoint a manager who can keep the club in the Barclays Premier League.

On the clubs official website, in a statement from the manager, Galtier stated earlier in the season that he would be leaving upon the expiry of his contract stating: ”I was shocked that I wasn’t offered a contract earlier, especially as the club knew my contract was expiring. For the success we have enjoyed here, to not be offered a new contract was disappointing and I have told the club that I will leave the club at the end of the season.”

Club president Vincent Labrune, has today confirmed on the club’s official website that ”we have offered Christophe a new contract that will last until June 2022. However it is unsure as to whether Christophe will accept and it is already well known that he told us earlier in the season that he will be leaving. We hope that this new offer will tempt him into signing on with us for the foreseeable but we are well aware that he has received offers from other clubs in England, Italy and in Spain and if he wants to take one of them then he is the one that will be making this choice.”

Unfortunately for Olympique de Marseille fans, it is unsure whether Christophe Galtier will accept a new contract at the club. With a range of contract offers on the table it is not certain where the title winning manager will end up next.

Congrats on the renewal

THANK YOU!

Hi Guys,

Unfortunately, for this story, the latest update will be the last. At least it will be the last for now. Having started my Parma story a couple of weeks ago, my intentions now are to concentrate on that story and I hope that you can all get behind it as much as you have got behind this story!

I am extremely thankful to everyone who commented and read this story as I never expected it to get anywhere near the amount of views it has received, let alone be nominated for a story of the month or for winning a story of the month. Like I said it would be amazing and extremely appreciated if you could all check out my Parma story and be as supportive of that story as you have been with this one!

However, just because the updates are stopping here for now, it doesn't necessarily mean it is forever as I believe the last update has left room for the story to continue if and when I decide to continue it. Consider this a hiatus of sorts.

Once again, thank you to everyone who helped make this story what it was, there will be more content on Parma regularly and maybe one day back here with Marseille too.

Thanks once again,

mgriffin2012

Well my French Griffin brother has now moved to Italy, congrats on all the success with this story and I hope you stay with the Parma story for just as long!
Gutted to see this end here, hopefully you'll be back for more one day! But if not, you had a very, very good innings - what a story man!
Good story unfortunate it is over for now but the Parma one is a good read
